sorry about the font guys, but what pop says is true. You can change your font in most browsers. In IE7, it's in the bottom right corner.
The format change was made because I need to get more screen area for some really neat features which are coming soon.

There was a bug in the system that only let VIP members send PMs. It's been fixed. All you need is a registered nickname and you can send pms.

The way we calculate ratings, it is difficult to stuff the ballot box. All of one user's ratings are added together and taken as one average score, therefore, if you rate it a 1, and someone else rates it a 10 multiple times, the rating would average to 5.5
((1 (your avg)+10 (his avg) ) / 2 reviewers)

We have had reports of this before. I think that it is because we are on a shared webhost, and because there are multiple websites running on this IP address, perhaps that has something to do with it. Regardless, we run a straight up site here. You get what you pay for.

If you suspect a review is fake, please send us a message with the pertinent info.. club name, city, member nickname, and why you think it's fake. we will review it.

This is the second time we have listed this club. The first time the owner tried to shill the ratings up. Now at least the reviews are from different members. Some of the reviewers have been long standing members too.

yndy, you can write a review for different clubs in a 4 week period and get credit, just not the same club.

what they say is true... You can post as many reviews as you want, it's only 4 week waiting period to get VIP credit.

we use our discretion when 2 reviews are submitted like this. In this case it needed to be 2 reviews because of the major difference in ratings.
And there is no rule against submitting multiple reviews for the same club. You just only get 4 weeks VIP credit for one every 6 weeks.

FONDL, if you ever see suspicious reviews, please notify us ASAP. We don't take those things lightly. We have deleted reviews and user accounts with NO WARNING when it is an obvious attempt to sway ratings.

shadowcat is right in how the algorithm works.
as for club owners reviewing their own clubs, there may be a few in here, but for the most part you can tell who they are.
for the most part, the new home page is simply a way of moving a bunch of redundant text off the main page. just bookmark the main index page instead of the home page, and you will never have to see it again.
