smoking jacket is an overgarment designed to be worn while smoking tobacco, usually in the form of pipes and cigars, or for domestic leisure.

Smoking jackets have declined in popularity since the 1950s, though a minority of wearers still exists, Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner being a notable example. In its January/February 1999 issue, Cigar Aficionado stated that it was time the smoking jacket be brought back

Right on BigTunaDude. Keep rockin' the smoking jacket.

Me...well, let's just say I go with the classics. I either wear groovy robes akin to late '70s Rush or I wear a "Flash" outfit. Either ensemble gets lotsa looks when I'm out and about.

I don't have a smoking jacket but I use to have a TP hat back in junior high. Everytime that we TP'd somebodies house, I wore that hat. I miss that hat.

I guess smoking jacket sounds better than shiny robe.
