I think Samsung1 has it right, however we should remember that for invetmentment purposes it is almost impossible to guess the ultimate winners. A few shrewd people with very good connections make a killing. Most people who try to guess this kind of thing lose some or all of their money. Apple, A HUGE SUCCESS in recent years was also A HUGE SUCCESS at the beginning, and almost went belly-up in the middle. Tough to outguess the pros.

Brand new club? Huh ???? No way. The reviews go all the way back to 2005. As for the reviewer who pulled Shadowcat's chain, he wrote basically the same review a year earlier. Only not quite as strong the first time.
I don't see anything wrong with AlienBoy's review of Seventh Veil. I get the feeling that it wasn't a single isolated girl, but a culture that had developed among the girls. And it's not like he gave the club a 1. Now I have not been to Seventh Veil, and maybe the club deserves a higher score -- I just can't comment. I do agree that reviewers should think it over before writing a really hostile review. That's just common courtesy - and common sense, too.

Which is more intimate -- emailing or fucking? If you fuck carelessly you can get STD but if you email carelessly you could - in worst case - have a damaged computer or a virus-infected computer which then might damage the computers of people you email to. Rare but possible. Like STDs

I totally agree with Samsung1 and MisterGuy. The whole "Mikayla" bit seems a bit phony to me.
In this regard, check out the "Hints for a rookie" discussion thread. Just doesn't ring true. Well, what Clubber said rings true enough. But the dialogue between Mikayla and the OP.

Ironcat makes an excellent point, and I totally agree with him. Plenty of the reviews on this site are phony in one way or another so you always need to keep your bullshit detector turned on when reading them. Remember Founder's admonition "consider everything you read on this site as a work of fiction". (Even tho most of it is true.)

I would be very surprised if TUSCL has much impact on what clubs are raided or when. Cops live in their communities and have many ways to get info. Whether a place is raided or not has a lot to do with the political environment of the town. Very little to do with web postings.

I agree you should be cautious and obey the law, but it sounds like you are doing that.
If he was seriously interested in arresting you it would most likely be part of a sting operation and he wouldn't be wearing an "I am a Copper" tee shirt.

I recommend Soft Touch, and the East Saint Louis area in general, for high mileage and extras. Read the reviews and you will find plenty of evidence.

About a year ago I posted a review of my visit to "Westside" at 75 Clarkson - not far from the West Village.
However, apparently Westside is no more. I wonder what occupies the space at 75 Clarkson now. I felt it was much fun while I was there, strong hints of extras, although I never offered to buy any extras, so can't say for sure.
If I were to go to NYC my first destination would be Gallaghers 2000 in the Bronx. I would visit at least twice - once on day shift once on night - before forming any strong opinions.

Shadowcat: It is bad enough that they run the POP up ITC
Arbeeguy: Gosh, Shadowcat, you have bragged many times how you can get girls for less than the going rate because of your skill, your charm, and the CANDY. Now you complain because some big spenders help the girls out by giving them EXTRA money? Woweeee. I think you should appreciate these guys. After all, the gals have to make a living. Some guys pay a little less than normal, some pay a little (a lot?) more than normal. So it all evens out for the gals. I hope your girlfriends in the club don't find out that you resent the extra money they get from the sugar daddies.

Look at this through the other end of the telescope, or a different KIND of telescope. We all know there are a TON of women out there who used to strip, but don't now. They found a non-loser guy who would support them, or they got a career break, and can support themselves without stripping. A lot (not all) of the ones who are still stripping, therefore, have boyfriends (or husbands) who cannot support them. So they strip for money. A-B-C.

I suppose Gatorfan is being ironic, because common sense sez a DISCUSSION THREAD about blogs would be more appropriate. And as one of the earlier posters said, the idea of a blog is really an online journal, not intended as a discussion.
With very few exceptions, I really like the articles. The comments on the articles seem OK. I'm still trying to get up the energy to write a good article.

If they ARE being moderated, the moderators are sometimes doing a shoddy job. I have seen some reviews that really didn't meet minimal standards. But that's just MHO.
