Milwaukee/Chicago. Never had any success. Once had a girl quote me $200 upfront so she could tip out and she probably did tip out -- she just never showed at the rendezvous point, i.e. she just took my money and ran. Learned the hard way not to do that again.
Only place I've ever had real success was in Indianapolis. $300, but for a buxom blonde. She was a little goofy in the head, though.

Whoops ... sorry bud. Must be the bevy of thick, dark-skinned profile pics. OK, going to the bathroom while LeBron is putting on his warmup, "I should be in the dunk contest but I'm too good for it" dunk show then. I'd come up with a Marlins equivalent, but ... who goes to Marlins games?
My Detroit stop is Penthouse and their LD areas are couches hidden behind curtains. The space is pretty big (like, 8'×8' or so) with the couch at the back of the space. So when the bouncer "check" goes from peeking in and asking if everything's good to just rustling the curtain as he walks by ... it makes a difference.
Can't speak to FC or anywhere else in Detroit as I've never been anywhere other than Penthouse.

I, too, have started going more and more for the older women as time has gone on. Not too old, mind you -- the butt can't be sagging -- but the giggly college coed type is a bit of a turnoff. I want something and someone more refined. Plus, the younger girls are more apt to not know what they're doing. Bouncing up and down on me doesn't do it for me. A slow rub up and down, with gradually more pressure as you go (or maybe speeding up a bit) ... much better.

Cool, yeah, basically on the same page then.
If you're not seeking extras, then you probably don't need to tip the bouncer. He'll peek in, but if you're not doing anything you're not supposed to do ... then whatever. I don't think they're aggressively anti-tipper if you don't plan on putting them in a spot where they could theoretically (very theoretically) get in trouble.
But not seeking something above and beyond a high-mileage LD in Detroit is like ... well, to put it in terms you would understand, watching a Dodger game on TV and muting Vin Scully. Or going to the bathroom whenever Yasiel Puig bats.
Given there's usually a pretty decent caliber of women in the better clubs, and it's rare to find one that doesn't have something on the menu that you don't find a lot of other places, yeah, you pay a little more, but you're pretty much guaranteed to get a lot more. Now granted, it seems like COI is starting to do things in a more Detroit kind of way, so maybe that's nothing new to you, or hey, maybe it's even better out there now than Detroit is. We'll have to have someone speak on both at some point.
But yeah ... my subtle recommendation is to prepare to spend, but also prepare to leave satisfied. If you find one girl that does it for you (that can be taken a few different ways), you can escape with a good time for $250, even after all the other trappings. That might even be a high estimate.

Everyplace does it differently, so it's hard to paint with a broad brush.
Interesting twist at one Chicago club that would do an occasional 2-for-1's: It'd be 2-for-1, and it'd be full songs, but they'd play crappy songs. Most of the night, usual dance-pop-rock-rap stuff, but then when they did the 2-for-1, they'd play something goofy, like "Don't Worry, Be Happy" followed by "Mambo #5". It was an interesting strategy, probably based on the idea that you'd be disappointed after the first two songs, so you'd probably buy a third to get a "real" dance from the girl.

I suspect this varies greatly based on club & location.
Did have a kind of "getto" crowd come in to a regular stop of mine last night -- four guys and two girls who had kind of a hoodrat vibe. My CF saw them and gave the house mom $10 to avoid her last stage rotation, knowing they didn't look like they were doing any tipping and were perhaps out to cause some trouble. Sure shootin', while we were talking, an AA dancer and one of the girls got into a shouting match with some pointing. Bouncers stepped in and kept them from getting within four feet of each other, so no fireworks, but yeah.
Perhaps a symptom of the vanishing middle class. The one-percenters are hiding up in the VIP. The middle class is struggling to hang on. And the hoodrats are like, "Screw it, gonna be in debt anyway, goin' to the club."

Papi: You can choose not to tip, but then you're more apt to have him peek in during the middle of whatever it is you're doing. And in Detroit, that "whatever" could very easily be something you don't want him to see and, even though he knows it goes on when he doesn't peek in, might have to stop if he actually sees it happening. Give that tip, however, and his "peek in" could just be walking by and tapping the curtain without actually looking.
It's kind of a gentlemanly courtesy. "You know what's going on. Thanks for letting it happen. Here's a token of appreciation."

I occasionally use Naomi Knight, who features all over but makes her home base in Chicago, as my profile pic. Not exactly an ATF but someone it's occasionally cool to see.
Beyond that, though, I don't feel the need to have lingering photographic evidence of my adventures, nor do I think it's a good idea. Seems better to pick out some slightly more obscure favorites from my younger days of late-night viewing (i.e. Kristi Ducati, Susana Reche, etc.) or actresses/pornstars who have caught my fancy with work seen online.

It's the type of thing I feel a little guilty about, but I'm just not attracted to most African-American women.
The few AA women I'm attracted to are the ones who seem to have faces and features reminiscent of Caucasian women: Tyra Banks, Halle Berry, Mariah Carey (who's a little of everything), etc. I also tend to like my women educated and well-spoken, and I've yet to come across a tremendously educated, well-spoken AA dancer who has the look of the women above.
So yeah. Caucasian first. Asian second. Hispanic third. AA fourth.

rentz2 finally got it right, in my mind.
Upton looks great -- now. But she's also 21 and already on the bigger side. When the metabolism goes down for her, as it does for everyone, look out. She's either going to have to really up the workout regimen and lose the curves to stay in the business or she's going to plump up. Get her now while you have the chance.
Marissa likes sports and has something real exotic about her. Keep her.
I always thought Decker had kind of an odd face, almost into the butterface category. Compared to Upton & Miller ... she loses.

Clubber is spot on.
While, of course, you want to at least test drive the best model, a shiny exterior doesn't always equal stellar performance.
It's not so much that I have to have a 10 as much as she has to meet some minimum requirements: Minimal tats. Passable face. Put together. Personality. And I'll only go lower than a C-cup if she's divine on the pole/stage.
Some nights and some places, I'll want a dance from every girl in the house, with some prioritized higher. Others ... nary a one.

The first time it happened for me, the girl wasn't happy and asked for a bigger tip.
Next time, different club, different girl, she said, "It's natural, and it is kind of the point."
Because I know girls and, subsequently, other guys, would rather not have my mess all over them, I wear a condom if I'm headed to a place where I think it might happen. I have a mantra: Expect great service? Then be a great customer. Dress nice. Smell good. Tip well. Don't do anything to the dancer she won't enjoy -- having it happen is fine, but having it happen on her is inconsiderate if can be avoided. The more considerate you are of her, the more likely she is to be considerate of you and do things to you that you enjoy. Unless she's a ROB.

My experience is that dives are just more hit-and-miss. You're more likely to be assured you'll find a 8-10 girl at a place that isn't a dive. Most dives just don't have as many dancers, or standards, so the odds aren't as good.
On the flip side, there's generally more opportunity at dives. You just need to find the right girl. My favorite "dive girl" has small, floppy tits and won't even show her stomach as the result of C-section scars. But she's short, has great legs, is great on stage, has long, blond hair, her face reminds me of Hayden Panetierre and her menu in the back is wide open. Sunny disposition, too. Big fan.

One thing worth noting: I would hazard to guess that only two out of every five girls I get dances from puts the nipples in that place.
So it's not like we're always in a position to do it, nor is anyone (even the SW crowd) saying that guys are getting into the lapper area, grabbing a girl by the hips, yanking her towards them and suckling like we're a year old and trying to get milk.
But, in two of five, they put them there. I think it's more the case that the SW girls have unreasonable expectations of us -- sit on your hands, let us do whatever we want and only move to breathe, then give us all your money -- rather than us being doofuses. Healthy chance the SW crowd isn't the two of the five, or if they are, they're not the brightest two.
Our point: If you put the nipples there, we'll do what comes naturally. Though I agree with the person above who said I prefer to lightly lick & flick rather than suck. It's my chance to say, "Hey, here's my technique up here, imagine if I can use it down there."

My experience: Every woman is very different. I don't think there's a particular way the nerves are set up down there.
For many, clit stimulation is the be-all and end-all. Some like direct finger-on-clit contact, but it's too much of a sensation for others, who will either prefer you work the hood over the clit rather than the clit itself, or even not really consciously go after it at all.
The G-spot is kind of a mysterious thing. I literally think it's somewhat whether the woman believes in it or not (they do say the second-largest erogenous zone, after the skin, is the brain). It may be its own unique thing, or it may just be the nerves on the "back" of the clitoris, which isn't just the nub on the outside but is actually nerves that can extend well into a woman, up along and around her vaginal cavity. But yet some women don't seem to notice anything if you stimulate the generally accepted G-spot area. It's worth a try to see if a woman likes the stimulation there (do some reading on where & how). If not, then don't keep doing it.
Of course, then it's fun to mix -- some of both. Trying to find the right mix is a great part of the fun, though, in most club settings, unless you've found a way to make bouncers & cameras disappear, the need to be subtle often precludes truly thorough efforts.
Plus, certain women are very into the initial feeling of penetration, as in stimulation around the labia. Some light teasing there can be a good precursor. Others prefer the feeling way in deep, while others don't want you fiddling with their cervix.
Long story short: You've gotta just try a bunch of things. This is where chemistry comes into play. In addition to finding a girl who will let you try (a rarity in many parts), you want a girl who's willing to be honest as to what is/isn't working with her, and you have to have the confidence, knowledge and self-esteem to say, "If I try five different things and none of them work, one of the next five things I try will."

Strictly speaking, no.
However, if you're spending more money and/or time at the club than you are with your SO, I quote from an article I read the other day:
"When an adulterous man is found out, there are many, many women that can get past the sex act itself. But the real problem is where his effort has been going. So yeah. It's not necessarily what you're doing that hurts the SO. It's the fact that you're spending time, money & effort on something other than the SO. In that sense, whether or not it's sex, or a lapdance, dinner with a cute female friend, too much time at your desk at work, or whatever, is kind of immaterial to most women. It's you seeking attention from someone or something other than her.
A woman trying to communicate that might call a lapdance sex or like sex to make a poorly worded point. Just sayin'.

I see what you're saying.
Let me put it this way: I think clubs aspire to be one or the other. The end result is a gradient, but the goal is one thing or the other.
Case in point: Milwaukee has a couple Vegas-style clubs. It's what they aspire to be and, compared to everything else in Wisconsin, they stand apart. Compare those clubs to Chicago's gown clubs, however, and the Milwaukee ones don't appear to have anywhere near the talent, style, aloofness, etc.
It's all relative.

Yeah, for all I've read about girls not liking it when guys do that, a lot of them find a way to put their nipples right up against my lips and leave them there for a while. What do they expect me to do at that point?
Long story short, it depends on the girl. Some don't mind. Others do. Pretty safe to assume the ones that put 'em up to your mouth don't mind.

Generally speaking, no. However, my hands roaming "down there" is generally a good easy to tell what I can and will get away with.
During a dance, I will move my hands down towards that area. If she squirms, changes positions or just out-and-out says not to, then I know the dance isn't going to be real handsy down there. This is pretty common.
Occasionally, a girl will let you play with her clit, at which point, you start to think you've got something. If she likes that and is helping you not get in trouble for doing that, you've got a winner.
I've had girls in the dance area at topless clubs move aside their drawers and let me lick a little. Also have had VIPs in nude clubs where the girl has said "Put your hands on the couch at your sides," then "accidentally" sat on one, allowing access. It's possible, even in clubs where fear of punishment for breaking rules is high. You just have to be subtle and build some trust first.

Also, a little reminder: My experience has been that holiday weekends are holidays for dancers, too, so don't be surprised if your favorite club(s) don't have the kind of talent they usually do. Happy hunting.

My summer side-gig starts up next week, so that will get me out and traveling again. As such, this weekend, it depends: If we have a preliminary meeting for that gig, it'll be in the evening and I'll get out and club tonight or tomorrow. If not ... I will do nothing and it will be everything I ever thought it could be.
