Banning sex ads

mark94
Arizona
A measure making prostitution advertising a federal crime passed the House Judiciary Committee this morning.

"This legislation is about more than just Backpage.com," said bill sponsor Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Missouri), promising that the changes would "wreak havoc" on "hundreds of websites."

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Virginia) crowed that the bill "empowers prosecutors with new tools" to hold human traffickers accountable.

They wanna paint a picture that sex for $$$ and human trafficking is a 1:1 correlation - I guess next they'll go after the porn industry since that is also sex for $$$ so those women must be being trafficked

As usual the dipshits that run this country are making a big deal out of nothing and trying to impose their minority held views on all the rest of us instead of addressing the main problems facing this country: declining wages (in real terms), mounting debt on both the federal, state and local level, crumbling infrastructure, a "war against terror" with no victory in sight, rising social tensions, etc etc. Hey what happened to the legal theory of consenting adults??

The article goes on to say that the provision this bill modifies is the legislative foundation for internet freedom. Once you start putting limits on free speech, where does it stop ? Ban politically incorrect speech ? Porn ?

Kind of funny that this is the issue that makes people cry about free speech when colleges have banned it for years. I would love to see the sex industry wiped out completely. Not just because I have a wife, we swing and I am 60, just because......

It takes very little to sponsor a bill in the US Congress. She has to get support from a huge number of guys in the House, then get the US Senate to vote for her Bill.

Don't worry, guys, it won't become law.

Yet another reason for me to give money to the ACLU and not to either of our major political parties.

That shouldn’t get passed. Just a few thousand dollars placed in the coffers of a congressman - from a relatively anonymous source - like pornhub or freeones - or Skeeter Keekove - or Seymour Butts - and that will drop quicker than a porn stars panties!

Would this put the legal NV brothels out of business? Or can they stay open but not advertise? Slippery slope here.

txtittyfag. - The Democrats do the same thing: vote party line on stupid bills that they propose too.
