I was at a strip club one night when the clocks changed and they did not stay open the extra hour. I heard it changes over at 3am.

Even clubs with high cover charges will have the broke ass losers who are boyfriends and friends of the dancers who get in for free with their connections. Not to mention the drug dealers get in for free too - they are treated as celebrities by the dancers and staff. Basically if you want to avoid going to clubs with shady characters go to clubs in the nicer parts of town. My concern with valet parking is the fact that I am trusting my car to some punk who doesn't take responsibility for any of the damages.

I do know some clubs pre authorize a certain amount like $50 so if you try to buy a $5 drink with a $25 visa gift card it might get rejected. Also those prepaid Visa cards get rejected by some porn sites but others accept them and you can fill it whatever for the name/address. I know one kind also requires you to register the card on their website before letting you use it at the gas pump or online. Maybe if you had the card registered you could have told her to call visa to verify it belongs to you.

carl95, good point about there being some value in Ohio. Akron/Canton area clubs have $5 table dances that can give you a decent grind. However, none of those value clubs are from Columbus!

I think it is because they are government and supported by tax money.

I know a club in Columbus called Sirens that opens at 11am 7 days a week and on Thurs-Sat they stay open till 5am. Nearly a 24/7 club on the weekends. Also if there is a customer buying dances/VIP then they stay open even later than that.

Most clubs in Columbus are 21. Some allow 18 but they have to pay an inflated cover charge. I think at one club it is $8 for 21+ (or a free pass) but for 18 it is $25 cover charge and no free passes are allowed.

Detroit is not perfect but it's my favorite. I dislike the $7 mandatory valet, $8 drinks, and $10-15 cover charges. No full nudity on stage and no $5-10 lappers like Atlanta and Akron/canton ohio.
