Can't say I follow British politics but it'll be interesting to see who takes power:

Mark Steyn had a good take on BoJo. He was very talented at gaining power but had no guiding principles or firmly held beliefs. He is a narcissist who only cared about his own station in life.

    Don't you mean Donald Trump?

Johnson was elected as a conservative but governed as a liberal, increasing taxes and the size of government. Liberalism doesn't work, either on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean or here. BoJo will be followed by Slow Joe and Trudeau.

Discussing with a British friend. She said the parallels between Donald and Boris are much stronger than Americans realize. His goal was to get in power, not necessarily because he wanted to do that job. then all he wanted to do was stay in power.

Can’t really comment about BoJo I’m not real familiar with British Politics, but I’m guessing that the Ukrainians are concerned, England as a non- EU member was better positioned to aid the Ukrainian War efforts as they only needed to approve it themselves not waiting for the EU consensus on how to act

BoJo resigned as head of the Conservative Party, not as Prime Minister. Under the British constitution, it will be nearly impossible to remove him as PM if he doesn’t want to go.

As far as Trump vs BoJo, their personalities are similar but Trump got in trouble with the left by trying to change things too much while BoJo got in trouble with Conservatives by doing nothing,

    “Don't you mean Donald Trump?“

Every President is a narcissist who seeks power. However, some of them also want to use that power to move the direction of the country.

Am I the only one who thinks his name would be perfect for a Russian porn star?

Good riddance. He was bidens lap dog. I think his push for ww3 had a lot to do with his resignation.

    “what happens now?“

The fastest way to get him out of office is for Parliament to vote “ no confidence”, then the Queen declare a snap election. The process would take months and would likely cause the Conservatives to be forced into a power sharing arrangement. It could result in Britain rejoining the EU. Or, Scotland orNorthern Ireland leaving the UK. It’s a mess. BoJo fucked his party.

"Under the British constitution, it will be nearly impossible to remove him as PM"

Can't the Queen just order him to the gallows?

Thank fuck he’s resigned. I hope his successor is appointed earlier than the process usually takes with the Conservative Party.

I've liked how Johnson responded to the Ukraine Crisis, but I've always known that that was just for show. Glad to see him ousted.

@25. Most people are glad to see the back of him, he was always lying, doing things he shouldn’t have, having a selective memory etc. He got Brexit done and could have been a great PM, the problem was he didn’t appoint the right people to his cabinet, it was mostly full of people he knew wouldn’t give him grief. He doesn’t stand up for Conservative values such as low taxation and smaller government. I thought he’d be a good PM but he’s just a knobhead.

In other words a British version of Donald Trump, a real zero

I was actually proud of the Brits for Brexit. It was a gutsy move, but absolutely the right thing to do.

Boris, the British "conservative", behaved like an American liberal. Simply put: Rules for thee, but not for me. Also like an American liberal, he surrounded himself with hangers-on and sycophants who all prioritized their personal self-serving agendas over governance for the public good.

If that's a British conservative, your liberals must be bloody fucking awful!

Seems like they put Johnson in just to do Brexit. Now that that is done.

I would like to see the UK rejoin the EU, and also end their monarchy.

I've heard the British conservative party is planning to invoke some obscure procedure and name Trump as their next PM - the E.U. is gonna need to watch the fuck out - just sayin'

I was hoping he would last 3 more weeks.

Wife and I were on vacation in the Dominican Republic during Brexit. The only 2 TV channels in English were BBC and Hustler. She was so bored by BBC she changed it to Hustler and hijinks ensued.

We were back in the Caribbean when Boris Johnson was elected. This time there were more channels in English, but 2 channels of free porn. She changed it to TEN this time. Hustler was anal milfs and TEN was something with some semblance of a story featuring a auto-body shop. Got the job done.

We are headed back in 18 days. I'm going to have to figure out how to keep the tradition alive without a major event in the dismantling of British imperialism.

I’m surprised that the British citizens don’t elect the prime minister.

I don’t follow politics across the pond.

Interesting hairstyle. If Boris had a spray tan, it would be interesting to see him and Trump together.
