Need advice from those that have visited the Mexican strip clubs...

If you're gonna try to get here off property for the night then your Spanish had better be pretty good. They normally expect you to stay in the club or in the rooms next door for an hour.

I've not been there, but I do appreciate your desire to check it off from your bucket list. I'm planning to do the same when next in southern CA, but would probably change the approach you're considering by staying within the club (per Sowhatt's advice) and returning to the US either that same day, or staying the night in a nice/safe hotel and returning in the morning.

It's been about 5 years for me, but I popped a blue pill in San Diego and hit three street girls near Adelitas for about $40 each (with room fee). Just didn't see what I was looking for in the club during the day. Know some phrases (e.g., on tu cara? perrito?) to negotiate, carry lots of $1s and $5s rather than $20s. Just bring over your condoms, passporte, keys, and cash. Keep emergency $ in your shoe if it gives you piece of mind. Get a cab to and from Adelitas, and be cool with everyone. Also, police presence in the Zona is a good thing.

Oh, and when the border agents ask if "you're bringing anything back with you?" just say "you sure hope not." They'll get the joke.

I just went to hong kong and adelitas today. Alone. IT'S NO BIG DEAL! Go ahead with your plan and don't be scared. I also went at night. I don't think it's any more dangerous than going out alone in some shady downtown area like LA or downtown Philly area which can be shady. My advice is dress down. Sneakers, jeans, no leather jacket. And wear a hat/cap. Makes you blend more. I actually wore a jacket with a hood. I put my hood on with my hat already on in some of the darker walking areas and on the pedestrian bridge walking to my car. People were scared of me! One way to keep people away from you. The cab guys were very friendly. As soon as you cross border. They are there. They take you right to clubs. When you finished they are right outside and take you back. Just say voy a la frontera. No wait at line getting back to USA. 10:30pm. Bring your passport. BTW - I found an "18" yr. old beauty who was probably younger at adelitas and I had a great arriba session for $60. Do I think it was worth overcoming my fear of crossing border. F Yea!!!

Also you don't need to stay at hotel in Mexico. Just stay in s. Diego. Go for a few hours then come back. I think it's unlikely to get a stripper to stay with you whole night. Just pick 1-3 of them over course of 3 hours- bang the shit out of them for 30 min each in their next door hotels and get the hell back. Vaya con dios!

I know hong kong is attached to a hotel...fairly reasonable rates. I just ain't real sure I want to "sleep" above a strip club in a bed that has probably been coated with semen 7092 times and is cleaned by someone that is lucky to make $5 a day. If you live in S. Diego/Los Angeles- then it makes sense to take the trip and cross the border. But if you are flying here and/or driving here from a far distance- then yes you are spending obviously airfare, gas, hotel. So that totally negates the savings you get even for the $60 sessions. But, I recommend at least once- the atmosphere is so wild-loud music, you can drink at the clubs (most strip clubs-LA- no alcohol) and just the feeling that it's legal to "fuk" whoever you want and you dont have to worry about some bouncer checking in on you, just totally gives you a "high" that no drug can give you. (metaphor -I dont do drugs-only some marijuana in college)

And you're right...it would be better to not have to worry about a guy with a flashlight and clipboard hastling ya. The only change I would suggest to your plans is not to try to get a hotel on the mexican side. Just go to the clubs and take the girl to the club's normal hotel rooms. The club and the girls have a regular relationship with these and would be nervous going to a strange place with a strange man.
