There have been times at Follies where I get so worked up from the floor dances that by the time I decide to go to VIP I'm like the old commercial with the owl:

Most of the time, though, I don't want to have to worry about counting songs, and just prefer the fixed amount of time. I just set my phone somewhere I can keep an eye on time.

Fixed amount of time makes great sense, as does front room fraternizing, and the best of that is you picking the girl and letting a front room makeout session develop.

Won't have problems in the back rooms when done that way.

There are clubs, whether mixed or black, that dances are one price on the floor, and another price in VIP (e.g. from what I've read HiLiter in Phoenix comes to mind).

In the black clubs I've hit (Atlanta and Miami) where I've done VIP, I have gone by block-payment every time except once that I went by song-count - $10/dance in VIP is the black clubs is sort of the "default" but not necessarily the norm - I've done VIP on more than one occasion at both Babes and Blaze in ATL and it was always a block-payment vs a per-song payment (and that would be either for VIP dances or extras - i.e. you can tell the dancer let's do 30-minutes of dances for $X or let's do extras for $Y, for 30-minutes irrespecive of songs) - done the same at the Miami black clubs and IME one gets the room for 30-minutes although more often than not they don't come back to check on you since IME the VIP rooms are not used that often so it's not as if there are people waiting for them - only once at Blaze did I have someone tell me my time was up, in the Miami spots I at times have stayed closed to an hour w/o anyone bothering me.

In the black clubs I hit I pretty-much always do a block-payment b/c dances are hard enough to keep track off on the floor let alone in the out of the way VIP room where my mind is usually much more "distracted"

I prefer a VIP session based on time to a session based on the number of songs.

For some songs, it can be difficult to tell when one song ends and another begins. Also some clubs truncate the songs at 2.5 or 3 minutes, thus the number of songs adds up quickly.

In many of the metro Detroit clubs, there is no obvious song count or timing --- just an agreement for services.

One thing I find interesting is that the strip club is a perfect working model of how capitalism, business, and the free marketplace works. There's that fine line between being profitable without alienating their customers. They have to consider whether it's better to provide value added services for a premium price or if it makes more sense to make their services affordable while making up the difference in volume. And it's also an active learning curve for the dancers. As mentioned above, some of them just want to get as much money out of you as they can for the least amount of time spent while others do a better job of selling themselves so they steadily have repeat business.So the dancers have to consider whether it's better "juice" someone who they may never see again or if they do better investing the time and patience that it takes to win a regular paying customer.

Yea I think Im a change my SC strategy. Instead of paying for songs, I will pay for time. I will only do this with dancers that I know will deliver (extras,etc.. ). Keep some money just in case I want to test drive a dancer for one or 2 songs.

I’ve stayed away from vip and it’s associated fees for a few years now. When I did vip - it was usually the time - and it was ok.

I’m indifferent to the options. In my view - when I get to vip - I want to relax and not count dances. So the time option might be preferable.
