Whatever else he sung about, he never took the time and energy and put in the work to actually make his music sound good. And spends a lot of time berating people who did. Pretty much anything he every recorded solo sounds like shit. Listening to it now is like a porno with the only shit in focus is the guy's ass. When I was a kid in the 70's, it was kinda cool just cause it was rock, but I never want to hear it again...
His best work (only work that I can stand) was with Damn Yankees, when he had others to cover for him. Was watching a jam session with Tommy Shaw and between takes they were chatting and telling stories, someone asked if he had any good stories of Ted, he just shook his head and replied he won't go there...
If you want to listen to songs about pussy, just because they are about pussy? that's like 2,000,000 rap song recorded last year. Where the fuck have you been?

Had a coworker in another city that was kinda a dick. While traveling to that office with some other guys he talked us all into going to the strip club.
And, he starts acting like a dick.
We split into 2 groups and I separate. I go into the back with this one girl and realize this is all pretty much air dancing at this club (or entire city, Columbus, OH), finish a dance or two and go back. She stops at the table he's at, and goes into the back with him. About half a song later she walks past quickly leaving him....
Dunno WTF shit he was pulling, but it didn't go over well. She came back around later and just told us he's a dick and moved on.
This was the last time I went to a strip club with coworkers, or really anyone else I know. Just too fucking awkward when they try and pull some abusive shit.

Not only will those screens take up less space where they are trying to maximize business in a confined space but also do a far better job of dealing with language barriers (cause pictures!!!).
Mcdonald's is a huge international brand now. In Bangkok the place was full of Chinese tourists.
Those machines got them out of having to hiring people with language skills. And made it easy for foreign customers to order in touristy areas.

I used one 5 years ago at McDonald's in BANGKOK. The machines exist and work.
They didn't hand out the food because that's mostly an easy job where one person can handle many orders rapidly but also the main focus of where complaints and need for personal communication will exist.
If you look at the average store, while busy, 4-5 registers with people taking orders with lines behind them and 2-3 people focused on the drive through, with 3-4 people actually cooking all the food.
Add enough of the computers and not only will you need fewer people, but get orders faster. No line ordering will be faster in and out, people will come more often.

Too many people listen to these attention whores screaming they alone have the truth. That's why so many are depressed.
Sure, there are problems in the world. Food insecurity still exists in some areas, but obesity seems to be becoming a larger problem. People can't afford medical care, a lot of that medical care didn't exists at any price not so long ago.
Politics are divided. They've always been devided. I don't think they've ever been such a division from basic reality that some's these people are sticking too, but I remain hopeful that their followers are going to get bored with them and go back to watching the honey boo boo soon enough...

The only thing that's really bothering me with the pandemic is travel restrictions.
It's been over 2 years since my last trip to Bangkok, and I miss it.
But if you think that's some kinda sign of world becoming depressing? You have no idea what international travel 40 years ago was like. I still have my vaccine passport, and, that was a thing, and you did need it for some countries. Yes, in the 1980's, Cholera, Polio, Typhoid, tetanus and some other shit I can't read (fucking doctor handwriting).

I don't like cars enough to spend enough money on nice ones.
I have a '70's land cruiser, FJ40, and love driving it when it's sunny. But, no roof, no A/C, 10 MPG and a 12 gallon tank... Loud, smelly. It's got a "patina". And it wasn't "classic car" expensive.
Whatever desire I have left to own / drive something that isn't just practical transportation is filled by that.
When I have to be somewhere, I drive a prius. Quiet, 50 MPG, 4 years and 40K, nothing's been replaced or repaired but the oil and filter on standard maintenance.
I have rented a shitload of pretty cars complements of Hertz president's circle. SS Camaro, 5.0 Mustang convertible, Hemi challenger... (I actually kinda liked the TRD 4 runner more than any of them...) ya, zero to 100 and back to zero light to light on the Vegas strip is exciting once or twice, as long as I don't care about how long the transmission and brake pads last, I would never do that shit in a car I owned.

100 years ago that whole spanish flu thing was on it's third or fourth year, it went on for a while... And of course it was more deadly than covid, they had barely discovered antibiotics and didn't know how to treat a pneumonia infection for fuck's sake. Injecting fluids via IV? wasn't happening in 1921. People didn't need health insurance cause they really didn't have healthcare.... (one in five babies died before turning two).
In the '70, Vietnam. Protests against that were met with national guardsmen opening fire and murdering kids. Ever read about "the weathermen"? And when they had riots that "burned down" a city, they really burned it the fuck down, not just a couple cars and dumpsters.
Albeit, at no other point in my (not that long) a life have I seen so anyone openly mention a coup in the US and embrace the kinda cult of personality that creates African dictatorships.... And less than a year later, seemingly turn on there guy for some really damned silly reasons (he got vaccinated!!!)... Really makes me fucking wonder WTF is wrong with these idiots... But so far, they've only really managed to have themselves that bang up little riot on 1/6 that really didn't even manage to get a dumpster set on fire and they're all going to jail over it.
They've always kinda been there, maybe the more empowered they get, the easier it is to get rid' of them? I dunno.. I guess it's at least easier to give them every opportunity to not be idiots like those fucktards who still want to convince themselves and others the earth is flat... Apparently, people decide they want to be stupid...
Today, I can pull a high definition screen out of my pocket and start watching a myriad of porn on it. And find instructions on how to fix my car, washer, stove, plumbing, or start investing.
