I pretty much agree with every single thing everyone has said on this thread even if they contradict each other. If it’s my regular place I usually don’t let on that I’ve been there dozens of times. I’ll admit to having been there “a few times before”. If it’s a new place I’ll say something like “not this particular club, but I’ve been meaning to give it a try”

The drink thing probably wasn’t as weird in person as it sounds in your post. At least I hope not. But now she she had a better idea how to be sly with the alcohol until it’s not an issue anymore.
