The cost of any program is equal to the benefits paid less any expenses incurred. The only way for health care to be cheaper is to reduce administrative expenses or reduce benefits paid. If we reduce benefits paid, it means either someone is not getting adequate care or the providers are earning less. All it takes is one grandma getting high quality care in and out of hospitals for what turns out to be the final year of her life to break the system. How many 20-somethings have to buy coverage and pay premiums for care they do not wind up using to pay for the care delivered to one such grandma? 10? 15? I cannot imagine anyone advocates withholding care to their own grandma. The question is, how are we going to pay for it when she cannot? Have the gub-ment pay?? WE ARE the government. Everything they spend was once ours. If we demand pharma become not-for-profit, we will likely stifle innovation. If we demand doctors accept pay cuts, we will wind up with mediocre doctors. If we demand tort reform, we risk reckless behavior without meaningful consequence. I cannot see any way out of the morass. If we, as American citizens are going to demand the best health care in the world, we are going to pay more than the rest of the world -- one way (premiums, copays, etc.) or the other (taxes). It is a zero sum game. Every dollar goes somewhere.

I agree with JS69. I would emphasize that the main reason you come IN to the club is for the variety. I love king crab legs, but I wouldn't want to eat it three times a day every day. Some days, I just want a juicy burger. Tell her that she may be your current favorite, but your favoritism in the club is not exclusive. Completely agree with Subraman. I've had great, great times at MBOT and New Century back in the day. Enjoyed my first ever ITC at New Century. Now, I avoid SF like the plague. Between the SC consolidation, LE and Norma's save-a-ho crusaders against johns, I say fuck off SF. The tenderloin is not nearly as tender any more. Back when it was hookers, homeless and addicts, trolling block to block in that area was entertaining. Last few visits it was just homeless and addicts. No thanks. BTW, MSC is Market Square Cinema.

I wish it were that easy, SJG. If the business is within a municipality, they can revoke your business license as a public nuisance. If you serve alcohol, they can revoke your liquor license. IME, relationships rarely ever work out unless the attraction is equal, opposite and mutual. Add to the excellent points already made, consider "Uberization" -- within which middle men are eliminated as we become a nation of do-it-yourselfers. I have also heard it described as the "WalMart-ization of America". We want it cheap and quality/service doesn't matter. Consider: the financial services business with index funds and self-serve platforms. the proliferation of home depot, et al and the explosion of HGTV (fucking hate it). the disposable nature of all electronics today -- remember TV repairmen?? Hell, people are even eschewing doctors and self-diagnosing online or thru doctor-on-demand aps. We can get so much more mileage and extras at lower and lower costs than a decade ago. No wonder the millennial sex workers are choosing other methods.
