To be honest, I am starting to not see much value in sourcing from strip clubs; not that I ever saw it as as really great activity, but realistically speaking in areas like NYC it is probably a lot easier to just go for an escort. And if your budget is $400, you can actually get a pretty damn good escort.

Yeah, it could even be that some dancers have told other dancers to stay away from their customers. Not to say that's always the case, but some dancers try to be greedy and assume "their" customer doesn't want to go to any other dancers. At the same time, you have to make sure you don't appear like a RIL with any dancer, and other dancers will take note that you're available.

Tijuana, Mexico, as the location may imply is pretty much all about Latinas. Not white women. I love latinas, because I suppose not everyone shares that.

I think TJ is paradise personally, but it is also not for everyone. Knowing Spanish is the key to unlocking most of the fun down there.
I actually paid lots of girls in pesos during my last trip, and found that:
1) It seems to make you look more experienced to use pesos, especially coupled with a working knowledge of Spanish to talk to them. They will typically respect you more.
2) Sometimes you end up getting a better deal when you negotiate in pesos too.
I also had no problem using the ATM in Hong Kong to dispense pesos, although it does have a relatively high fee it's not the worst thing in the world.
For a first time visitor though, probably easier to deal in dollars, and nobody in that area is going to mind being paid in dollars either.

At the end of the day, I think Rick does have valid points in his article. Sure, you probably don't need to sit there with a bespoke tailored suit to find hookers, but it wouldn't hurt your chances.
The concept of making it clear that you HAVE money you're willing to spend, but aren't necessarily just going to drop it carelessly inside the club with no action is dead-on. It's a tough thing to portray sometimes, but you basically make the girl hungry for your crash and drill in her mind that the only way to get it is through OTC (or ITC, if that's the desired result/possible in the club you're at).
I do not think it's appropriate to call a guy a "player" if he's just hunting for tail in a strip club, because yeah, at the end of the day you are paying for it. But, at the same time, it DOES take some degree of skill to have a good batting average with this. Targeting the right girls, portraying the correct vibe, etc takes experience.
Of course I can go into certain clubs and literally just ask for sex. And no doubt, Dougster, it's going to work sometimes. But I think there could be value to more specialized tactics. Like I said, I'm of the opinion that going totally suited up to a club might be overkill, but there's way more to it than that anyways.

Backpage is becoming more and more susceptible to stings it seems. They've been doing similar crackdowns here in NY/NYC area too, and it's quite scary. I'm not much of a BP fan myself. If you really want to engage in this stuff, TER with well-reviewed girls is probably still a good bet.

rick, I totally agree it's really awesome that even without traveling to a third world country, certain parts of the USA have pretty cheap p4p rates. Even in Pittsburgh which I visited earlier this year, which is probably more on the expensive side compared to some cities, it's much better than say NYC.
I do have to disagree with you about Tijuana though. Here's what I'll have to offer:
- If you are concerned about cleanliness, I do somewhat agree that some of the girls don't really care as much as they should sometimes either and the city as a whole is somewhat of a dump. HOWEVER, a lot of the big, newly renovated clubs are actually really nice. The hotel rooms in places like Cascadas aren't bad at all, and Pueblo Amigo or Ticuan (where you can bring escorts) are actually quite nice.
- Most of the bar girls that I take up (which you can do for as low ~$60) don't have a problem with showering before + after the session, especially if you personally insist on it. I've even encountered some girls who insist on it themselves. Plus, they tend to smell pretty nice anyway. I've taken a liking to some of the "spanish" perfumes they use.
- For the cleanest experience, escorts are of course the best. And while the hourly rate starts at about $120 usually, it's a guarantee GFE session with BBBJ, etc. Sometimes CIM too. You can also have the girl for the whole night (8 hours) for around $350 with most agencies. Some of the girls are SUPER sexy and really know how to fuck. I've had sex with plenty of girls in the good 'ole of US of A, but my best sex has definitely been in Tijuana.
- It's really awesome to hang out in the clubs with the girls. I don't know, I guess I'm a young guy that's into the really cool house music they're dropping in Mexico (better than what they play in the US, too). It has a cool latin vibe to it, and the girls really get into it. I'll frequently dance with the girls in the club and we'll hook up there first. They'll feel up my crotch area and I'll go ahead and take them up to fuck, hehe.
All in all, what TJ provides is a really cool environment to have lots of fun. It's not just about the sex for me, the girls are really energetic and when you find the right ones, they really really try very hard to please. There's a level of respect for men that is present in other countries that doesn't really exist quite as much in the US. Sure, I may be technically considered a gringo down there, but I know the scene well, and I can speak Spanish relatively well - so the girls won't generally try to rip me off either.
If I was to take a trip solely for sex, Tijuana would certainly rank among the top for places to go for me. Even if in the south I can get sex for cheap rates like you said, Tijuana is a guaranteed, sure thing with a HUGE selection of girls all over the place. Sometimes I even have luck with civie girls in the regular night clubs there. You can go there and get bottle service for the equivalent of like $70-80 in the "nicest" club, and girls will easily come over to your table. Some dudes take girls from clubs like Hong Kong while they're off shift, bring them to a regular night club, and use them to attract more girls to their table :) Makes for some nice multi-girl sessions, if you know what I mean!
I cannot replicate the fun I have in TJ in the USA, no matter how hard I try.
