Current Trends People Will Be Regretting In 20 Years
I think the current belief that most young people should go to college will no longer be held 20 years from now. It's too expensive, too many people end up with debt they can't pay back, and there aren't enough jobs that require a college degree for all the people graduating with one.

Romance Hustle - the stripper long game
I'm 66 so I would never consider any of the dancers to be potentially interested in me sexually. I didn't go to strip clubs when I was younger, but I can imagine if I'd gone to clubs thirty years ago that someone might have convinced me they were when they really weren't. I have developed feelings of affection for a few of the girls over the years, probably more than what they felt for me. It never led to me spending extra money on any of them beyond buying them dinner in a restaurant or a small gift for a birthday.

Goodbye Money
The government increased the money supply by 40% since 2020 in order to come up with the money to pay for all the government over spending. That's why there is inflation. It's not Putin, the pandemic or price gouging. The only solution is for the government to decrease spending, so they can start printing up less money. I'm of the opinion this is not going to happen any time soon. People will have to accept we can't continue doing what we have been doing and they aren't ready for that. For it to finally sink into their brains we will need an economic crash and multiyear depression. The current system will need to be completely discredited, as Marxism was completely discredited in the Soviet Union, before we can make the transition to a better system.

Dump Biden movement
"They need the 30% of voters who are working class to win a national election." The Democrats turned themselves into the party of wealthy white elites at the top and crime prone ghetto blacks at the bottom. Black crime and social dysfunction don't hurt wealthy whites because they have the money to insulate themselves from it by living in expensive suburban enclaves or in the city in buildings with expensive private security. Middle- and working-class whites, Asians (as seen in their support for ousting Chesa Boudin), Hispanics and blacks want escalating crime to be dealt with.

"@doc is his girlfriend a head-turner?" She's not a head-turner but she's more than a decade younger than him and looks good for her age, early fifties. I don't think he picked her solely for her looks and I don't think she picked him solely for his money. They appear to like each other.

I have a wealthy friend who could afford to hire all the hookers he wants but he shows no interest in that. Instead, he just has a girlfriend. He was telling me a couple days ago that he is taking his girlfriend over to London next week. They travel all the time. I think there are a lot of guys like that. I don't think my friend is hiding his sexual activities. I've been in strip clubs with him and he doesn't do anything there except talk to the girls. I actually feel sorry for the strippers because I know they are not going to get any money out of him.

Seattle conditions, desert scrub, and strip clubs?
"For example what was it like in 2008?" I've had long time dancers tell me that business dropped in 2008 and never fully recovered. I didn't start going to strip clubs until 2010 so I missed out on their best days. Here in Indianapolis for the last 12 years there has been a long slow decline with one of the local clubs going out of business every couple of years so that we now only have about two thirds as many clubs as previously. Seeing the shrinking number of clubs, the other remaining clubs didn't lower their prices or give better service to try to avoid the same fate. I expect recent trends will just continue.

I'm old enough to remember when conservatives would point to cities like Detroit as examples of the failure of liberal policies and liberals would respond by pointing out how liberal run cities like Seattle, Portland or San Francisco were pleasant places to live. The quality of life in these cities is now deteriorating. It just took longer for liberals to ruin these cities. This is possibly because they never had large black populations, which are especially prone to take advantage of lax crime policies and readily available welfare benefits. The exodus of middle-class Republicans has now turned formerly Republican Indianapolis, where I live, into a Democrat bastion and it's having negative effects on local strip clubs. Crime is increasing, along with homelessness, and this is driving even more of the middle class out of the city. They are reluctant to make the longer drive from the outer suburbs into what are now increasingly dangerous areas to visit a strip club and that is hurting local club business.

Lapdances overpriced?
If you go to a strip club and the girls are sitting around all night not selling lap dances and the lap dance area is empty, usually then they are overpriced. In a period of economic distress like the one we are entering, though, dropping prices might not work. People stop buying luxuries and just buy necessities. Some strippers will need to move into jobs where they are providing goods or services everyone needs.

Blondes or Redheads
Latinas with long black hair are at the top of my list along with Asian or Native American girls with long black hair. Blondes are my least favorite. They are aware of the dumb blonde Marilyn Monroe stereotype and try too hard to avoid it and end up acting a little too mean, condescending, or arrogant.

Things are going so badly for Biden and the Democrats. I think this will eventually completely discredit them and their philosophy of big government and centralized planning in the eyes of the voters and we will adopt a smaller government and more decentralized decision making. The Democrats will try to say the problem is just not the right people are running things and make Biden the scapegoat but it's really a policy problem, not a personnel problem, and the voters know that.

Verified and Certifiable Super-Reviewer
Channeling resentment towards dancers
"At tiddie bars I can talk to chicks with zero pressure and just hang around." Some strip clubs can be quite high-pressure environments, but I agree with you about going to them for the additional reason of being a little bored and just wanting to get out of the house. This, combined with that desire to stay free of relationships and to spend time with women I normally couldn't get due to my advanced age, is enough to justify going to them. Customers getting angry at strippers is often a subtle form of intimidation being done to try to manipulate them into doing something they don't want to do. There is always the implied possibility of anger escalating into violence. I never use anger to try to get someone to do something. In a strip club I use friendliness and money and if that doesn't work on a girl then I try another girl.

The truth hurts, but if you accept it, it will set you free
Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice.
The view of the founders of this country was that rights precede government. These included the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". The purpose of government was to protect these rights and if a government did not do so it lost its justification for existence and could be overthrown. The opposite of this is the belief that government precedes rights. Government can grant or take away rights. The justification for government is that it expresses the will of the majority. This even includes taking away the right to life or liberty of an individual if the majority wants that. It also includes the government giving people rights such as a right to education, health care or a certain income level. Since government has no wealth of its own, this means forcibly taking away the wealth of one person to give to another. The founders were not consistent in the application of their philosophy of rights and the purpose of government, for example on the slavery issue. However, their philosophy of the government protecting freedom and individual rights was applied here more than any other country previously in history. The result was that the U.S. became the wealthiest country in history. We started our economic decline when we moved away from that and adopted the second view of rights and the purpose of and justification for government.

Voters aren't buying the attempt to shift the blame by Biden and the Democrats for the high inflation levels and even massive vote fraud isn't going to stop a blowout in the upcoming election. Biden says the high inflation is caused by greedy corporations. Does this mean when inflation was lower we had ungreedy corporations and they suddenly became greedy? If you look at corporate profit margins they are about the same. Overall profits are up because consumers have been buying more. They have been buying more because the government has been printing up money and giving it to them. The money supply increased by 40% between 2020 and now. So the government is responsible for the big corporate profits, not corporate greed. In addition to this, the money printing has now led to increasing inflation.

Why young people, especially men, are having less sex
I'm 66. I've seen society become increasingly anti-male over my life. Many young men have decided to check out and no longer do what they did formerly. This was find a girl and marry her plus pursue a career which would make them more attractive to women as potential male providers. This is not a case of male arrested development. This is a rational response to societal changes. Average men have decided the ROI, return on investment, is not good enough to invest the time and effort in chasing after women and have left the dating market.

Seats by the stage
The reason there are empty seats at the tip rail is often because most customers who don't want to tip don't sit there since they know there is an expectation that anyone sitting there should tip. If it became the norm that a customer can sit there without tipping, the stage would often be surrounded by non-tipping customers. This would drop stripper income. Some customers, like myself, also use their stage appearance to ask for lap dances and all the stage seats being taken by non-tipping customers makes that a little more difficult. In a situation like that I sometimes have to try to chase them down after they get off stage and are headed back to the dressing room since I couldn't get to them on stage. If you are a strip club manager, you need to be thinking of the best ways to make it easy to spend money in your club. You need to make sure the girls are accessible to the spending customers and the spending customers are not blocked by the non-spending customers.

So Texas feels like seceding (again!)
I would just be for returning to the idea that the Constitution is a list of what the federal government is allowed to do and everything else, as the tenth amendment says, is left to the states. Dealing with crime isn't listed in the Constitution as a federal responsibility. Each state could decide things like whether getting an abortion, smoking marijuana, engaging in commercial sex work and so on would be a crime or not. People could move to the states that reflect their values. If you have everything decided at the federal level and you don't like what they do you have to completely leave the country, something not as easy as moving to another state.

It's not just Fauci and other government bureaucrats getting money from the vaccine companies. Biden received political donations from the vaccine companies before the last election and the mainstream media gets a lot of advertising dollars from the vaccine companies. You can't depend on the government or the mainstream media to provide objective information about the safety or effectiveness of the vaccines. People need to be able to hear the other side and that other side should not be accused of "misinformation" and silenced.

Are most strippers actually “hustling” and finessing?
"Doc savage what myers briggs type is good for stripping? Also what do you think of the INTJ personality type?" I think one of the more extroverted types is better at it. Introverted types would enjoy the constant social interaction less. Women are predominantly of the feeling rather than thinking type and I think that would be true of strippers. The thinking type of female would be attracted to what are traditionally male careers. I've talked to lots of girls in clubs. The most common future career they consider going into is nursing, a career that normally attracts extroverted feeling types the most. I am an ISTJ working in accounting. I've only run into one stripper going to college to be an accountant. She told me she was bad at stripping and then laughed. We had a long conversation about the various business aspects of strip clubs like pricing levels or best hours to be open. Most strippers are not as interested in that as she was. They are interested in their income but not how strip clubs are run to maximize investor profits. It was actually the longest conversation with a stripper I ever had. The female accounting people I work with don't seem very much like strippers at all. I've always been attracted to opposites when it comes to women. Strippers seem very opposite of me but rather than me being repelled by that I'm attracted by it. As for an INTJ, that is the most uncommon personality type. I'm actually on the borderline between ISTJ and INTJ. They are original thinkers who are good at creating things. This could be a new scientific invention or artistic creation. Politically, the NT types are more libertarian. I've seen Ayn Rand classified as an INTJ and also Thomas Jefferson. Being on the border between INTJ and ISTJ, I'm kind of libertarian like many INTJ types but also have a conservative traditionalist streak like many ISTJ types.

Most successful strippers seem to have a certain personality type. This is true for most careers. We were given the Myers-Briggs personality test at work once. Out of 16 possible personality types, most of the accounting people were all the same type. This included me. I had a female friend in the office who had a completely different personality type. She hated the job, got bad job ratings and ended up getting fired. I think girls with a certain personality type like stripping. If you like something, you'll make an effort to succeed at it. In my experience, someone making as little effort as possible is usually someone who doesn't like stripping because they don't have the right personality for it.

I've been wondering if tattoos will ever go back out of fashion. I was watching an old 1994 movie called "Love and a .45" last night. A male character got a tattoo and when a female character, played by Renee Zellweger, saw him her response was "you look like a real loser with that tattoo". I can't imagine those words being uttered in a movie today since tattoos have become so normalized. Will tattoos ever go back to being something that only low-class losers have, as was the case in the past?

The Boundaries Hoax
People doing more for more money happens all the time. For example, I took a promotion at work that required doing more in exchange for more money. I wouldn't consider it an attempt at manipulation for my employer to offer me more money to do more and I wouldn't consider it rob tactics for me not to do more until I was offered more money. I don't understand this whole idea that something immoral is going on in these types of situations. I think this may be an attempt to equate actions that actually are immoral, using force or fraud, with voluntary exchanges that are not immoral.

T V Shows You Miss
"Two old television shows that ran for one season only; has anyone seen The Prisoner or Men Behaving badly." The Prisoner was great.
