That is a very good question. One dancer who I talk to a lot was introduced to drugs as a 13 year old and ended up with a coke habit after she started stripping at 18. She's 28 now and still stripping, but now she's drug free. Doesn't even smoke cigarettes.
I've watched others come into the club as a fresh faced 18 year old and end up drugged out in 6 months.

Hmm. Well, there was the time I drastically overestimated a dancer's attractiveness and ended up being humped by a skanky overweight old wildebeest for a half hour. And paying for it, no less.
Went to a club on Friday and was pounced on by a drugged up dirty looking dancer. She snatched the beer from my hand and took a swig. I didn't finish the beer. Gross.

I've been told that this guy does set a quota for how much money she has to make every shift. The weird thing is the girl truly seems to love the guy.
I think it's because I'm old enough to be her dad, but I don't have a romantic jealousy here. It's more a fatherly protector thing.
Surely this guy has her brainwashed. I'll bet he tells her she's stupid, and that nobody else wants her. He's probably keeping her away from friends and controlling her access to family members. The guy is good at what he does. He's just a dirtbag.

Didn't mean to post incomplete. Let me elaborate. I would be fine if a club played only rock and country. I'm not going there for the music, after all. The girls aren't really DANCING at this place, they're just gyrating on stage. And they could easily do that to Kings of Leon.

DandyDan----it has a DJ. I think he's catering to what the dancers like. It's not that I "stick out", it's that I've witnessed violent acts in the past @ this club. Nothing good can come from a bunch of gangstas in a club.
lopaw--- not really in a seedy area. Just typical commercial area on US19 in Hudson, FL.
I really think the way to keep them out is music selection. Well, and higher cover charge. But the music thing is worth trying.

Radiohead are the best musicians I've ever seen. Watching them on the "In Rainbows" tour was mind-blowing. For them to create the complex music they did LIVE was amazing. The five of them all play multiple instruments, sometimes playing multiple instruments in the same song. Jonny Greenwood is especially good at this.<br />

I went to Brass Flamingo(NPR, Florida) on a Sunday afternoon and experienced the same "no dancer on stage" thing. It was weird. Granted, there weren't a lot of girls working, but I noticed girls drinking at the bar while the stage was empty. A couple of guys sat next to me and left after the third song went by with no dancer.
If girls are in the club and NOT doing lapdances, they should be on stage, whether guys are tipping or not. That's what the club is in business to do.

The dentist in Florida was a fucking nutjob who intentionally injected his patients with HIV tainted blood.
