I'm past retirement age and am still working. I only make about ten thousand dollars a year more working than retiring and collecting my pension. Like a couple previous commenters have said, if you enjoy your work it's not really work. I think of my job as a hobby which I get a little money for doing. Many jobs can be turned into something interesting. I think many successful strippers find some aspect of their job they enjoy. It's not all about the money because I've seen high earners leave the profession while average earners stay. I also think it has a lot to do with your personality. I'm the typical nerdy introvert so I like my computer job. Many strippers are the personality type who are extroverted and like to interact with others. Some like the more unstructured environment of the strip club. One of my favorite regulars got a good paying factory job but came back to stripping because she didn't like being unable to talk to people and having to do the same thing in the same way at the same time every day. Some strippers are lazy and wouldn't like any job, but I think a lot of the unhappy ones just picked the wrong career for their personality type.

Race is only important because if you are nonwhite you can get affirmative action. Because of that, increasing numbers of people are trying to claim they are nonwhite. Four of my favorite strip club regulars were half white and half black. To me they were just cute girls. One was half Jewish and half black. I asked her if she ate at the kosher soul food restaurant, and she laughed.

I'm very risk averse so it would need to be totally legalized for me to consider hiring a prostitute. I buy lap dances because they are legal where I live. The type of people who would be offended by my strip clubbing are people I don't want to socialize with anyway. High fines and jail time is only one of the problems involved here. That would drive it even more underground. There is already a risk you are walking into a setup where you might get robbed and I think that risk would increase if this hobby was driven even more underground. The girls have to worry about being robbed and also raped so they may have it worse than us guys. I'd like to see prostitution legal but kept discreet. I don't want hookers plying their trade on the sidewalk in front of my home.

Probably over a third of clubs have closed here in Indianapolis in the dozen years I've been visiting local clubs. Some are showing here as still open. One was moved from the open category to the closed category when I emailed the owner of this website. It may just be no one has checked out certain clubs and then emailed in they are not still open. The clubs that closed were all the worst clubs. There isn't one that closed where I think how much I miss it.

Soft on crime liberal city governments may ignore what goes on in strip clubs, which should help business. At the same time, though, soft on crime liberal city governments lead to increases in crime, which then drives the middle class out of cities. Middle class males have money to spend in strip clubs, so their absence hurts big city strip clubs. Big city strip clubs become more of a place for ghetto blacks to hang out in and strip clubs increasingly become part of black hip hop culture. This is slowly changing the nature and purpose of strip clubs.

I think I've only run across three Cuban strippers up here in Indianapolis and they didn't stay long. Maybe they got fired for doing extras in a city where letting extras go on will get a strip club in trouble with local law enforcement. They may have to learn what local conditions are before moving into this type of market. Another drawback they may face here is their poor English skills. There are few bilingual speakers this far north and most customers expect to be spoken to in English. When I did lap dances with them, I had trouble communicating to them what I wanted on the lap dance and that I wanted to start at the beginning of a song instead of in the middle.

I've always found it odd that the police will spend time on something like fining strippers for not wearing tape on their nipples here in Indianapolis while we have high levels of murder, rape and robbery. There are limited police resources, and they should be focused in areas where they do the most good.

My former wife smoked so much her teeth had turned brown. I had a chronic cough from her secondhand smoke that disappeared after we got divorced. If you want to lead a healthy lifestyle, it's important to be in a relationship where your partner has good health habits. A lot of strippers have bad health habits but that doesn't affect me very much since I only see them for short time periods in the club. That's one of the advantages of strip clubs, that you don't get sucked into the negative aspects of strippers personal lives.

When I joined the military forty years ago, I took an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. That is what I owe my allegiance to. The Constitution had flaws, noticeably on the slavery issue. However, it led to a good life for the average American. Life expectancy here went from the thirties in 1776 to the seventies two hundred years later. We were lucky to have the revolutionary leaders we had. Around the same time period France had Robespierre and his guillotine. Later on, Russia had Lenin and China had Mao. Currently, we are moving away from the Constitution and as we do that it is leading to poorer and shorter lives and less freedom for Americans.

With regulars you run the risk they will start thinking you like them so much that they don't have to put much effort into making you happy. There's probably a sweet spot where you see them enough to get the best service. My experience is seeing someone every week is too much and seeing someone less than once a month is too little. I go to strip clubs four times a month and see two girls once each and then the other two times see new girls and new clubs for variety. Seeing a girl once a month is enough to get them heading for my table when they spot me.

They get lazy because you are too nice to them, see them too much and spend too much money on them. If I space out my visits a little more, they notice I'm not coming to see them quite as often and the effort to keep me happy goes up a little bit.

When right wingers talk about their state seceding, I don't think in many cases that would work because a lot of red states have at least one big city filled with crazy liberals. You can't get away from them. In Illinois the Chicago leftists not only elect Democrats mayor of Chicago but also help to elect Democrats at the state level. Fortunately, conservative residents of Illinois are voting with their feet and coming here to Indiana and making my state more conservative.

I've never known anyone who made a big jump up in looks. I've known plenty of women, though, who gained a lot of weight and it had a catastrophic effect on their looks.

I normally don't reject reviews, but I did one time where the reviewer repeated the same one sentence over and over again just to make the review longer. Why would anyone even think that would work in getting a review accepted?

This reviewer is correct about the white spinners being common here. This is the club with the largest number of older white customers with money to spend and that is their preferred type. Large obese black strippers are not going to rake in the dough here. Most of the other strip clubs here have more of that type and customers who like that type have multiple options. Indianapolis is too far north to have many Hispanic dancers. We also do not have a large Asian community here to draw dancers from. You will see more ethnic diversity here as the night gets later and the customers get younger.

I never heard of this person. Now that I have, I will promptly forget his name. I'm largely a free speech absolutist. There's a good reason freedom of speech and press were made the first amendment in the Bill of Rights. We should treasure this right, a right that many people in the world don't have. However, while you have a right to free speech, no one is required to give you a platform to speak. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc. can set their own rules on what they allow. Government officials should not be going to any private company and suggesting they censor certain forms of speech. Private companies know the government can harm them with its tax and regulatory policies and take that as an implied threat.

Physical attractiveness is high on my list of what is important. This is followed by friendliness. Friendliness includes letting me touch them anywhere, with the only restrictions being the ones the strip club management and local law enforcement set. In Indiana things like a BJ or actual sexual intercourse are not common in strip clubs. This is something you have to accept if you live in a conservative Bible Belt state. I was born here and have spent 66 years here and can't see myself living anywhere else.

I find ITC to be a good stress reliever when the girls are friendly. This is something that strip clubs should strive for but not all of them do. Some of them have rules to curb overly aggressive strippers such as not allowing the dancers to approach customers until after they have sat down and ordered a drink. I certainly don't want some stripper charging at me as I walk in the door. Some strip clubs also don't allow strippers to be overly aggressive in demanding tips. I think in the long run strip clubs would have better business if they did more of this type of thing. I would like to see all the girls asking if I want company rather than plopping down at my table uninvited. It's even worse when they demand an explanation for why I won't do lap dances with them, followed by an argument because they don't like my explanation. It's really up to club management to keep their girls from being overly aggressive and making the club visit enjoyable for the customers.

A lot of strippers in my local clubs don't stay very long. If I want to do lap dances with them, I have to do it while I have a chance. Sometimes that can have bad results like getting an air dance. If a girl does stay, I'll often see a big improvement the second time I do lap dances with her like a month later.

I never do VIP rooms at all. I think I go to strip clubs more as a way to just get out of the house and go somewhere for a change of scenery. While I'm there, just doing a couple lap dances and chatting with the girl a little is enough. I often hear the lengthy conversations going on between strippers and customers at other tables and usually they don't sound interesting enough that I would want to spend large sums of money in order to do the same. In my local strip clubs, it's a real gamble to buy VIP rooms to get sex.

In the FDA drug approval process you have Type I and Type II errors. Type I is approving a drug that should have been rejected. Type II is rejecting a drug that should have been approved. This applies in other areas, including approving or rejecting reviews and articles here. You might approve worthless articles, but you also might reject worthwhile articles. The voting process is supposed to let through reviews and articles of interest to the majority of members. What it actually does is let through reviews and articles that are of interest to the small subset of members who actually take the time to vote. When I vote, I tend to only reject something if it involves nasty racial or ethnic slurs about the other customers or involves making extremely derogatory remarks about the dancers. If someone is trying to make a living and support themselves, I may not want to buy what they are selling but I admire the effort.

Based on what long time strippers have told me, there has been a shift in the nature of strip clubs. They function more like night clubs with guys just hanging out but not buying lap dances. Part of this is lack of money to spend. Part of it is that strip clubs are increasingly seen as part of black hip hop culture where "making it rain" is a major source of stripper income but overall customer spending is lower than in the past because the strip club is being used more as a night club. The middle-aged white guy customer, often a source of lap dance income in the past, feels out of place in such strip clubs and doesn't come in as often.

Concerning the more general subject of female jealousy and strip clubs, I've seen a lot of this over the years. Women generally want two things from males, a sexually attractive male to have sex with and impregnate them and a male economic provider to help with providing financial support for them and their children. Strippers don't sexually desire most customers but do desire their money and this creates much female jealousy in strip clubs. I've had lots of regulars. Strippers get angry if they think another girl is trying to steal their regulars. The unpopular girls also get angry at the popular ones. There is some bullying going on in strip clubs, but I think the management helps to keep it under control. There have been four or five times I decided I needed to drop a regular. They didn't say anything but gave me unfriendly glares after that. One even made a face and stuck out her tongue at me when she saw me. I hadn't had a girl do that since elementary school and broke out laughing when she did that.

Inflation was still at a 6% annual rate in February. If we measured inflation the same way that we did in the seventies it would be double that. Social Security increases are tied to the official rate so the government underestimates inflation in order to keep the Social Security system solvent a little longer. Social Security recipients will be getting real benefit cuts in the future as benefit increases don't keep up with inflation. The government has abandoned quantitative tightening and gone back to quantitative easing. The Fed is printing money to buy government securities from banks that they had previously unwisely purchased in order to keep the banks from collapsing. This money printing will increase inflation. The Fed is also likely done with rate hikes. Inflation will increase and we will go into a recession. The last time this happened, in the seventies, they came up with a term for this: stagflation.

I work for the military. The military is having a lot of trouble meeting recruiting goals. Not many young men want to possibly fight and die for leaders like the senile Biden and his woke American empire. We should not even be in Syria. We have serious problems at home we need to focus on. We have open borders, a collapsing banking system, soon to be runaway inflation, high crime levels, failing schools, an insolvent Social Security system and a thirty trillion-dollar national debt which is increasing another two trillion dollars every year.
