Is it a discussion, an article or a blog?

As it is used on here, I am damned if I can see any difference between them.

kinda true.. regarding the blogs though.. there seems to be a certain dancer that is abusing the reason of blogs. she's been starting a different blog for every one of her i'm working tonight, i'm off tonight, i'm working tomorrow comments. imo besides nobody really caring if she's working or not she doesn't need to start a different blog for every damn comment. it looks like spam to me and she's bumping more interesting blogs off the 1st page.

oh.. and also the generic viagra ads are definately spam! 3 different ads under 3 different names, but they all showed up at the same time and you know it's the same spammer posting them.

Hire more moderators, too much garbage on the articles and blogs.

I agree. I know which "dancer" you're speaking about. Pretty annoying if ya ask me. It's obvious she has many names reviewing the club she works at.

The blogs section seems to be getting out of control.

I generally read the discussions, occasionally look at the articles, and almost never read the blogs. The blogs and articles seem to have had a negative impact on the number of discussion posts.

On the TUSCL homepage it seems like the "news feed" you get, it is hard to tell whether it is a blog, discussion, or article. I wish you could customize it so you don't have to see the new blogs because most of those are becoming spam. I wouldn't be surprised if craigslist or backpage hookers start using it to recruit guys for sessions.

Aren't blogs supposed to be only 1 person posting and no reply comments from others?

well it's obviously not my call, but i think a mod or two to help keep the spam down would be a good addition to tuscl ;)

Wasn't even aware there were blogs here at TUSCL. But I looked and they do all seem the same.

I'm with you, gator. Blogs are like journals, sharing personal experiences and not really meant for continuing comment or discussion. They simply convey a person's thoughts that others may be interested in reading and, hopefully, learn from them. But since there is a place on TUSCL for submitting comments under the blog, it invites discussion. I'm planning to post a blog myself soon. Just my $.02 worth

Founder started the blog section because he wanted to clear up the articles section. He now moderates the article sections and requires each article to be approved. He will give 4 weeks TUSCL VIP credit. Blogs have no moderation and no approval process

Wasn't aware that there were blogs, but from the descriptions here, maybe ignorance is bliss. I've always seen discussions as wanting feedback, whereas articles, if you don't get feedback, no biggie. Put another way, articles seem to me more about providing information, not starting a conversation.

Maybe someone should start a blog about blogs and then we can all comment!

I suppose Gatorfan is being ironic, because common sense sez a DISCUSSION THREAD about blogs would be more appropriate. And as one of the earlier posters said, the idea of a blog is really an online journal, not intended as a discussion. With very few exceptions, I really like the articles. The comments on the articles seem OK. I'm still trying to get up the energy to write a good article.
