I've done thst for a club party I was planning with the boys. I still felt obligated to throw some yash so at the very least they know I'm paying (it was also a poor excuse to go to a club and break my own rule if not going till the party).

Like you bro, they have done things with your life. They found means of finding better routes of income just as you had to take responfor what is important. And especially since you called up well beyond the time they decided to clean up their act, they like their new lifestyle and don't want temptation of seedy ways (that would be you) to ruin their comfortable way of living especially for a few extra bucks. They obviously have a head on their shoulders and don't want to fall back into their drug habit (you) and even worse if they do then the rest of the club will just to keep up. And she is being a good friend by protecting her friend from unsavory elements. After all your comment and actions made her assume you aren't the friend she needs even if your last intention is to truly say hi and bye. Caution is now a necessity in her life. You probably did see her as a friend only (or a special acquaintance) but friends come and go. No need to dilute the pure after all.

Sounds like you don't have the best head on your shoulders. Instead of wasting money at the strip every day, if you really hate the traffic, ask to hang out with one of your work buddies because that up to 70 beans a day your blowing could be used to buy yourself some nee clothes or accessories, more for gas or hell just more money when you actually intend to have a prolonged period at your favorite strip. Still you can't beat a free Buffett. Sounds like your seriously wasting good gas (or cufflinks if your a suit guy) on a whim just because your impatient. But still for the one witht the free buffet.
