The Sex Trafficking Canard

“When a tweet accused Marriott Hotels of "working with the feds and keeping [an] eye on any women who are traveling alone," training staff to "spot an escort," and "not allowing some women [to] drink at the bar alone," Marriott's official account proudly confirmed the observation: "You are correct. Marriott employees all over the world are being trained to help spot sex trafficking at our hotels."

Cindy McCain, the widow of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain, apologized Wednesday after Phoenix police disputed her claim that she stopped a human trafficking attempt at an airport.
McCain saw a woman of a different ethnicity with a young child and told police that she suspected trafficking. Police did a welfare check on the child and found nothing wrong.
Like mentioned if any good looking, dressed up woman is at the hotel bar, restaurant, etc "alone" some nitwit will think "trafficking" and make calls. I agree most Marriot hotels are off my list now to visit just for that reason. Not even for OTC or "escort" type activities. Their stance is like FOSTA law and it is BS. I read an article the other day that showed in SF that "sex trafficking" crimes or arrest have gone up since that law was enacted. Since the law was supposed to "curb" sex trafficking it is pushing more into it. Which is horrible.
Yeah, this is why I hate the word “trafficking”—especially in the sex industry. It was actually the internet, from what I’ve heard, that allowed many sex workers to be independent in the first place.
I also looked around and saw several women there by themselves, but they were all either much older or not attractive in the least bit.
So a couple friends decided they wanted to go try out dancing in another city. And booked the Marriott as their place to stay.
Got harassed from staff for dressing provocatively (dresses, tank top, shorts that cover butt). Specifically asked if they were lesbians dating each other. Was being questioned for leaving the hotel and coming back after 2 am. Had their room searched even though the sign was up for do not disturb.
Good lord. I’ve been staying in Airbnbs and can happily state my experiences have been much more pleasant. 😐
just say ‘no’ to PC.
I didn’t realize it was that highly Mormon but that makes sense now. Definitely illuminating. Most of the various Marriotts I’ve stayed in was when I was visiting with my EX BF (before he left me for a pack of hombres) and I had no problems at any location. But then again, I did have my patriarchal chaperone with me so that’s probably why.
It’s amazing they can get away with their behaviors and target 20something year old unaccompanied females the way they do. But since it’s in the name of “trafficking” I suppose that’s why feminists aren’t up in arms about this. Despite being a long standing problem.
I would think if this happened and the girl was willing to take legal (at least civil) action, that Marriott would likely lose the case and probably be forced to change their practices (at least their more draconian practices) - they seem to be basically profiling mostly based on the look of a person(s)
That said, SLC is impressive in a lot of ways. Its in a conservative state, but their politics are very pragmatic and progressive in many ways. Mayor Biskupski is a progressive and a lesbian...
If the girl doesn't have an appointment in the next hour and likes you, you can go have food in the hotel lobby and share a plate of food and have her put fork of food in your mouth like you are a kid, and you can feed her 20 mins before cum filled mouth until they text her she has another appointment coming up.
I guess you should stick with hotels from a sluttier family, like Paris Hilton's, lol
