ITC the rising arc is when you're becoming more comfortable with each other, learning about each other, and then the falling arc is when something happens that tells me this regular isn't going to last - like showing a lot of jealousy or deciding to move away and so the dances start to cool off and taper off, OTC the rising arc for me is getting to know her more as a person, and just moving out of the dancer-customer paradigm, and the falling arc is when you start to learn she's too much of a druggie, or she lives her life from one disaster to another, or maybe she has a bf or fiancee/husband who is getting jealous, and you start to drift apart in practice of course, when i'm in a descending arc with one girl, i'm usually in a rising arc with another, so things are never boring.

This is certainly my experience. Because I tend to "hire regulars" instead of buying dances, my sessions with dancers over time are like rising and falling arcs. @georgebailey - you haven't given enough details for us to get a clear picture of what happened, but you are contradicting yourself. if smoking is a turn off for you, why did you ask her to come back if she changed her mind? and are you in the habit of asking dancers if they smoke before you get dances from them? another thing I don't understand, is why you tried to bargain with this dancer. it's her decision whether she dances for you or not. it's her decision where she dances for you (for example, vip or on the floor), and what types of dances (ie mileage) she provides. if she has never met you before, you literally have no leverage with her at all. under the circumstances, you can either accept what she is selling, or find another dancer who is offering what you want (whatever that might be, at this point I don't know) i can't see myself rejecting a dancer i'm interested in over $20. if $20 represents a meaningful sum to you then you might want to question whether you should even be in a club. dancers generally provide a much better experience if they don't feel like the guy they're dancing for is a cheapskate

@mdfmk888 - I think it would be best for georgebailey to come back and clarify things, because nowhere do I see him saying that she rejected 5 dances because she needed to smoke. he said she rejected 5 dances and that she wanted to smoke, but you're the one making the assumption that the two are related. i wasn't there of course but i suspect she intended to smoke something stronger than a cigarette. either that or she had something else going on and wanting a cigarette was just a convenient excuse to get away, b/c you know a dancer would never lie and I don't know how any dancer could repeatedly interrupt dances and just leave without being fired. so she was basically giving away free dances to guys? somehow I can imagine the club having a problem with that.
