As far as govt assistance, I met one once who told me her story. She was late 20's. She came to my table and asked me my name and wrote my name on her hand. I asked her why she did that. Before she was a dancer she had a head injury at her job. Seizure meds and bad short term memory. She was on Social Security disability and had a disability insurance for life from her employer. I think almost all women at a strip club have some figure where they would stop saying "no". It is just that for some the figure is "will never happen" high. Remember the movie Indecent Proposal? The question reminds me of that very old joke: A guy strikes up a conversation with a 10 at a bar. Heaving your math is quite a bit off. If every dancer worked from 19-29 the average age would be 24. the average career would be 10 years. That said no way 10 years is the average career. Purely a guess (see my post above) but for those that do not quit immediately I would guess 3-4 years, but the range stretches all the way to 20 years or more for a few.

Most dancers start when they are younger and quit when they are older :-) There are no statistics here. But a few points: We tend to forget many, many dancers (who knows, maybe half) dance for a day, a few days, a couple of weeks before they quickly realize this is not the job for them. We never really notice them. For those that do make a go of it, if you no longer see a dancer after a while, she may have moved to a new club. She may have moved to a new city and is dancing there. She may be in jail and will return afterwards. She may be having one of our babies and will return afterwards. Or, she may have moved on in her life. Or moved to a different form of sex work. No way to tell if she quit dancing. All we know is she is not at that club any more.

Not true about dicks not falling off. I understand it is a real problem for lepers.

There was another pair of sisters at Follies. They were polar opposites and did not look like sisters. They did not really let on they were sisters. Happened to me once. The emergency lighting came on and made it super bright (for a dark strip club). I was not in there, but they made everyone leave VIP and just sit together. No dancing although my dancer continued to play in my shorts. Also they shut down the bar. Some guys left immediately. Others started to trickle out as time went by. Some dancers went to the dressing room and some of those left. Power came back after 30-40 minutes.
