I was able to use the Add a Club feature of the site quite easily (thanks, founder!). There is now an entry for Red Rose, so start adding reviews, discussions, and photos. RIP, Expose.

Yes, it's open. I plan to visit once I'm back in town. Will have to figure out the add-a-club feature of tuscl, maybe get a sign pic. If anyone is up for a visit, let me know

Yes, Expose was owned by the Palazio people, which is why you'd often talk with dancers there who had recently been dancing at Palazio. Palazio goes for the Vegas look-and-feel, while Expose was more the Cheers-with-tits vibe, based on all the regulars who hung out in the bar area. My understanding is that the people opening the Red Rose are the same folks who opened Bare: the Yellow Rose owners.

There used to be a Red Rose in Austin, back last century. Seems like they are trying to go a bit upscale from Expose, but that's like high-jumping over the curb.

Had several hot dancers sitting with me at a table after a bachelor party came roaring in during day shift at an Austin club a month ago. They were all sitting around the main stage, where two dancers at a time were doing sets of 3, and one of the dancers who came over and sat down said that the entire group of a dozen or more was only tipping $5-10 per set. Pretty easy for me to slide into a cabana with one, then both, for much more fun than any of the bachelors were having. So, now I say "bring on the bachelor parties!" Better experience for me. The dancers find it easier to recognize who's willing to spend, and the dichotomy works in my favor.

roosta, are you going to club during the day, at night, or both? Avoid P10 North and Palazio, which both charge silly money for cabanas. For variety, you might try P10 Cabaret, in addition to suggestions above.

Given how Austin seems to have become the Bachelorette capital of the country, recently, my guess is that downtown Austin hotels, whether Marriott-branded or not, don't go down this road with women drinking in their establishments.

@Papi, how often do you fly? Do you fly internationally? Do you fly for business using OPM? You also want to ask yourself how many nights you stay in a hotel per year, and whether any of that hotel spend is OPM. I used to have Citi AA card (with $495 annual fee) but dropped it a couple years ago as the benefits dried up, and my flying slowed down to a couple trips a month, on average. I now use a couple of hotel credit cards which had nice sign-up bonuses (hotel points come in handy even for staycations, which air miles don't) and Citi Double Cash/Citi Costco for cash back -- which spends just fine for flights, hotels, ride shares, tequila, wine, dances at strip clubs...

What bars do you normally hit up? 6th Street or elsewhere?
