Ever happen to bump into a dancer you know...in the street, outside the club
I would probably not even notice if I bumped into any dancer on my daily errand runs on the weekend. I'm too focused to the point where I never bother to look around my surroundings to get shit done. The closest I'll ever get to these dancers is pretty much rolling with their romance hustle until they stop contacting me after learning I'm not easily played.

Thinking it might be time to cut ties with this hobby...
Interesting perspective san_jose_guy. I've sort of had some experience in the 'giving' sense but I've strayed away from it which brought me over to hitting the club. As for age, I'm complimented for my young look but we all know that it's just bullshit for dancers to keep us hooked into spending more on them. Hobby or not, going to the club is pretty much just a source of erotic entertainment. We can get it for free 'virtually' but nothing beats the on-hand fantasy up front and personal. I guess that's why I find myself coming back. As for the car, I've decided to save up for a couple of years (maybe about three) so I can get my dream car instead...a Nissan GTR. Been in love with it since being first introduced to the original Skylines back in the days when they weren't brought to the states. Only downside would be not getting the full feeling of a manual shift and the expensive maintenance. However, seeing as how I don't drive much in the first place while dealing with nasty LA/SoCal traffic once in awhile...I think it should work (I hope).

The funny thing is I don't really drive much in general which shows since I've owned my 2004 Tacoma for well over 11 year with only around 80k mileage. Plus I've always pictured myself driving something faster but the convenience of being able to haul shit in the back of the truck was so satisfying when shopping for furniture. I have a friend who's telling me I should vlog my journey of modding it. That actually sounds pretty fun to do especially when I plan on getting a new Note7 from my S5. As what was said...I'll probably cut back instead of cut ties especially when it's always exciting meeting new dancers that I've never met before.

I know what you mean. You seem very similar to me having these additional hobbies on the side. I may do what you have said with spacing my visits out even further be it months or even years. It's not like these dancers who I've gotten familiar with would care. Although I'm disappointed the last ebony dancer on my last visit never got back to me with meeting out the club which would have been a first. Oh well.

    Fake Number then Real Number
Remembering some old post about phone numbers, everyone seems to be right about the fact that dancers won't ever try to keep in contact with you unless you're going to spend on them via in the club or outside the club. The only exception to this seems to be an all-time favorite or current favorite that you continue to see on a regular basis. Even down the road, some stripper shit may come up and you'll find your favorite slowly collecting dust at the bottom of your contact list. Over the course of my endeavor from clubbing since April, I've received my sixth number last night. It's pretty much the same thing that always occurs...dancers would enjoy being with me and would want to exchange numbers. Two never got back to me on our last conversation, one seems to have quit dancing, one who never replied, one who randomly contacts me, and the last one I'm testing to see if she'll actually reply or not. I'm curious to see if the last one was stripper shit since she seems to be the first one who wants to actually meet outside the club. I'll see how it goes with this upcoming week.

Better to look young and be old or look old and be young?
As shailynn already mentions... More than likely depends on the dancer herself. From what I've read in past post, dancers are more likely to approach older looking men due to the stereotype that they're willing spend more while also being more easy to work with. A less mature dancer would probably try to look for a younger good-looking customer to have fun with but still try to hustle him the best she can. Based on my own experience, women always mistake me looking around 20-24 when I'm 29...including in the club. Apparently they focus on my face since they can't tell much with my completely shaven head. As for the dancers who approach me? That's pretty much up in the air. I always walk in well-dressed but still have an intimidating vibe from what I've been told...at least until I open up with my smile =P

I have heard that the tacos there are pretty legit. The language app does seem like a good idea as well. I'll think about it if the opportunity arises ever again. If it doesn't happen then I'm willing to bet that I'd be fine without the experience. I'm hoping I could go back to Cancun resort though which I'd prioritize more over TJ.

I'm a late bloomer (29yo). I started just in April of this year with twelve visits thus far. I know I'll break the habit once I actually find a significant other but dating continues to be a pain in the ass.

Wasn't sure if I was running into my first ripoff...
My apologies 3LeggedMan. I figured people already knew that I still only visit one club which is the one and only club I reviewed on here a few months back at Deja Vu Torrance. As for the dancer, her name was Raja (spelling?) ...apparently from the tiger in the Disney movie Aladdin. A petite latina with medium-long black curly hair and a face that seems to be scarred from acne or chicken pox as her makeup didn't really cover it much. From our quick conversation, she has been dancing at different clubs in different states with 'this one' being her home club. She wasn't terrible per se...mostly wasn't my type. The stuff on the side that I mentioned just fueled the bad experience from her not fitting my personal preference.

Thanks everyone for all your stories and experiences. I'll try to keep some of those in mind for the near future when I chill with my co-workers. They all should be cool on the club setting but we all know that we have to see for ourselves on true behavior.

Would you consider me still new to the club scene?
The different views from all of you...quite overwhelming to say the least but still very interesting. I have thought about checking out the City of Industry club but it's tough to get past the convenience of a three minute drive on a last minute decision. To be honest, I don't even think I've gotten that fresh excited feeling when going to the club for the first time. Maybe it has to do to the first club I visited? I pretty much walked in with full confidence knowing what to expect after a few reads here on TUSCL. However, the club I went to rolled a bit differently than what I did read about. Plus dressing up in a clean formal style probably added even more with looking like someone who knew the club game. One thing is for sure...as much as I enjoy my time with my current favorite, I'll continue to take a different ride with any dancer that strikes my interest and develop a better experience with this hobby.

Haha...I really am a straight up amateur. Just one of the many things I'm exploring while I'm still twenty-nine, single, no kids, and getting settled in life. TUSCL no doubt has given some decent tips and stories to abide by. I'm very thankful for that. I guess I'll keep enjoying myself until something prevents me from continue this hobby.

How meticulous a SCer are you ?
Easy enough to remember on my current three month endeavor at the same club I've only been visiting thus far. Seven dancers. Four phone numbers. Two taken to VIP twice. Two others with decent mileage. I budget about ~$300 for each dancer/visit.

Clubbing more often to scratch the itch?
It really depends on how much you satisfy that itch. I would think that spending more would keep it tamed so that you'll end up not having to visit very often. Likewise...if you just need a quick fix then spending less but going often is probably your go to solution. When it comes down to it, self control is the real answer. Budget accordingly. As for me, I didn't want to start doing it but I seem to have started a habit of texting a dancer from light flirting to random rants and opinions. I already know it's not going anywhere but it seems to keep me content in reducing my visits. Lucky for her though that the attention she's giving me pretty much guarantees my wallet to her on my next visit. Then if she keeps that up, she'll have a decentry source of funds...

    Strange behavior...
I agree with what Subraman mentioned. I would think that most acquired phone numbers are pretty much just 'that'. Getting a heads up if they'll be working. I only have three numbers. First one was because she had an interest in one of my hobbies. Second one apparently wanted to small talk after our good time in VIP (she never replied back yet on one text I sent her a few weeks back). Third one is pretty much the same reason as the second except that she actually responds but only when I'm asking about whether or not she'll be working. I don't think much of it besides giving them an easier time for business. The first dancer who gave me her number is probably the only one who would actually respond to random small-talk or flirty text. That's why she's the one who will be getting most of my business at the moment. I have no intentions of texting back her or anyone else until next month on my next visit unless they actually try to contact me without business in mind. We as customers shouldn't expect anything more than a business relationship though. Still, I wouldn't completely rule out some of the possibilities. Some gentlemen here do get lucky.

I read about 'current favorite' and 'all-time favorite'. Do any of you deal with
I do get what ppwh is saying on going with the flow. I could always just ask both of them ahead of time if they're working on a certain day and leave it at that. Then I'll head to the club to see what I'm in the mood for or take notice on which of my favored dancer decides to keep me company first. Maybe they're both busy or aren't interested on my arrival. That'a fine too. I'll still enjoy myself with someone else or take my leave without denting my wallet. Whatever happens, at least this is opening some doors on any great opportunity may arrive just as ppwh says. I did have an instance of a similar situation like you sharkhunter but not as bad. She wasn't as butt-hurt about it but still tried to make some negotiations with me. I doubt she would pursue to make me her regular since I've only went VIP with her once. I'm ready to deny her again if I have to as I already mentioned that I'm here for so and so. Don't really have an interest in taking her back to VIP either...no connection of interests.

I blame my blunt personality with getting things situated. I'm a person of logical thinking so I felt that contacting them was the best scenario to go with to make my intentions clear. It's a business and we're customers at the end of the day. Looking for what's best for their business and satisfying my needs should be a given. As for going with the flow? That mindset isn't always a good idea from my perspective. It's very situational which in this case I avoided. I pretty much apply my preference before I head over there. No use wasting my time if they aren't available. Isn't that why we get their phone numbers in the first place (aside from 'out the club' situations)? Anyway, I have already gotten in touch with both of them and everything is all settled. I can't read their actual emotions through text but what was said makes everything seem fine. Still, I like your take on 'current favorite'. I'll keep that thought in mind. I intend to make my visits towards the dancer who is less busy and/or has less regulars but if something comes up then I'm sure I can enjoy myself with the other if she's available as well as any other familiar face in the club who I've had a good time with. Sucks that I can't get the best of both worlds with one dancer. Both of them cater to me differently but the club life isn't as simple as it seems. I'm sure if someone like that ever shows up, she'll probably become an 'all-time favorite'.

Thanks for the your input fellas. It was a busy night being approached by four dancers. I gave them all a heads up on who I'm there for and they all respected it. It took about half an hour before my intended visit took notice. It was a bit funny that while we were caught up with talking, she ended up losing track of her turn on stage which caused the maids go up to clean the stage/poles. Anyway, I'm currently getting in touch with both of them to make it so that I intend to prioritize one over the other due to availability (one seems to have more regulars lined up than the other). They both 'seem' mature enough to assess the situation so hopefully I can make it simple that way. I'll see once I get a proper response. Six dancers taken to VIP in a span of three months, I think I'll finally try that route of 'current favorite'. There's always a possibility in losing interest but only time will tell. I'm sure the simple remedy would be me switching over to the other or taking a break as said before.

    Still better
I generally hate when anyone (not just dancers) flake on me. With that said, a ruined visit would have to be a dancer not showing up after having talked about it beforehand. Then even worse without an apology afterwards. This has only happened once thus far but was told to expect even more in the future from a club veteran. This pretty much tattooed that mindset of how insignificant we are as customers or at least as patrons who have not started being a regular to them. I'm not too disappointed about it seeing as how anyone can have a lot going on but I would lose interest fast with making future plans with that individual. This even goes for family members or so-called 'friends'. No mercy to broken promises. Now to see if this happens again this Friday evening with another dancer. I guess I should start getting used to this with ongoing my third month of clubbing. As for a great visit? A simple counter to what ruined it in the first place always seems to remedy the situation. If different dancer is able to provide similar, better, or even a unique experience (which has continued to happen thus far) then life is good.

    How do yall budget??
I spend about ~$300 per visit which seems to roll around one to three times per month on Friday evenings. Although I still carry ~$1k just in case I find a dancer who's 'worth it'. I also visit when the club is almost closed which prevents me from overspending. It's a bit redundant though. I tend to be the only customer left who's preventing the club from closing in the first place but the added privacy is nice when it's just me and the dancer left in the VIP area.

Do club bouncers/managers bother you when a VIP session or last song is coming t
Now that you mention it, that does sound different than the way the operations work at the local club I'm hitting up. Is that how most clubs you visited work in VIP? There actually does seem to be a separate lap dance area in the club but I would never bother with it seeing as how the club itself has 'set prices' where paying more gets you a better deal. $20 Topless $30 Nude $50 VIP 2 Songs Nude $100 VIP 5 Songs Nude $200 VIP 30 Minute Topless $300 VIP 30 Minute Nude I'm guessing the first two are for the 'lap dance area'. I've only done 'timed' VIP twice since I realized you're better off just paying for songs (each song is 3 minutes). With that said, I never tried to do any negotiations so I may also bring that up to the bouncer or manager if that's allowed. I often wait for the DJ to announce that extra song special so I'd get the $100 VIP 6 Songs instead of 5. Everything is still confusing how everything works in this club which is why I'm going to ask about them on my next visit. I actually see some negotiating going on since even when the extra song special was over, I would ask a dancer if we can still do it and she would brush it off like nothing and say that's fine. I would pay the manager or bouncer the $100 and tell him '6 songs' along with the dancer's name. I get the 'okay' ...then the dancer and I head over to the VIP area.

Do club bouncers/managers bother you when a VIP session or last song is coming t
"In those clubs where there's no booth meter -- that is, the club charges the DANCER by how many songs they've been in the VIP -- the bouncer does not come by. Either the dancer finishes up and gets out in time, or she gets charged for another song or VIP." If that is the case then I'll need to verify this with the dancer. What I remember in one conversation, the club takes like fifty percent of the amount of songs you pay up front when entering the VIP area/room. I'll most likely talk to the entrance bouncer about it on how the whole club stays running to help shed some light on the situation especially when we all have that sort of mindset in making sure a business stays active without hiccups. I would feel bad if I literally have been spending like less than half in cost during my time in the VIP and the dancer gets charged for the length of how long we actually stayed in there. Through my experience though, it doesn't seem like they get charged for it. Who knows what goes on in the back-end though. Rules do get broken once in awhile.
