DC Man Puts Up Basketball Hoop On His House For Neighborhood Youth - Attacked

It seems no good deed goes unpunished. A DC man put up a basketball hoop on his house and allowed the neighborhood youths to use it, as a generosity. One night he asked the children to please stop at dark as his daughter had to go to sleep and board was mounted against her bedroom wall.

When the kids didn't stop playing basketball at 9:30pm he went out and asked them to leave. This angered the children. They attacked him, kicking him in the head, and breaking six bones.

No good deed goes unpunished.

I remember hearing about this earlier. The "child" who did this was reported as over six foot and about 220 pounds.

So, a guy in a high-crime city invited strangers onto his property, and that turned out to be very unsafe for him. Whoda thunk?

He mounted the hoop on his house wall in an alley to give the local children an activity.
