Strip Clubs vs. other hobbies

Thursday, September 24, 2009 5:46 PM
Just wondering how you rate "clubbing" versus your other hobbies or interests. When I was semi-serious about golf, I spent a ton of time and money (green fees, equipment, lessons, travel, etc.). I think it's safe to say I've had more fun in SCs than I ever did on a golf course. “Engaging in a hobby can lead to acquiring substantial skill, knowledge and experience. However, personal fulfillment is the aim.”

I also watch college football. My favorite places to watch are strip joints with HiDef.

Love to travel, go to rock and country concerts, NFL and college football. Often those things require some time away from home. And that facilitates my other hobby: clubs. I'm painfully aware that the line between hobby and addiction is hard to see. I've looked for it a few times--and it was very close to where I was standing :) .

My hobbies are hiking and cycling. My entertainment is strip clubs and the theater.

My other hobbies are AMP's and streetwalkers with an occasional foray into escorts. I consider them all to be somewhat related somehow.

I used to play golf as well, but I never got better at it and virtually gave it up. It didn't help that my brother got all the athletic talent in the family. I only go for the annual work golf outing anymore. I was also into bicycling, but the way my job works, I'm just too tired to do that anymore. Most of my time anymore that's not in the strip club is either in regular bars, online, or sometimes the local Borders bookstore reading something I haven't read yet.

I found I was more relaxed and happy after leaving strip clubs than after golfing. I learned that a long time ago. I don't know many golfers who are really happy with their game. They are always worried about improving something. I don't consider that fun. And in strip clubs you dont have the pressure of other customer wanting to play through, so-to-speak. Once you're on the course, it's yours to finish in you're own time unless you let your partne3r go looking for other balls. Strip clubbing can be more expensive than other hobbies or less. Like enythning else, it depends on how seriously you participate. So I rate clubbing very high relative to my other options. The challenge is to keep it in proper perspective.

Samsumg, what I meant about perspective is what you meant. Sometimes it can be like an addiction!

it does not surprise me to see so many people with golf hobbies. Several SCs offer annual golf outings. Before internet gambling sucked, online poker was a hobby. Also porn was more of a hobby for me before my SC hobby. Today I rarely buy porn, I mostly just download it to save money for SCs.

Otto22, From what I've read on here, "...cut or scuffed balls" may happen if you run into the dancer that grinds very hard.

I too have reduced my golfing in exchange for SC visits. Both were fun but now I seldom have to deal with cut or scuffed balls. Staffs are always stiff and the putter stands up on its own. No rainchecks needed and sundown can be the start rather than the finish of an outing.

My Harley and it's expenses take up most of my "play money". Of course, since I retired, I didn't have as much "play money" anyway. Then I lost a ton out of my retirement fund, ergo, no clubs lately.

Photography and home darkroom can get expensive. Film, chemicals, paper, enlargers, heating drums, tripods, lenses and more gadgets than you can carry. Digital photography saved the day. More money for clubbing.

I like bicycling. Getting my bikes set up was expensive, and there is always another cool old bike on eBay. Still, I think I have way more invested in my strip club hobby over the years.

Golfing sucked. I had to drive home right by a strip joint. So every time I golfed, and dropped huge scratch to chase a little white ball over hill and dale, I had to take my sun-burnt, sweaty body into the strip club to have several cold brews to calm down and return to reality. Double-dip on the expenses. Fix? Drop one of the hobbies. Easy call.

Dudester, I can appreciate that. I have a close friend that is in charge of restoration at the Pensacola Navel Air Museum.I have been with him on trips to find parts.Unfortunately he is not into strip clubbing.

Before I became a Supervisor at work, my primary hobby was restoring antique fire engines-an example of my work: Before: [view link] After: [view link] Like strip clubbing, it's an expensive hobby. You spend 1k to 5k to get an old fire truck, then anywhere from 10k to 25k to restore it. The difference between the two is that one gives you an item that lasts forever.

My other hobby is raising tropical fish. I have 2 aquariums. When I make my monthly 3 day trips to Columbia SC and my favorite club, they go hungry.I guess you can tell where my priorities are.
