But if a customer is basing their choices strictly on physical looks, how do the B-minus or C-minus dancers get a chance to mingle and win over the customers that would like her personality and didn't care so much for looks or stage presence?

Yes.
Sometimes ATF's or faves can get complacent, and they start taking their reg's for granted. The dances get sloppy and are no longer sexy, or she talks more than she dances. Or she'll make you wait while she caters to the customer nearby who she knows spends more than you will. Any number of things can kill the experience if she gets too greedy or lazy.

I've seen several, but it is L.A. after all.
Once had Wee-Man crash my booth at a club that was closing. The club was packed, and there was no where to sit. He politely asked if he & his entourage could sit w/ me & my dancer in our big, roomy booth. I have checked out new clubs because a dancer has asked me to follow her there. They weren't faves, just dancers that I liked and wanted to help out. Each time the dancers would stay at their new club for just a few weeks, then move on to yet another new club. But I always find new dancers that I like at these new clubs, so it is a win for me.
