    Detroit Assistance
Some of the clubs in the suburbs (near the airport or in Dearborn or south of the metro area) still have private VIP areas and offer decent value entertainment. A few suggestions, broken roughly into three tiers: Top tier club: Flight Club: Medium tier clubs: Landing Strip BTs Dearborn Subis Cricket Hustler Lower tier clubs: Bogarts Henry VIII, North and South

Unintended consequences? There was a time when I used to avoid travel to or through Detroit. But then I discovered the merits of the Detroit strip club scene (with help from TUSCL among other sources) and started going out of my way to schedule meetings and other activities that took me to Detroit. If many others follow my pattern, this effort will have some unintended economic consequences for Detroit (business bankruptcy, conference and convention attendance declines, less travel and less tax revenue). I'd like to think that our political leaders had considered these factors, or at least had the foresight to track the economic impact of these efforts to regulate the strip clubs--- I know better than to give our political (and moral) leaders that much credit. One other unintended consequence is that it will drive some of the dancers to other, less safe venues to ply their trade (as in the streets, escort sites, etc.).

OTC has its merits but it also has this downfall--- if you don't "click" with your OTC date (or she is much less attractive than you expected from her modeling photos), you're kind of stuck. With ITC, if you don't click with your ITC date, you can always cut your losses and go back to browse the club looking for a better match. In the situation you described, you might be been better off to stay in the club.

I agree. No dancer names but I do recommend an exception to that rule if you encounter a ROB.

    Advice for waitress dances?
With regards to flirting, there is much to recommend being personable, maybe even tactfully flirtatious, with a dancer or a waitress. This is a business where the dancer is not required to approach a particular customer. Nor is she required to offer everyone a dance and is certainly not required to accept a request for a dance or extras from a specific customer. Sure dancers are there to make money but they still have some choice regarding who to dance for. For many dancers, that choice makes strip clubs much more tolerable and safer than being an escort. The same goes for a waitress even if she is typically assigned to wait on specific tables. If you are personable and charming, you'll have a much better chance of getting her to accept your offer for a private dance. That said, you can still be pretty direct with the waitresses. I've had good luck with compliments and tactful but direct inquiries. I've also had better luck when the club was not too busy. After all you are asking the club to pull a waitress off the floor and it helps if they are adequately staffed for the customers in the club. That said, I had one situation where I had to pay something like $20 to get the manager to allow the waitress to take a break from her duties and provide me a private dance. But ii was worth it. This woman was beautiful and sexy. She was relatively new to the strip club business and had privately contemplated dancing. Turned out that she was not shy in the VIP and I left as a happy customer.

For those of you getting "extras"at clubs..
Metro Detroit is pretty simple. A small VIP access charge to the club, typically 10-20 dollars (but more in a few clubs) and a fee that is negotiated with the dancer. Dancer fees depend on the club, the dancer, the services negotiated and especially the negotiating skill of the customer. That said, it is not unusual to go home happy for $200 or less. Often times the dancer pays a per song fee to the club out of her take.

What are your clubbing "accomplishments" for this year and goals for next year?
MrDeuce has been a busy man and has some disposable income! Well played! Accomplishments this year, all ITC: extras with 12 different dancers, mostly BBBJs and CFS. On rare occasion, covered Greek. Good to have some goals. Mine: 1. convert a particular dancer at one of the clubs that I visit to an ITC extras girl. This is a goal nearly every year, but with a rotating list of dancers. Sometimes I'm successful, mostly not. But that's the nature of goals.

Are petite women typically tighter than larger women? Maybe that’s why I prefer spinners.

    "I'm a Feminist, But I'm Also A Victoria's Secret Model Too"
I agree with lopaw and wave 2 feminism (see eyeofodin). I think of feminism as being defined by equal rights, equal responsibilities and equal wages (for equal work). It is a civil libertarian model extended equally to both men and women. Here's one test--- should a man have the right to make a living in whatever manner he want, even if it uses his body and physical characteristics. Surely he can be an athlete, or a laborer, both of which take advantage of a man's physical characteristics or capabilities. How about a male model or a male stripper or gigolo? With this model of feminism, I don't see anything inconsistent about espousing equal rights and responsibilities across the sexes and still making a living as a model, stripper or even as a sex worker.

Black club VIP vs Mixed club VIP.
I prefer a VIP session based on time to a session based on the number of songs. For some songs, it can be difficult to tell when one song ends and another begins. Also some clubs truncate the songs at 2.5 or 3 minutes, thus the number of songs adds up quickly. In many of the metro Detroit clubs, there is no obvious song count or timing --- just an agreement for services.

    Sexual Harassment Waivers
The rush to judgment without any due process or verification of accuracy of the accusations is very troubling. It could end up discrediting what is otherwise a long overdue accountability for unacceptable abusive and coercive behavior. Think what will happen if (and when) some of these allegations are revealed to be spurious and self-serving. Will it cast a shadow over all of the other accusations and the accusers? "Trust but verify" and "due process" principles need to be inserted into this movement. Also, there is some need for nuance-- telling an off color joke or propositioning a female coworker (once and politely) is not equivalent to a pattern of harrassment and physical or power based coercion of a sexual nature.

Could all of this inappropriate touching work it's way into strip clubs?
It would certainly dampen my enthusiasm for strip clubs if we get to a stage where we have to ask the dancers to sign a legally binding form that gives their consent to be touched during a lap dance.
