I think it's kinda sad that I can't seem to fully comprehend that a woman would have sex with me for $60. That blows my mind.

I know hong kong is attached to a hotel...fairly reasonable rates. I just ain't real sure I want to "sleep" above a strip club in a bed that has probably been coated with semen 7092 times and is cleaned by someone that is lucky to make $5 a day. Coming from California and crossing a border, I ain't gonna have a gun with me...so also a bit worried about some late night visitor.
The jacuzzi room sounds like a good time...but again, do I want to get in a tub of water that probably has 17% Mexican semen and various diseases? Not to mention it's Mexican water to begin with. I mean, I can't wrap my entire body in a condom!
Just seems like a more respectable hotel nearby might be a better choice. The problem is, will the strippers go back to that hotel with you or not? And the San Diego hotel is an idea...probably safer and cleaner...I just don't see crossing a border, drunk, with a Mexican hooker, at 5AM...as a good "Plan A".

Clubbing is for lonely men, married men, or men with very sexually interesting girlfriends that are willing to go with them.
Men in happy fullfilling relationships don't tend to need to blow $200 to have company and some nice boobies in their face.
I ain't hatin...I love clubbin. Nothing like variety to keep life interesting. But I don't kid myself.

I don't think you're allowed to take a phone out in some clubs.
I leave my phone in the car. I've lost 2 so far due to drunkeness. This last one cost me too much...I ain't riskin it.

@ macandbum...concerning #6. I actually agree with you 100%...strippers chase the money and not the personality. BUT...sometimes the club is slow...sometimes they're tired, or bored. Sometimes they have to choose between a rock and a hard place. In these instances, personality doesn't hurt.
The best times I've had at strip clubs...besides getting extras...were times when I got to really "connect" with a stripper. I like to make them laugh. Not where they fake laugh to try and get you to spend money. I try to get them to really laugh. I almost make a game of it. Sometimes during the lap dance I'll see if I can get them to laugh and ruin their conentration.
For example...I was getting a "so-so" lap dance once...just a girl ramming her but into my pelvis in a bored fashion. Well, as she was doing this, I said..."wow...you and I are wearing the same underwear." It was nothing....it wasn't a "knock knock" joke or anything. But I tell ya...she laughed so hard she stopped dancing for 15 seconds to try and get her concentration back. I thought it was hillarious. They are so used to "seducing" with their bodies....that it's sometimes fun to see if you can mess with their game a little.
And I tell ya what...the dances are usually better once you get them liking you or at least amused.

@ MADDOG...I feel the opposite about regulars. No offense to the "regulars", but they just tend to annoy me. They truly do act like they own the joint and half the time end up getting pissed off and getting kicked out...or they end up hogging a certain girl that I want a dance with while actually not spending hardly anything.
@jackkash...I TOTALLY understand that as well. I HATE when you think you have a connection or you find the "one" that you want more dances from and she pulls the "I'll be right back" and then disappears. I had that happen last weekend...the dancer left me in the lap dance area and said she'd be right back. She was gone forever and finally I just left because I felt like an idiot sitting in the lap dance area by myself. About 30 minutes later the girl finally emerged from the back fully dressed heading to her car.
That brings up another thing that makes me "uncomfortable". Last weekend a girl gave me a dance and after that I turned her down a couple times. Well, the 2nd time I turned her down, I told her I was just in there and was taking a break...well, this super aggressive dancer came over RIGHT after and suckered me into a dance...and while I'm in there...he comes the stripper I turned down not 2 minutes earlier. I just felt like a dipwad...like I got caught lieing.
I do need to try and stick to a budget. I felt bad this past weekend because I just wanted to spend <$200 and by the end of the night I was out >$600. It's not that I'm cheap or can't make rent or anything...it's just that I left the club feeling "bad" because I couldn't control myself. Now...I did get the best BJ I've ever experienced....I mean, those toungue piercings are for real. And my first sex ever with a black chick...cross that off the bucket list. But still...leaving out over $600 (stripper scammed me out of about $230...but that's another story)...I felt like a moron.
I was trying to save up a bankroll for my trip to Detroit in March...well, now I'm $600 poorer...and I NEED that money for Detroit...the biggest and best strip clun Meca North of Mexico. : O

@rick...nope...definitely not young...definitely not new to the process.
@macandbum...I've seen a few high end clubs where a girl can come off the stage with as much as $100 worth of singles ...too much to possibly fit in her g-string. But given the house fees...the money is in the lap dances. The strippers don't go to the DJ asking for more stage time...they tell the DJ they can't go on stage because they are with a customer.

Okay, first, sorry I didn't make it an article. I had just posted an article and thought two in one hour would be a little pertentious. But it would have been a better article.
As to the two that seem to be the source of interesting disagreement, #11 and #17:
#11- This is just something I personally believe. A stripper is like a waitress, you tip them no matter what unless you really, really have reason not to. They may not have been the best ever...sometimes you may not have even wanted the dance to begin with. But if they did their job...giving them that extra $10 rather than have them "break a $20" is just the classy thing to do. And if you want that stripper to keep coming back to you...or even "extra services", you need to let them know you're not "cheap"
Now, I did hold back tips on one occasion. A stripper that was very large and unattractive hustled me into a dance offering me 2 for 1. And of course, after offering 2 for 1 and me agreeing, she said at the start, "you're gonna take care of me and tip me for this right?" Well, it was a horrible lap dance and after one song she said that it was 2. I told her it was only one and she tried to tell me the DJ often merges songs together. I just gave her the flat amount and went back to my table.
The sad thing is, she eventually came back and wanted to know if I wanted another dance promising that it would be even better...and while she was sitting there...the waitress came over and asked if I wanted to buy her a drink. I half heartedly agreed out of pure "being a gentlemen" and by the time the waitress returned, the dancer had left to try to get some other sucker to get a dance from her. I didn't want to pay for the drink because the dancer wasn't even there and didn't even want it. But the waitress said it was already ordered. So I just paid for it, no tip. The waitress got snippy and said, "What? No tip?" I was adament about not giving her one because A) I was annoyed and B) It's just a dancer/drink common hustle anyways. My buddy finally just gave her a buck to go away. Needless to say, I got my drinks at the bar the rest of the night.
#17- Hey...maybe I haven't reached the player status of some of you guys...but I've only seen it happen once and it was an older gentlemen who was apparently laying down some serious cash for the experience. My thing is...if you can go to strip clubs and get the dancers to go home with you...why go to strip clubs? You should save the money and go to regular bars/clubs where the girls won't charge for the sex.
The thing is...almost EVERY guy wants the stripper to go home with them. Most strippers don't...unless it's a guy they actually think will pay them very, very well...or it's a guy they kinda like. I mean, at the end of the day....strippers are just girls...they'd like a little company at night as well. But my advice was for the new guys and the cheap guys...you will be very, very lucky to just show up at a strip club with $60...and talk your way into a stripper taking you home and give you free sex. It's just not gonna happen.
As to the guys that don't drink, that's totally cool. Especially the designated drivers. But I was aiming that at the guys that don't spend money and are just there for 3-4 hours of staring (in a creepy way) at naked girls. The club doesn't make money and neither do the girls...and that's not cool. I'm not saying you can't do it...it's just "lame" and it will eventually be noticed and you'll be "that guy" that the strippers and staff want nothing to do with.
I watched a guy read a book at a strip club once. Not saying you'll get kicked out...just saying it's kind've dorky.

Think of it as a pyramid.
The state has laws against how nude the women can get and what can happen in establishments that serve liquor versus ones that don't. The states all have laws against prostitution in clubs other than very few legal brothels in Nevada.
However, the management of each club will determine how strictly they monitor dancers and customers while they are in the club. Most clubs tell the dancers the "rules" and then give them a wink and leave it up to the dancer as to what she wants to do. If the dancer gets busted, the club will say they told her (or posted) the rules so it's not their fault. Other clubs, the bouncers are keeping a close eye on what is going on and will take an active role in making sure the club rules line up closely with the state laws.
That being said, in almost every club I've been to...the dancers set their own rules. I've seen clubs where the patrons were only allowed to touch the dancers on their butt and legs...but there was a guy in the corner with his shirt off. I've been to clubs that offer full nude dances and the stripper I chose simply says she doesn't take her bottoms off. I've gotten lap dances from strippers and asked for sexual favors and had them tell me they don't do that...but they could tell me what dancers do.
Most of the clubs will "know" what their dancers are doing. They put up curtains for a reason...bouncers get tipped to turn a blind eye...and the club gets a cut of dances in those "private areas".
I've found that the clubs in college towns with younger girls working...the rules are fairly strict and uniformly enforced. The clubs near airports or in the middle of nowhere...things are a bit "loose". I've found Canadian clubs to be a bit more strict compared to some American clubs...but there are no hard, fast rules.
Best way to know what is allowed...simply ask the dancer. They want you to enjoy yourself so they'll let you go as far as allowed.

Depends if you wanna do extras or not. Depends on how hot you are.
Hustler's and Penthouse are pretty high end. Great places to get a gig if you're a supermodel, and won't have to give extras if you don't want to. The 8-mile scene does less extras and you don't need to be that hot. But you might get killed on the way to your car. The south suburbs are the best place if you don't mind giving extras.

I was used to very low mileage stuff, good looking college girls at Deja Vu and the full nude clubs in Canada.
Then one night I went to a small dive club in Indiana when I was in town for a paintball event. There was no VIP area, just a bench along the wall. She gave me some decent dances, nothing special, and then at the end of the one dance, she actually moved her open mouth up and down my shaft on the outside of my pants. It doesn't sound like much, but I never had anything close to that happen before so I was shocked.
Then, 4 months later I went to Detroit...and looked back at the Indiana event and thought, "WTF...that was nothin!"
As to how to make it happen...I've learned ya just go for it and the stripper will eventually let you know the limits or she'll let you know how much needs to be paid to go beyond those limits.

As to the OP;
1) I don't see the need to go to a dive like Henry VIII South when you can get fine service pretty much anywhere in the 313. Might cost a little more at some places, but...I'm not clubbin in the back alleys of 8 mile to save $150.
2) I've been curious to try Arnie's Idle Hour now that I'm living in Illinois...BUT...the reviews here kinda scare the crap out of me. I don't know if I can make it from the car to the club alive...not to mention whether I'll have a car when I get done. AND...not a huge fan of gigantic, toothless, black women...but curious nonetheless.
As to the post, it's a topic that is talked about quite frequently here in the reviews, so having a discussion out in the open shouldn't be a massive shocker. I can't foresee a cop deciding to investigate a club because of something they happened upon on the internet. The cops in those towns know exactly what goes on in each and every establishment....they don't need our opinions.

A popular movement in Europe is to decriminilize prostitution but heavily criminalize "Johns". So it's not against the law to be a hooker, but it's against the law to purchase her services. The effort has lowered john activity in those countries, but there unforeseen dangers with such legislation.
1) Supply and demand. As demand goes down, prices go down. Hookers are no longer able to make as good of a living.
2) Because being a hooker is no crime, but being her client is, she can extort money from her john or even threaten to report someone as a john when in fact they are not.

Private VIP areas are definitely superior. But shared areas definitely vary from club to club. I've been elbow on stools, or on couches 10 feet from the main stage...these are not "VIP" areas as far as I'm concerned.

I am a dancer but I want to know what men prefer....so I have a few questions?
Poll tricks or not? I love pole tricks! Whenever a gal shows that she actually has "talent", more than just walking around on the stage with her tits out, that makes me wanna tip her just for the effort.
Booty dancing or slow and sensual? Slow and sensual. Any girl can get on a stage and wiggle her butt. The real trick is, can you be seductive and get into my head?
Talkative dancers or straight to the point? I love to talk to the dancers. I want to feel like they are generally interested in me, and not just my wallet. I know that's naive, and stupid, but I guess if I'm gonna drop a ton of money...I'd like to at least "feel" like the girl wants me.
Is drinking or smoking a turn off? Absolutely not. Of matter of fact, it's a turn on to see the girl drink. The drunker the better so I know that if I get a dance, there's a better chance that I might get more mileage than I would if she was sober. And, it puts us both on the same level, it's not a completely sober dancer taking money from a drunk guy.
Lingere or bikinis or costumes? I nice cheerleader outfit or schoolgirl outfit is MEGA sexy! I'm not so much into the other stuff...I really just wanna see you naked.

@mmdv26: What is "ESL"? 150 miles in which direction?
That portland review sounds a bit "too far fetched" to be real.
vincemicjaels may be right though. I've only been to one in that area, and it wasn't everything available for a price with ALL of the girls...but surprisingly with more than I could ever have imagined.
I'm actually still in shock about it quite truthfully. I always figured in order to get sex for money, I'd either have to go to some scummy massage parlor and pay a bunch a money for a HJ or BY from a fat, middle aged asian woman. OR...pay $50-$100 to some ugly Aids ridden black women walking the streets. OR...pay a grand or so to some high class escort. I never thought for $300 a girl that is in her mid 20s, HOT as HELL, would go all the way with me.

They need to have another category for extras. Right now it's just "value", which can mean a lot of things. The best club I've ever been for extras I rated as a 4-5 for value because the extras weren't cheap and the drinks were outrageous. But I think the vast majority of guys on this site want to know when they are headed to a certain area and want a BJ or straight sex, which club to aim for where that stuff goes on.
On the negative side of that...I guess if the cops wanted to crack down on "extras", they could use the site rankings to target those clubs...so I guess maybe it's not the greatest idea.

California
I've went to clubs in:
- Ontario, Canada
- East Lansing, Michigan
- Detroit, Michigan
- Muncie, Indiana
- Champaigne, Illinois
Ontario, Canada:
The clubs there allow alcohol and are fully nude. I've found that some of these clubs import women from overseas, especially the clubs not in the big cities. I've found that these clubs are very affordable, but your hands usually can't do much exploring. It's a decent grind, but usually no extras.
Michigan:
The rules depend on whether it's full nude or not. The full nude clubs (De Ja Vu) lean more towards "air" dances with some grinding but no touching really. These clubs are usually pricey, no alcohol, and the women are usually really hot young college gals.
However, the clubs near Detroit are topless and from what I've seen...some of them are almost brothels. An exceptional grind, touching, and sometimes "extras" depending on the c;ub and the girl. These clubs aren't cheap either...don't think you can roll into any club with less than $150 and get a BJ...ain't gonna happen. But if you roll in with $300 or so, you might have enough for some drinks, dances, and a little extra.
Indiana:
I've been to one club there and it was topless, although I believe that varies from club to club. I went to a smaller sort of dive club, and the dancers weren't the greatest...but the dances were great...a lot of touching, 2-way, and if I had more money with me, I might even have been able to arrange sex, although probably not at the club itself as there was no private area.
Illinois:
I've heard the clubs around Chicago are expensive and touching isn't very good. The dancers are hot, but the value is not. I went to one in Champaigne and the dancers were all hot college gals but they weren't allowing any 2-way touching...just a sort of dry hump dance with their boobs in your face. And there appeared to be no "extras" available nor a place to go for privacy.
I've really found that it depends on the club and the dancer. Except for the ghetto dives that give $60 BJs with fat black women...most of teh clubs need 2 things to provide "extras":
- A private VIP area. The bouncer knows whats going on, but as long as he can be tipped not to care, it's usually not a problem. But if the dance areas are out in the open, there's no privacy where a dancer can feel safe to offer extras without other guests and dancers noticing.
- A relationship with the dancer. The more time and money you spend with a dancer, the more "willing" she'll be to give extra stuff. Tip well, get multiple dances, let her know that you got money to spend. Then ask her for little extras like, "Is it okay if I touch you "here, there, whatever"?" Let things progress. She'll be much more likely to give you a handjob or a blowjob or more if she's comfortable with you, has made a decent amount of money off of you, and knows that you got some money to spend. And believe it or not, manners don't hurt. If you just start grabbing at her and trying to finger her or just blurt out during the first dance that you'll give her $100 to **ck you...that's not classy.

Agreed BJohnson.
They recently also had an embarrassing case in Hawaii when they tried to toughen prostitution laws and found a clause in the law that allows undercover police to actually have sex with prostitutes during the course of an investigation. Originally the legislature attempted to remove it but cop organizations lobbied to keep it in claiming in some cases they needed to actually penetrate the hookers in order to complete the investigation.
I can't make that up…just google it. I'm NOT kidding!
On the radio I heard a lady from some anti-prostitution organization and she was going on and on about how California is on the "cutting edge" by proposing legislation aimed at the consumers of prostitution (johns). But like you said, these people just don't "get it". They assume that every prostitute is forced into it and pimped. They forget that MOST strippers and escorts are doing it for drugs…some that became addicted on their own, others that were fed the drugs to make them slaves.
I HATE human trafficking. I hate the pimps and the gangs and smugglers and the ancestral parents that would push or drag innocent women or go so far as to kidnap innocent girls. I cringe at every horrible story I hear. And I feel bad every time I end up in a situation where I pay for sex and get any indication that the woman may not be the one truly profiting from it. And I would APPLAUD any government that would be so brave as to legalize prostitution, make it safe, disease free, and taxable. I'd applaud them for making prostitutes valuable workers rather than trash. I'd applaud police organizations for going after pimps and traffickers and gangs and kidnappers rather than hookers and johns (easy targets). I'd love the day when I could meet up with an escort, and if I have any suspicions, I could report it with no fear of retribution nor liability.
But we can't even legalize pot in this country…so I guess it's a pipe dream to assume we'd take that step. Despite the fact that I could find a prostate/escort an hour…every day….with nothing more than a cell phone and internet connection….we still live with the hypocrisy that it's only okay to bang escorts when you're a cop in Hawaii.
Oh yeah…and worse story I ever heard from an escort…was a cop, plain clothes, that after going to her room showed her his badge, called 2 fellow police officers, then proceed to rape her and beat her then stole her money and left. And thats not uncommon. Many escorts will have a story or two of where an officer offered leniency in exchange for sexual favors. Hypocrisy.

rickdugan-
I was referring to a state issue in California where a Republican state senator was proposing a change to the laws in California where ANY prostitution would result in a potential felony conviction for the John. The judge would have discretion IF it was a 1st offense. For subsequent offenses it would be a mandatory felony.
The law does not specify trafficking and/or underage "victims" nor does it increase penalties against the prostitutes themselves nor their pimps. It is primarily focused at johns.
It's not the law now, it is being proposed/drafted. Laws were already strengthened in 2012 when the voters passed a proposition that would link pimps and business owners with the human trafficking laws. It also would register pimps as sex offenders.
In my opinion, to echo a lot of conversation here…it seems that law enforcement should focus on traffickers, rapists, kidnappers, and pimps rather than going hard after johns. I feel that going hard after johns only drives the problem underground.
Take last night for example. I met with a young lady at a hotel. After meeting her and spending some time with her…I realized she wasn't the woman that answered the phone. I asked her who answered the phone and she said "boss…my boss." She spoke little English but from what I could gather has been in the country for 4 months and within the last 4 weeks has started working as an escort.
Well, as a "john"….imagine if I didn't have to fear being charged with soliciting a prostitute and my name added to the sex offender registry. Imagine if I could, on my way out, tell the front desk or call a hotline or even flag down a passing police officer. I could have possibly improved her situation or at least put her "bosses" behind bars where they belong. But nope. It's a shame.
