Pizza Hut has virtually disappeared from my area. Papa John's also, though they were never well established here to begin with. There are too many good local options to deal with chains anyway, though I do occasionally order from Papa Gino's.

Anywhere there are Titties.
I always cut a check (well two actually, Fed and State), so not a fan...

Lovely. Not that I've ever been there, but any time there is an incident at a Providence club I worry about it bringing heat on all the clubs.

I have a Cadillac Lounge T-shirt that has sat at the bottom of my drawer for roughly forever at this point. I don’t even know why I don’t just throw it away. It’s not as if I would ever wear a stripe club T-shirt out anywhere.

^ that would actually be a bonus for me. The Guinness t shirt I would wear wherever. A strip club t shirt...not so much.

The Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. Much of the West in general. I've never been further west than Chicago.

Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding - Dream Theater > Elton John. And I like the Elton John version.

Skibum- So funny, when I saw the thread title, Toll House cookies (Whitman) was the first thing I thought of. I'll also add the first night baseball game (Hull).

Perhaps it's possible that drugs being involved and it also being a tragic loss are not mutually exclusive?

I've never been to any of the Bridgeport clubs, but to see multiple posters say that Cheaters was upscale by comparison...I'm having a hard time computing that. I'm trying to imagine, but my mind just doesn't want to go there.

I just saw the news this morning. It truly sucks. I like the Foos, he was a good drummer, and seemed like a legit cool guy. I absolutely loved when he and Dave Grohl inducted Rush (my favorite band) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You could see how obviously thrilled he was. This is a sad way to start the weekend.

Gotta back up OWG and Skibum here, 15 years ago this place was THE place. Weekend nights were absolutely bonkers. Both floors open and crowded. Hell, both stages upstairs would have every seat taken. It's hard to believe it's the same place.

This reminds me of the time someone asked me if I thought it would be a good idea for him to sign as a personal guarantor on a lease for a couple of acquaintances of his who were going to use the apartment to run an illegal card game. Some bad ideas are just plain as day.

Where my office is, the landlord's son is highly involved in commercial real estate management. Lat's just say that he is not his father's equal. Yo should see the emails he sends around with misused words all over the place, like he's Little Carmine from the Sopranos. His father is elderly and I dread the day that he passes as who knows what the heck is gonna happen.

St. Patrick's Day, much like New Year's Eve lost its allure for me quite awhile ago. I have no desire to get drunk, nor do I have any desire to be around a large group of drunk and rowdy clowns.

I once led a hockey league in penalty minutes. I guess with my screen name that's really not that much of a surprise though...

^ He was never the highest paid QB even though he was the best. He would have totally justified in insisting on that. He never did.
As opposed to Rodgers who made it clear he wanted to be the highest paid player in the NFL.

It's quite a shame the Combat Zone was pretty much a memory before I was old enough to experience it.
