$4.25 at the place around the corner from me, which is generally one of the cheaper stations around. The BJ's Gas down the street is now causing traffic jams onto adjacent streets as folks look to save 10 or 15 cents a gallon.

I read that story this morning. WTF man? Also read a story of a guy in Clearwater, FL who’s on-again off-again girlfriend chucked his dog off his 7th floor balcony. Guess they’re off-again now…

I can’t understand how anyone was surprised by any of this. Putin has made it clear that he views Ukraine and other former Soviet Republics the same way that Carmine Lupertazzi in The Sopranos viewed Jersey as a glorified crew, not a real family. Putin views these as not real countries. He’s explicitly said it and for a long time. One thing about many authoritarian countries is that they don’t play games with their long term intentions, they mean what they say. When Putin says Ukraine is not a real country and an integral part of Russia he is telling you what he really believes. When China says that Taiwan is an integral part of China and makes their associated threats, believe them.

The closest I've ever come, was the White River Amusement Pub (WRAP) in White River Junction, VT in the early 2000s. I recall the locals there not being particularly welcoming to 3 out of towners from the Boston area in their early to mid 20s and we weren't there long. The building was destroyed in a fire a couple of years or so later, so apparently the WRAP really wasn't there long either.

Definitely not for me. Not into being a spectacle. If I'm out to dinner on my birthday, nobody better say anything to the waitstaff because if I have all the waiters and waitresses singing Happy Birthday with a cake and drawing the attention of the entire room, I am not happy about it.

Years ago, I happened to be in South Florida on vacation the same week as the Super Bowl was in town. Not deliberately planned on my part. I checked out Tootsie's one evening that week and I've never seen that many dancers and customers in one club at one time. Of course, Tootsie's is physically a gigantic club, but still. It really was not my preferred atmosphere and I would not look to repeat.

Been accidentally head butted a couple of times. There's been occasions where a grinding dancers weight managed to come down on the berries rather than the twig, which was less than comfortable. I've had a dancer plop down on my lap while sitting at a table and accidentally jam my car keys into my thigh, that didn't feel too good. And I guess it didn't actually hurt per se, but I had a dancer in Florida repeatedly put her hands around my throat, even after I reached up pulled her hands away multiple times. She kept telling me to "relax". I don't think she really understood the meaning of that word. It was not relaxing.

^^ I was going to say the same thing. Nobody is more patient with coaches than the Steelers. I do have to give Tomlin max credit for somehow being able to put up with/coexist with Antonio Brown for as long as he did.

Agree with the above statements. The last two elections left me with a bitter feeling over the choices I was presented with. Is it really too much to ask to be able to vote for a candidate as opposed to choosing the lesser of two unpalatable options?

With regard to Flores and the Dolphins, it is an unarguable fact that Ross is a terrible owner. There are few bigger barriers to success, if any, than bad ownership. Just ask Washington fans that have watched Dan Snyder take one of the best, most successful organizations in the NFL and run it into the ground.

If your timeframe is accurate, I think you are likely shit out of luck my friend. Not enough time to get to Providence and back and I think likely not enough time to go to Brockton either. As for Boston clubs, if you’re looking for mileage, save your time and money.

Aren't we talking about a city that regularly uses the slogan "Keep Portland Weird"? Kind of unsurprising that there would be a bunch of weirdos around, no?

He truly was unique. And he lived hard. I remember watching the "Behind The Music" episode on him on VH1 and he told a story about going on a bender in the early 80s in Philadelphia and waking up 2 days later in a hotel room in Toronto and having no memory of what happened in between. Crazy shit. RIP.

Generally, I prefer not be a baby stripper's on the job training. Obviously from this thread, some of you have had some very good experiences in this regard, but I think on average I'd prefer a more experienced dancer.

Kingcool - It's much easier once you've first spent time with her and she recognizes you. Not easy to break through the ice the first time. Personally, I got her attention the first time tipping her at the stage.

I never go with a set plan, just go with the flow and see how I feel it. I don't think I've ever spent over $1,000.00 in a night at a club, I think my high is probably around $800 or so a couple of times. I don't recall regretting it all, they were good nights.
