Are Memphis Tennessee clubs worth it ?

I have already read enough Nashville TN review to not bother with the city (for strip clubs).

The Memphis clubs seem to offer better mileage according to the reviews. Does Memphis follow the same ordinance as Nashville?

I make it known that I'm an extras guy. However I will visit a club to not engage in other activities. There are times I just want entertainment and a good FULL CONTACT Lap dance. If any clubs in Memphis can provide that I'm good.

Memphis was once a great strip club town but died in Dec, 2006.

I take it Platinum used to be one of your favorite spots.

You know strip clubbing as an industry needs its own book. So much history and legacies in the United States.

That being said, there are other clubs in Memphis.

I read the same discouraging reviews before a first-time, one night visit a couple years ago. Managed to get FS at Purple Diamond. That’s not to say that the streets are lined with pussy. Hope you like beer, because there’s no hard alcohol served in SCs. Also, the few places that have day shifts are a waste of time. Go check out Beale Street and the Lorraine and Peabody Hotel ( The Peabody was the inspiration for the Commodore Hotel in Little Feat’s “Dixie Chicken”) instead. Or Graceland, if you’re into that. I’m not. Any Winehouse is my go-to self-destructive artist. Her music is more fun to fuck by anyway

    No.

But if the reviews of Memphis clubs are to your liking, you should find out for yourself.

Memphis is not a great strip club town (anymore) but it is better than Nashville. I would put it as pretty average with minimal contact but at least it isn't just air dances like some places.

When I am in Memphis I usually just enjoy the food and music without planning to hit a club, but if I find myself bored I'll go to a club instead of sitting in the hotel.

    understood everyone. Thanks.

Its terrible because technically, it's faster for me to get to Nashville and Memphis than Atlanta. There clubs are so poorly reviewed on here (particularly Nashville) it's not worth the gas money and travel time required for a casual trip.

@ ww, I think I may try Purple Diamond at least once just to say I've been there. That's the only one I found decent reviews for.

===> "Hope you like beer, because there’s no hard alcohol served in SCs."

This was the case the last time I clubbed in Memphis. But we were allowed to bring our own hard alcohol and pay for a setup and mixers. Is that still the case or is that no longer allowed either?

Even 10 years ago, I heard stories about how Memphis clubs sucked. But between the ability to bring my own liquor bottle and some luck in finding a good OTC partner, I had a good time there. Heck it was the first time I ever hooked up with a girl that had freckles from head to toe - boy did that answer some questions for me. 😉 It was out of the Gold Club if memory serves.

Rick: I do think some clubs provide "setups" for customer-provided hard liquor at a price

Manuel: Thanks for the update. Tbh I found this to be pretty neat and cost effective.

Thinking about it further, I must have read something about the BYO liquor, because I recall bringing a half-pint of Tito's into the Gold Club during a futile afternoon visit. Not my habit to carry alcohol on me. I shared a drink with the one dancer in the club and left her with the bottle.
BTW, I have no idea what Gold Club is like in the evening. It seems huge while empty. The one thing I can say is that there is a clear view of the bar from the LD area, and presumably a clear view of the LD are from the bar.

I remember the clear views too.

But overall I remember Gold Club fondly. I know my review of the club 10 years ago was not spectacular, but I returned the following week and had a much better time. Back then we didn't have the comment option, so I was limited in my ability to post an update.

As a general rule of thumb, anywhere I can go see hot girls, drink on the cheap and find great OTC opportunities is a hit for me. Ms. Freckles, who was hot as hell, sat and drank out of my bottle for a while before we arranged OTC. I would welcome the chance to go back to Gold Club if I find myself in Memphis again.

From the mid 1980’s when I first started hitting Memphis clubs until the early 2000’s , it was one of the best mongering cities in the country. In fact, it had developed a worldwide reputation as I learned during my international travels.

Since then, has been pretty awful though value OTC has continued to be reliable if you’re willing to accept lower standards. I believe he only site that has survived this 40 year term is Gold Club. It was Cherokee Rose when I first started, later became Deja Vu and maybe something else along the way.

My discussion from ten years ago was pretty much the same.

At this point, Gold club may get you an OTC experience.

Newer reviews mention that ITC is rare or discouraged.
