SVB invested a lot of money in long term government bonds paying 2% interest. They were worth something when the inflation rate was 2% but are worthless with a 6% inflation rate. No one wants 2% bonds in such a situation so SVB couldn't go out and borrow money on their assets or find a bigger bank to buy them out.

I have an imaginary stripper. I don't know her name, but she is short with dark hair and a lot of tattoos. Sometimes when a stripper sits down at my table uninvited, I tell them I'm waiting for this stripper that doesn't exist.

A thread risen from the dead. Most strippers put that area of the body off limits. I've only done that one time. It was about 12 years ago at the nude club Little Darlings in Las Vegas, and she encouraged it. The lap dance was done in a little room but it wasn't VIP. I haven't had a similar experience here in Indianapolis. I don't do VIP rooms, which is where it is mostly likely to happen. The closest was a girl at Club Rio telling me in the regular lap dance area I could touch her anywhere, so I touched her between the legs.

It's interesting to hear from Whodey above reporting on what he is seeing in the banking industry. I knew someone in the early part of this century who worked in the mortgage industry for Countrywide and made a very high income doing so. She said she could see a lot of people were getting mortgages who should have been rejected for them and the roof would eventually fall in. She transitioned over to another job outside the mortgage industry that paid less but wasn't engaged in such risky practices. All bubbles eventually burst and that includes the one we've been in during recent years.

I see more larger sized girls in local strip clubs. If that type were popular, then that should result in more lap dances being sold. I don't really see that. There are some males who like full figured females but not enough of them to come into strip clubs and increase lap dance sales.

Fox news in general is not in the Trump camp. Trump has noticed this himself. Anyone who has been paying attention already knows this and shouldn't be surprised if Tucker Carlson has a negative view of Trump.
While I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 and would vote for him again as being better than the Democrat alternative, he was an ineffective president. The national debt increased by eight trillion dollars while he was in office. He supported the low interest rate policy of the Fed that has now led to high inflation. He didn't start any new wars, which is good, but didn't reduce the amount of money going to the military-industrial complex. He pandered to blacks with his Platinum Plan that would have funneled more money to them. He went along with the Covid lockdowns. He bragged about speeding up development of a Covid vaccine that turned out to be ineffective in stopping the disease and caused negative side effects. He is now a little too old to be president. We are seeing right now what happens when you elect someone too old and senile.

I've had several long-time strippers tell me in the past that strip clubs never completely recovered from the 2008 crash. You are not likely to hear that these days since most strippers from that era are now retired from stripping. One commenter here who claimed to have been somehow keeping track said that the total number of strip clubs in the country has dropped by a third from the peak. Those who live in high population growth states like Texas or Florida might doubt that but those are not typical areas of the country. Here in Indianapolis, a fairly typical big city, the total number of strip clubs have dropped by about a third.
There are various factors for the drop. Cities have increasingly used zoning and licensing laws to block new clubs from opening and the lack of competition has led to declining strip club quality. New technology has made it easier to by-pass strip clubs and make arrangements directly with females for sexual activities. New technology has reduced traveling as more business is conducted online and that has resulted in fewer men doing their clubbing while traveling. Tax deductions were eliminated for business entertainment of clients in strip clubs. I've been told by long time strippers that younger people use strip clubs more as a place to hang out now and don't buy lap dances as much. As someone who has made hundreds of strip club visits over the last 12 years, I have seen that with my own eyes. This is helping to reduce strip club profits. The economy is deteriorating and real income, adjusted for inflation, is declining. High crime is driving people away from big cities and the strip clubs in them. There will always be some strip clubs but there are so many factors working against them that the decline will continue.

I always have a couple of nearby strip clubs with regulars. I'll visit a strip club a longer distance away and if I don't see anyone there I like I just stop and visit a regular in a nearby club on the way home.

If you are near there and like going to strip clubs, it's worth stopping at. It's one of the better strip clubs in Indiana. The girls, mostly small-town white girl types, are decent looking and there is a good level of contact on the lap dances. It's also somewhat unique in that it has a combination of characteristics which give it kind of a quirky character. Lap dances are only ten dollars. There are only two kinds of beer: Bud and Bud Light. The stage is along the wall like a theater stage instead of in the center of the room. There is a juke box instead of a DJ. There is no hip-hop music on the juke box. You might hear something like Otis Redding or James Brown, not standard music for a strip club. It has had the same owner for decades and it seems like he doesn't like change.

I had a little Indian stripper I liked named Sonya who I did lap dances with several times. This was in a strip club where on weekend nights you might have fifty strippers and she was at the top of my list to get lap dances from.

I've never seen a vice cop arresting someone or a vice raid in hundreds of strip club trips. Dancers have told me they do sometimes come in. Usually, you can spot them because they are looking around a lot. The dancers seem to worry they'll be caught with their nipples not covered up because that can result in a hefty fine. I've asked a dancer if I look like a vice cop, and she said I look like an artist. I then told her I work in accounting, and she said I don't look like an accountant.

It depends on where you go. In Indianapolis there are a lot of black and, increasingly, Hispanic customers. White guys are declining. The trend accelerated with Covid lockdowns and recent crime increases that caused more middle-class whites to decide to leave big Democrat run cities like Indianapolis.
It's hard to have a discussion on anything having to do with race and strip clubs because of liberal moral posturing and their quickness to label anyone a racist who says something they don't like. No one wants to walk across that minefield. To be honest, I'm surprised you even brought it up. It's been my observation that the supply of black dancers exceeds the demand here in Indianapolis. As you mention, black dancers tend to be less slim. Some of them fall under the "angry black woman" stereotype. White guys steer clear of that type.

Lightfoot still got a plurality of the black vote. Garcia got a plurality of the Hispanic vote and Vallas got a plurality of the white vote. It's an unfortunate trend when people start thinking primarily in terms of race and vote accordingly. It's a little like turning down the prettiest girl in the strip club for lap dances just because she isn't the same race as you.

I notice this was pushed for by a female. A lot of the impetus for adding restrictions or even shutting down strip clubs comes from women who don't want to compete with strippers for male attention. The same thing was true with alcohol prohibition, where women wanted their husbands at home instead of down at the bar spending the household income drinking.

I've found that sitting and staring at a dancer doesn't work as a signal I'm interested in her. They are more likely to come over if I just kind of ignore them. I used to have a cat like that too. If I tried to pet him or play with him, he would run off. If I would ignore him and started watching tv or reading a book he'd be walking around on my lap or poking at me with his paw to get my attention.

Big cities like Chicago usually hurt the states they are in. Illinois is a high tax, low economic growth state which is losing population and that is because all the leftist voters in Chicago are helping to get liberals elected at the state level. Here in Indiana, we are lucky Indianapolis is not big enough for the voters there to tilt elections to the left at the state level. We have good economic growth compared to Illinois and our population is growing. If we had a governor as good as DeSantis, we would be doing even better.

I'm not seeing any polls showing massive support for helping the Ukraine. One recent AP poll showed only about half of the public wants to send weapons. Another poll I saw said that only a quarter of respondents say the U.S should play a major role in the war.
More important than the poll results are the trends. There is a slow erosion of support for this war according to polling. It's easy to whip the public up into a little temporary hysteria but over time rationality asserts itself again. There is always a new Hitler ready to knock over all the dominoes according to the lackeys of the military-industrial complex. They have to convince the public of this. They might take a hit to their profits otherwise. The public is starting to get tired of hearing them crying wolf all the time and is going to start tuning them out.

About half the time the dancer I'm interested in approaches me first and the other half I approach her first. I think some of them feel if the strip club is crowded they don't want to approach and get rejected by a bunch of guys in order to find the one who is interested. I've been going to strip clubs so many years that any form of rejection doesn't bother me. I understand there might be a hundred different reasons she isn't going to end up doing lap dances with me. I actually kind of prefer the club where the girls aren't doing approaches because then I don't have to fend off all the ones that I'm not interested in.

slip a dollar in her g-string for me
There are few reviews for my local strip clubs getting published. I feel like the adjudicators may be too picky and are rejecting too many reviews. Some local clubs go almost a year without getting reviewed and then when they are finally reviewed, I see two or three rejects on it. That leads me to think a number of reviews are not getting published at all. I'd rather have mediocre reviews than no reviews at all.
I'm fine with the way the website is set up, but I can think of a few things to add that would be nice. I'd like to see my past comments together arranged by date. I could see that on the old website but not the new one, at least as far as I can tell. An ability to search your old comments would be nice. In addition to the thumbs up and thumbs down button on comments, a troll button would be nice. Someone I disagree with is not in the same category as a troll. A reply button would also be nice. That way you can directly reply to a previous comment and anyone seeing it knows who you are replying to.

Just because a female has sex with you doesn't necessarily mean she's a slut. You could just be her type. I've had some attractive women show an interest in me while others totally ignore me. Having a type is certainly true for me. I walk into a strip club, look around, and immediately spot two or three girls I'm interested in. Often, they will be girls the other customers are ignoring. Last Friday night I saw a stripper I was really attracted to sit at a table for almost two hours while getting totally ignored. When I approached her, she was quite friendly.
Because of this, I would always move on if a female didn't show an immediate interest in me. Trying to win her over if I wasn't her type never seemed to work.

I found at an earlier age that doing things like buying girls presents, taking them to lunch, running errands for them or listening to their problems didn't help with getting to have sex with them. When I started going to strip clubs in my fifties, I figured giving them extra money when they needed it would fall in that same category of a waste of time. In 12 years of going to strip clubs I've only bought one dancer a present and took her out to dinner. I felt like she treated me just about the same after I did that and never did it again. What actually helps with getting them to treat me better is when they treat me bad cut back on my visits to them. It's the fear of losing a steady income stream that affects their behavior.

Born in NYC, conceived at Woodstock.
For my regulars I make up nicknames for them like "Mike Tyson's meaner little sister" or "Mouse Ears". Either that, or I'll pick some name from decades ago they never heard of that they look like for a name. When I call them Elizabeth Taylor or Veronica Lake they look puzzled. One time I did call a girl Stevie Nicks and she looked pleased. Stevie Nicks is someone she had heard of. More surprisingly, I called a dancer Bettie Page one time and she smiled and knew who that was. I called one dancer Morticia Addams and she said, "I've heard that before".

By the two other 'new' clubs he means Jaguars and Jiggles nearby on Pendleton Pike. These were formerly Harem House and Babes. They were sold and then the names were changed. All three Pendleton Pike clubs have been slowly dropping in dancer quality over the 12 years I've been going to them but the other two have dropped more than this one. I had a bad daytime experience here (see my recent review of this club) and have completely stopped going on days. I still come here on a weekend night about once a month to see a regular who moved over from the Pony. There are about eight decent strip clubs in Indianapolis. I usually rotate around them, visiting a different one every week. There is no standout strip club in Indianapolis which is far above the others.
