Wanna borrow money from a bank to open a strip club?
^^ Good article, shadowcat. Thanks for posting. Few people paid attention when Eric Holder, as atty general, announced the launch of Operation Choke Point back in 2011. The administration targeted 30 industries, including strippers and strip clubs, payday loan shops, firearms dealers, dating services, and others that were "out of favor" with the admin. Banks were instructed to avoid "reputational" risks with these customers. No bank wanted the extra supervision and costs that came with a Choke Point subpoena. So the path of least resistance for banks was to tell customers who seemed to be in these trades to go elsewhere. A dancer that worked at my local club and who danced there many years told me one afternoon that she was puzzled because the bank she had used forever (Wells) had told her recently she would no longer be welcome to bank there. The fact that she was young, hot, and would deposit $5000 a week in cash in the bank was too much reputational risk. Operation Choke Point was terminated by the Trump DOJ. Here's a better summary of the scheme. http://freedomandprosperity.org/2017/blog/the-much-deserved-end-of-obamas-operation-choke-point/

How common is it for PLs not to pay dancers?
One of my fave dancers told me a story about a PL that locked her up for 20 dances in the VIP @ $25 per. Claimed he needed to get the money out of his car. Never came back. I didn't ask her if the club required her to pay the house tax ($5 per dance). But I've never witnessed a real time "dance and dash."

    New Dancer Directory
I can guess, but I'm not sure what the founder is trying to accomplish with the directory. If I owned this site, I would edit/purge any language that could be interpreted to be solicitous. The FOSTA cops are going to be very aggressive enforcing this new statute until it gets challenged and curtailed in the courts (IMHO).

What's the weirdest way a dancer had tried to get a dance with you?
The tall AA girl likes to verbally spar with me, hence the question. She does have a smoking body, however.

A club customer with one arm gets beaten to death by an MMA meathead bouncer and the defendant gets a 10 year sentence? That doesn't sound like justice to me.

Do you make conversation with SC employees?
^^^ I second @subraman on this one. At my home club, I never get asked to show ID, the weekend manager always shakes my hand and welcomes me, and we never see him checking the VIP area when I'm in there. I think it's good policy to always give good tips and be cordial and professional with everyone at the club. Even the bathroom troll.

    Legalize it
Here's a grim stat: every year, 1.25 million citizens are arrested for possession of drugs for personal use (Drug Policy Alliance). Currently, 1 in 5 people of the 2.3 million people incarcerated are there for a non violent drug offenses (Prison Policy Initiative). Our 50 year "war on drugs" is a failure. Worse yet, you don't necessarily have to be incarcerated to have a marijuana bust screw up your life. In many states, possession of weed is a felony. If you get caught with joint, you will need to lawyer up, work out a deal with the prosecutor and hope that the charge will get expunged. If not, you will forever have to check the "Yes" box on the employment app or the NCIS when asked, "have you ever been charged or convicted of a felony?" That's harsh.

I've known this dancer for a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who she thinks is her attorney (her license got pulled in one of the late 2017 raids) turned out to be a pimp. I'm going to miss this Khmer dancer. I don't know who the douche-bag was who caused the altercation. But the HL mgmt should ban him permanently.

^^^ @cashman: the locker room at the club is a super idea. Years ago, one of my business colleagues and I put together a pretty thorough business plan for the airport lounge strip club. Great way to pass time waiting for connections. We had a variant plan for an offsite version that would shuttle PLs to and from the terminal and guarantee you wouldn't miss your flight. We would have flight information displays in the club, locked storage for baggage, text notification of departures, flight changes... And great dancers with a solid VIP room, naturally.

Just under 150 mph. Bought a BMW 5 Series for pick up in Munich. Drove it around Germany for the week and then had it shipped back to the US. In the US, top speed was 100 -105 mph in an AMG E 63.

The score keeping part is crude but is typical male behavior. I think the school official should get off his high horse and cut with the preaching. When trade is voluntary and non-fraudulent, both parties benefit and are better off after the trade than they were before the trade. The heavy girls who agreed to get busy with these frat boys also derived benefits in the exchange.

    Hilighter and LE
^^^m94: all valid points. One more factor that I would mention is an abundant pipeline of federal grant money to LE depts that can generate a "human trafficking" story. The syllogism is "if you are involved in any part of the sex trade, you must be a victim of human trafficking." Seems like the story about busting a strip club or AMP or whatever always has a note about shutting down human trafficking. With every city in the US facing big budget problems related to unfunded pension liabilities, free grant money from the feds is highly prized. The problem is they'll have to report back with results in return. Hence the raids, stings, etc.

If you are LE or liquor control in a city, why wouldn't you monitor this forum and others (Rubmaps, backpage, etc.)? You could never get a warrant from the info on this board (well, maybe in a FISA court). But it is inexpensive to have access to tuscl, to get indications of what is going on at the club and then make a reconnaissance visit. Particularly when mongers show no subtlety about their experience and name dancers specifically.
