Why was specific club discussion retooled?

I remember, in a previous rendition of tuscl, there being a section that held current club discussions. Why was that feature changed?

You'll have to hope for an answer from the founder on that one. I'm not quite sure why it was changed myself.

Neither am I but it pretty much destroyed the local club boards along with most of my interest in this site.

I don't understand what the problem is. It now allows threading of topics for a club, and you can ignore certain members.

I personally like the retooling, but if I remember right the old club discussion area used to be more like the recent reviews area, in that you could see discussion on all clubs, not just the club you had selected. Perhaps the thinking is that it's more cumbersome to see chat about other clubs because you have to check them individually?

Like I said, I think that change is for the better, but it doesn't appear anyone is using it - I've posted a few topics on specific clubs, and there's been absolutely no activity on it.

I never saw anybody using it before the change, either, so I don't see what's been destroyed. Founder may have figured there wasn't much to lose by trying a retooling to see if it helped spark an interest.

I should have added that I never saw it used for clubs I was interested in chatting about.

It is the least used feature of TUSCL.

Thank you all for the clarification. DougS - I miss the collective discussion summary, which allowed me to decide if I wanted to look in to the specific discussion. I have no doubt that it was the least used portion, but I do miss the Providence trash talkin'!

to founder and others: I wish it was a feature more widely used. I really haven't found a forum for honest, intelligent discussions of specific clubs. This Board is general in nature and stripclublist.com is full of bullshit....I've said if before on here, I'm not sure why there isn't more interest in a forum to discuss reviews and other information about specific clubs without all the put-downs and trash talkin' garbage on SCL.
