    Classifying clubs and dancers
I don't take the time to investigate dancers' personal histories, fake or real. I'll chat with them for however long it takes for the next song to start so she can start my dances. Usually, it's BS anyways.

This Topic We Can Get Universal Agreement On...
We're not the target audience of StripperWeb so it's no big surprise that we're not fans. The dancers who post there seem to enjoy the site, and it's sometimes interesting to read about the details of dancing as an industry, not a hobby. It's an interesting sociology experiment.

The Free Dance Gambit: Accept or Decline?
Maybe she knows a bouncer well enough to call him over and cry foul after you try to skip the club without paying for the dance. That is classic "clip joint" MO.

    What you say
I don't like to share personal information with strangers, especially stuff that can lead them back to you. Stalkers come in all shapes and sizes.

I should have asked what sort of gift you were talking about. I was thinking flowers or chocolates, but from the way some of the others responded, it sounds like they were thinking that you were talking about jewelry or something of that nature.

Ever told a flat out lie to a dancer but she calls you on it?
Told flat out lies? Yes. Been called out? No, either she wasn't bothered enough to do anything about it or didn't catch it (wasn't listening or paying enough attention to notice).

Asking about giving her a birthday gift here, claiming to have a "true friendship" with her, and thinking that you were her "father figure" are all symptoms of being an RIL or PL. Maybe those things are true for you and your girl, but then again maybe they aren't. Hence their comments.

    Dancer or stripper?
I call them strippers, though even stripper is a mislabel since many strippers make their living dry humping guys for tips, sometimes without taking off their clothes in some clubs.

    How reliable Top 40?
I ignore any club on that list with less than 20 reviews and regard clubs with less than 50 reviews with skepticism.

    Intuition or Logic?
davids, my "how to let go?" thread had nothing to do with what I thought she was thinking. It had more to do with what I was thinking. For God's sake, give it a rest.

Dancer asking if you're married & your answer
I answer no, because I'm single. Occasionally I'll show them my ring fingers for effect, knowing that some married guys who have doffed their ring or don't wear one do that, too.

    Intuition or Logic?
I use both intuition and logic; I can handle contradictory evidence and multiple trains of thought.

    How reliable Top 40?
minnow, I was talking about clubs with 20-50 reviews in the Top 40 list, not any club. The way I see it, there's something wrong with any club that's popular enough to crack the Top 40 list but not popular enough to get more than 20-50 reviews.

clubber, if you aren't interested in hearing answers other than the ones you want to hear, you shouldn't bother asking the question to begin with.

Do you ASK a stripper if she has a BOYFRIEND before spending MONEY on her?
The word on the street is that the literature of people who have seriously studied the subject of dating strippers is full of shit. It is probable that strippers don't respect pathetic losers who pay for time with them. I'm sure that they don't respect pathetic losers like davids who go to strip clubs and don't buy dances from them either. I'm certain that they would have a special level for contempt for RomanticLover if they even knew or cared that he actually existed.

"Seems the only one that can even grasp the concept of my question was FONDL. He, having had a similar relationship understands." is classic denial. And "Thanks everyone in any case."is backhanded gratitude, in my opinion.

If you talk to Strippers for Free...
Women won't respect you just because you choose not to spend money at strip clubs. Just because you're strung out on strippers doesn't make you worth respecting.
