LD Rules By State

I'm from Atlanta, although travel quite a bit, fortunately to cities that feature decent SCs. Atlanta's not bad, actually - here's the rundown:

• Full nudity with alcohol at every club I know.
• Upper tier clubs feature mostly $10 Air dances with prettier/classier girls. Clubs include Cheetah, Pink Pony, Mardi Gras, etc. These clubs also feature expensive VIP rooms, but I believe privacy and mileage are comparatively limited.
• Lower tier clubs have full friction $10 dances with generally less attractive, but mid-range (4-7) girls. The best is Follies, but there's also Shooter's and Oasis. The VIPs can be quite private and high mileage with the right girl, and for like half the cost of upper tier clubs.
• Bottom level/least expensive clubs offer full friction $5 dances with sub-par women (2-4 range). These clubs tend to be black-oriented and the LD songs seem to be shorter. Clubs include Pin-Ups, Babes, Masters, and some others, but my experience is limited.

Of course, the above reflects my very general perceptions, and the ranges of girls do overlap. You'll get the occasional dog at Pink Pony and the occasional stunner at Follies (always nice to find), and I've had decent interaction with cute/fun girls at Pin Ups, so it's good to keep an open mind.

I live in Virginia. The strip clubs here suck. For the most part, they're all pastie. You might find one or two clubs on the outskirts of Virginia that are topless, but that's about it.

Another thing I don't like about the strip clubs here is the poor value. At a club that I go to once or twice a month, you have to pay AT LEAST $60.00 to get a two-way dance (it's a 2 for 1, so you get two songs, but still poor value). You can't touch the dancer unless you pay $60.00 or more. Such poor value. I KNOW I could get two-way lap dances for much better value in other states. Not to mention the girls would be fully nude rather than just down to a thong and pasties.

I have a birthday coming up 2 months from now. I'm going to go to one of the West Virginia clubs where it's fully nude and I can get more bang for my buck!

In southern Florida (Key West to West Palm Beach) the average is nude on stage and tables(ide) with bottoms on for private lap dances. Most table and private dances include contact to the exposed areas. Of course the more upscale clubs lean towards the tame side with the less expensive venue's providing more value to those who favor tactile participation over visual appeal. There is little to no correlation between availability of nudity and liquor. There are places where you see pasties and air dances, and places that border on brothels but most clubs fall in line.

The west coast clubs (Tampa area) are a mixed bag with offerings running the gamut. It's kinda hard to generalize them, but they are well documented in their reviews.

The central area is notoriously tame complete with pasties, air dances and juice bars. These clubs are great for taking your significant other to, they generally leave with a favorable picture of your clubbing habits.

I don't really have experience for the northern Florida area.

And not to hijack - but I'm getting sick of these "2-4-1" dances that are just a bundle of multiple songs with little to no discount. $50 for two dances isn't two for one unless one dance is $50! Just call them specials damnit!!

Detroit: If the dancer isn't sucking your dick within 30 seconds, it's considered an air dance.

I've went to clubs in:

• Ontario, Canada
• East Lansing, Michigan
• Detroit, Michigan
• Muncie, Indiana
• Champaigne, Illinois

Ontario, Canada: The clubs there allow alcohol and are fully nude. I've found that some of these clubs import women from overseas, especially the clubs not in the big cities. I've found that these clubs are very affordable, but your hands usually can't do much exploring. It's a decent grind, but usually no extras.

Michigan:
The rules depend on whether it's full nude or not. The full nude clubs (De Ja Vu) lean more towards "air" dances with some grinding but no touching really. These clubs are usually pricey, no alcohol, and the women are usually really hot young college gals.

However, the clubs near Detroit are topless and from what I've seen...some of them are almost brothels. An exceptional grind, touching, and sometimes "extras" depending on the c;ub and the girl. These clubs aren't cheap either...don't think you can roll into any club with less than $150 and get a BJ...ain't gonna happen. But if you roll in with $300 or so, you might have enough for some drinks, dances, and a little extra.

Indiana: I've been to one club there and it was topless, although I believe that varies from club to club. I went to a smaller sort of dive club, and the dancers weren't the greatest...but the dances were great...a lot of touching, 2-way, and if I had more money with me, I might even have been able to arrange sex, although probably not at the club itself as there was no private area.

Illinois: I've heard the clubs around Chicago are expensive and touching isn't very good. The dancers are hot, but the value is not. I went to one in Champaigne and the dancers were all hot college gals but they weren't allowing any 2-way touching...just a sort of dry hump dance with their boobs in your face. And there appeared to be no "extras" available nor a place to go for privacy.

I've really found that it depends on the club and the dancer. Except for the ghetto dives that give $60 BJs with fat black women...most of teh clubs need 2 things to provide "extras":

• A private VIP area. The bouncer knows whats going on, but as long as he can be tipped not to care, it's usually not a problem. But if the dance areas are out in the open, there's no privacy where a dancer can feel safe to offer extras without other guests and dancers noticing.

• A relationship with the dancer. The more time and money you spend with a dancer, the more "willing" she'll be to give extra stuff. Tip well, get multiple dances, let her know that you got money to spend. Then ask her for little extras like, "Is it okay if I touch you "here, there, whatever"?" Let things progress. She'll be much more likely to give you a handjob or a blowjob or more if she's comfortable with you, has made a decent amount of money off of you, and knows that you got some money to spend. And believe it or not, manners don't hurt. If you just start grabbing at her and trying to finger her or just blurt out during the first dance that you'll give her $100 to **ck you...that's not classy.

Obviously not the kind of clubs you are describing, but they aren't overly ghetto either - can usually get a chubby white girl with a missing tooth for that price.

pasties covering up nipples are here 90-100% of the time in columbus and cincinnati. Hard to believe that back in 2006, Ohio had two of the top 10 clubs (Diamond's cabaret and Fantasyland West).

The most expensive strip club I know of is Columbus Gold. 3 for $150 is the lap dance special at night. Surprisingly the 6 rooms were filled up for the saturday night when I wanted to try it (the rooms are also used for the 30 minute champagne rooms). I later came back a few days later and got their dayshift special of 3 for $100. Two way contact was allowed but no extras available.

SoCal is interesting. While San Diego is very hands-off, L.A. & San Fran are well known to be VHM - UHM, generally speaking. Anything goes if the price is right.

The spectrum of dancers & dance prices here in LA runs the full range from $10 - $50, with everything from toothless skanks to actual Playboy bunnies. While it seems fairly straight forward, the dynamics of how SC's operate here is actually pretty complex.

In Minneapolis topless clubs serve alcohol and nude clubs are juice bars. In general there is only one way contact and couch dances are only done topless. A couple of clubs have semi private VIP rooms but not of these areas real compares to Tampa, Cocoa Beach, Indianapolis or especially TJ.

At the moment I am re-acquainting myself with various clubs in the greater Toronto area. Nothing has changed since last autumn. There are NO rules in the clubs I am visiting. Well, just one rule - bring cash and everything imaginable is available.

1. Ohio has a 6 ft rule (at least on paper) and there is to be no contact between dancers and customers. Thank god that most dancers and most clubs are ignoring this law.

2. I've been to one Portland, Ore. club and it was all air dances.

3. @Farmerart...Give us some reviews of the AMPs and SPs in Toronto. I've heard good things about their SCs but with legal AMPs with happy endings, and legal escorts I wonder how it affects the SC scene compared to places without jackshacks and legalized prostitution.

Detroit by the airport VHM low cost average street like looking girls. Washington Park, IL (EST) VVHM very low cost and the girls or women are very nice and frendly at the lower end clubs not much to look at and nice looking but lower mileage at the high end club, like Hustlers and Hollywood. Jacksonville takes more time to figure out then most travelers have available but a nice mix between Atlanta type and Washington Park clubs, but all are at a higher price. Cocoa Beach (IR)the best value for the buck in all of FL IMO,they should be a business model for all clubs in the US. Southern Miami, what a mix, still trying to figure it out.

Detroit, MI Anything goes for a price depending on the club.

NYC - it seems to vary per club, but at Flashdancers you do seem to get quite a bit of mileage. Touching seems to generally be OK (unofficially, anyway).

That portland review sounds a bit "too far fetched" to be real.

vincemicjaels may be right though. I've only been to one in that area, and it wasn't everything available for a price with ALL of the girls...but surprisingly with more than I could ever have imagined.

I'm actually still in shock about it quite truthfully. I always figured in order to get sex for money, I'd either have to go to some scummy massage parlor and pay a bunch a money for a HJ or BY from a fat, middle aged asian woman. There is usually a combination of both the state rules and city rules and then there are the unwritten city rules.

So in Pomona there is a three foot rule, but the dancers regularly come into the moat area to collect your tips, which somehow winds up with a lot of 'accidental' touching. The City of Industry is very loose not because of any particular rule but because the local sheriff's station has an unwritten rule not to bother with what goes on inside the club if they keep things orderly, safe, and legal on the outside.

The City of Colorado Springs has a law that has a 3 foot separation, minimum illumination levels, mandatory tip jars, etc. but as it turns out all but one of the clubs there are in little pockets of land not inside the city limits. Moreover in Colorado there is an apparent loophole, not available in other states that allows there to be a nonalcoholic nude club INSIDE of an alcohol serving topless club. Also various state laws have loopholes for byob 'private clubs'.
