Attitude is everything
i'm not sure how much experience you've had with strip clubs, and I've never tried to give a name to this before, but surely you've come across a dancer who's in serious money making mode? you can almost hear her counting down the dances and dollars until she meets her goal for the hour, she barely even has time to say hello to a customer. I've even written about at least two dancers I've come across in that mode. in both cases I was prepared to spend at least $300 on each girl, but because they pissed me off so badly one girl only got $20 and the other got nothing at all. I don't buy dances, I hire regulars. i have never and doubt I ever will meet a dancer who turned down $100 for a smoke. most girls, one reason they turn to dancing is because they have to pay for their smoking habit, and I don't mean nicotine, I can see a dancer turning down $100 because she can make more money faster from someone else, but rarely for any other reason

So she could wait 12 min for a cigarette but not 15 min? Must of been one hell of a blunt she had waiting. Myself, I think "any more is a waste of my time" is pretty clear. Met more than a few dancers with that attitude.

You need to work with your therapist on your tendency to deny reality. People with low self-esteem are often driven to compensate through professional achievement, hence why it's a cliche. And there is absolutely nothing you can do to help your ATF stop using drugs. Truth is, you're actually her greatest enabler. She has zero respect for you, and is taking advantage of you in every way she possibly can. She will never turn her life around until she hits rock bottom, and that will never happen as long as you are there to continually save her from the consequences of her own actions.

Papi, w/o knowing the girl and the club you can't make that assumption. I've known dancers who would have a waiting list of guys at $100 for 4 dances. Personally I think it's stupid to handle your business in such a short sighted manner, but no one ever said intelligence was a necessary corollary of good looks.

@georgebailey - Let's say you offered $100 for 5 dances. She countered with $100 for 4 dances. In her mind, at $20 per dance, she's losing $100 every hour. Based upon her wording, I think this is the most likely answer. But given that most guys tend to escalate contact with every dance, a second factor could have been that she simply didn't feel comfortable doing 5 dances for you in particular, or perhaps for anyone in that particular environment.

Life is strange.....
If I'm correct in understanding that you've tipped her for 3 years w/o ever receiving a nibble, then I would say you did not fail a shit test. More likely she lost a sugar daddy and was feeling you out for the vacancy in her calendar.

Getting over an ATF
Wasn't referring to SA or paying her. gentleman mentioned they never exchanged last names, which I thought was weird, unless he was deliberately trying to keep distance with her. also mentioned he was married. so I was just suggesting that he open his eyes and be open to all possibilities. with a married woman there shouldn't be any illusion that it's going to be permanent. then again it's also weird to me that one p4p arrangement has to end b/c the dancer found a wealthier gentleman. I was under the illusion dancers who indulged in OTC normally did so with multiple men. it's not like a dancer is going to turn down your $100 set of dances ITC b/c some other guy is paying her $300?

Find a married woman who wants to fool around. Really. She'll be a lot cheaper, will be discreet, and a lot less trouble than a dancer.

I haven't heard that song "in a minute".
I always hear "in a hot minute". It can mean days, weeks, even months. No idea where it came from.

Vegas Baby
Strippers dancing in civvie outfits
@houjack - Same thing happened to me recently. Was sitting in a club not terribly impressed with the dancers working the floor, when I noticed this cute lil thing come sauntering by in hipster clothing. Had no clue if she was a civilian, waitress/bartender, or a dancer either coming on shift or going off shift. So I walked over to her, and found out she was a dancer who had just arrived. Well, the early bird gets the worm as they say.

How much has TUSCL helped you overall?
I first discovered TUSCL while living in Vegas. I created an account (which no longer seems to exist) and occasionally used it to read about local clubs. But for the most part the things I read didn't match my experiences. For one thing, most posters seemed to have this attitude like everyone flew into Vegas on Friday night, and then flew out again Sunday night, with the last one out presumably turning off all the lights. And I was like, "Ya'll do realize that there are people who actually live and work here?" Another thing is that by the time I got to Vegas, I had already dated one dancer and become good friends with another. In Vegas I continued that pattern, befriending some dancers, dating others, and eventually living with one dancer for several years. Most of this I have never and probably will never discuss because it's completely outside the box of what the average poster here accepts as reality. TUSCL has made me aware of different perspectives, and different experiences than my own. It's one of three websites that historically I have visited from time to time. But really I find that as always, I have learned and continue to learn the most from dancers themselves.

Favorite mix of ethnicities in a stripper?
"latin american" in north america is indistinguishable from "hispanic" both refer to an ethnicity not a racial group. specifically anyone who speaks spanish. there's a huge difference between a hispanic who is part white part native american and a hispanic who is part black and part native american. imo hispanic curves more often than not come from the black admixture. witness cubans and brazilians

After Gawker last discussion This quote should follow:
Gawker, you are one dumb son of a bitch. Of course everything is your fault. Everything bad that's ever happened to her from the moment she was conceived has been your fault. You've been with her now for how many years and you still don't know that? Procrastination? Check. Paranoia? Check. In and out of 23 fucking detox facilities? LMFAO. Damage to your property? Check. Fucking other guys while you're at work? Check. Getting back with the abusive boyfriend who knocked her up? Check and check. 24/7 fights? check. "Losing" money? Check. This is the funniest shit I've read all day. Wake me up when you get to the part where she calls the police and accuses you of rape.

Identifying MILFs
Genetics plays a role for sure. I knew a dancer until fairly recently who has a small child. I would never have guessed if she hadn't shown me a photo. With others it's more or less obvious. In the clubs I frequent it's usually a small percentage who you can easily identify.

lady to entertainer... flipping the switch.
A lot of dancers seem to get into stripping after breakups with significant others. Sometimes it's with a boyfriend and the girl develops a "what the fuck" attitude. Sometimes it's a divorce, and money problems are an additional incentive. Of course a lot of women become dancers because they have a child to feed. I've met some who came to this country with no skills and almost no ability to speak English, so stripping is the one thing that allows them to provide for themselves (and their children). Of course many girls now strip to pay for college. Girls today are being sexualized at unbelievably young ages. All it takes to get explicit hardcore porn is a phone, and everyone has a phone these days. Society has gone from Breakfast at Tiffany's to Pretty Woman to 50 Shades of Gray. Every young girl these days has read all the books and seen all the movies. Don't know how many ex-cheerleaders I've come across in strip clubs. Girls who were raised extremely conservatively, either Catholic or Mormon, can go to extremes in rebellion. And sometimes there is actual abuse some distant time. A girl I knew had a thing for older guys, not guys who were old enough to be her father, but rather guys who were old enough to be her grandfather. Another dancer I knew well told me how she had lost her father at the age of three due to suicide...

A fetish thread.
@cashman - Air dance clubs are precisely where you're most likely to find aspiring sugar babies. The fact that you avoid them is why you don't understand my reference. And I didn't say every city, I was speaking in generalities. It would take a good sized city, with a known affluent population, to likely host just one such club.

@BurlingtonHoFactory - Somewhat off topic to this thread I think, but yes, you're wrong. In any city you're going to find a number of clubs which run the gamut from disguised brothels to sugar baby hunting grounds. And within each club you're going to find a number of girls who have become dancers for a multiplicity of reasons and motivations. Do you ever make an effort to try to talk to these girls, otherwise why do I find myself having to explain this to you? I really don't know what to think of guys who complain about girls who only give air dances, and then turn around and claim that they're all prostitutes. I don't really have time for this, but damnit next tine you're in a club open your eyes and ears for a change.

Have you ever danced/VIPed with a waitress or bartender?
I think a lot of guys have danced with waitresses without realizing it. It's very common for waitresses to become dancers, or to at least give it a try, usually within the first couple of weeks of becoming a waitress.
