A safe bet out

First real visit since mid-covid, and I can say not much has changed. PT's was the best club on this side of town pre-covid, and while it's not gone downhill in my opinion, it hasn't innovated or improved. There are pros and cons to that I'll cover shortly.

I arrived on Thursday afternoon, and stayed well into the evening to see a shift change. PT's has a good location right off of I465 for easy access, though turning into the parking lot can be a pain during rush hour. If doing so, better to go to the next intersection and make a U-turn or turn through a gas station than wait and waste gas. The parking is well lit and feels safe. I was never afraid my car would get broken into or that I'd get mugged. If you get drunk you can take an uber home without worrying about being towed as long as you let the bouncer know and get it the next day. There was a cover charge of five dollars, which may go up if you arrive later. No complaint, cover charges keep out the people they're meant to.

The place is broadly open, with three main stages though only one was used at the time. Each stage had a usual set up of chairs for sitting and tipping, and the rest of the seating was in twos or threes around a small table spaced through out. There is a small bar one could sit at if they want to; I saw at least one dancer sitting on a stool talking with the bartender. Raised above the main floor is a VIP seating area, but even on a packed Saturday night I've never seen anyone pay to use it. The private dance area is mostly booths with a preference for most dances to go as far in as possible. It's pretty dark, so I can't say if there were any cameras or other points of observation. During my night each dance was $25 with a flat $5 fee to the "bouncer" who sat back there watching who came in and out. An annoying price hike, and a change from the previous stamp/wristband system that was a one time fee.
