Don't think there is anything wrong with spending on anything really, as long as it's within one's means.
It's when a hobby (stripping clubbing or otherwise) starts to taking control of your life or finances is when there is a problem.

Thousands....although I'm only about 3 years into the hobby. Probably close to my first $10K.
That said, am pretty measured on spending what is truly disposal income (including retirement savings). Kind of funny to wonder exactly what else I would be spending my money on during the past 3 years. :-)

I have no problem buying a dancer I'm interested in pretty much as many drinks as they want....and have had a couple of instances of buying a dancer I like drinks and her "friend" comes over to which I offer to buy the friend a drink too....but have a flock of dancers hanging at my table and buying them drinks seems like it could get expensive quickly.

My observation is most girls with nipple piercings are also heavily tatted, with the heavy tat look being an instant deal breaker for me.

LOL....PL U-turn.
Somewhat related, but sometimes I'll see a girl on stage who is hot and I go to tip her, but when I hear her speak I literally get so turned off that I end up hoping she doesn't stop by my table when finished on stage. If she does make her way over, I somehow have to wiggle out of the message I'm sending of tipping her on stage, but not wanting to talk further, let alone go to VIP.

For me it's when I tip a girl super hot girl on stage and she says she will stop over when finished. She has maybe 4-5 dances though to do on stage at different spots (think bigger clubs with multiple poles where a dancer does one dance each per pole). As the dancer is wrapping up her stage set and presumably is going to head over to my table, a dancer circulating the floor uninvitingly plops down at my table and wants to introduce herself and start talking. In a panic of losing the girl I've tipped on stage who is about to head over to my table but will go elsewhere as she sees me with someone else, I somehow (politely) have to try and get rid of the girl at my table asap. Can be a little awkward sometimes for me I guess.

Most of the time I negotiate before heading to VIP. Like knowing beforehand what the deal is, and guess I feel more vulnerable (due to the little guy) trying to negotiate while in the VIP and the girl knowing she already has me there and pretty much hooked. In other words, guess I find it easier to get a better deal/say no before heading to VIP vs. while in VIP. Never mind already being in the hole a song of 2 before negotiations begin.

Discovered the Detroit strip club scene about 3 years ago. Until recently, the only club I had ever visited was Penthouse Club. Great club.
Out of curiosity my last 2 trips to Detroit have tried out other clubs. Coliseum twice and Flight Club twice.
Coliseum is huge - at least double the size of Penthouse and even more than that of Flight Club. I have had a good time at Coliseum my 2 visits, which started early afternoon into the early evening. Around 8pm or so you can see a younger crowd start to roll in which is when I have left.
Flight Club....I want to like this club, but my 2 visits have not been good. Just don't think the girls have been all that good looking.
I say give all 3 a try, then follow up with your favorites your following days while in town.

I'm in the same boat at the OP.
At the moment have 3 solid OTC candidates. All 3 game me their numbers and made a comment we could "hand out / I could come visit you" sometime, knowing I visit from out of state and stay at a hotel in town.
My next step in the process is actually texting before my next trip into town and asking if they would want to meet you. Questions going through my mind at the moment:
1. When? Before or after a shift at work, or a day they aren't working at the club?
2. Where? Meet up beforehand somewhere for drinks and/or lunch/dinner? If so, do I offer to pick her up? Am I compromising my safety in anyway with this.
3. What? I'd would want to be able to go a few rounds with her on our visit. I would be indifferent to whether she spent the night or not - would probably be cool with whatever she wanted.
4. How much? Think I've got a ballpark in mind that should be able to get it done. My VIP trips ITC have been reasonably priced (in my mind).
At this point I just need to pull the trigger and set something up. If nothing else, I want to get my first OTC experience under my belt.

Whenever visiting Detroit I stay at a Hyatt place in Livonia. Believe there is another Hyatt nearby in Novi. Believe both areas are good. 5,000 points = $120 per night at the Hyatt Livonia. About 10 minute drive from Penthouse Club.

I've never bought a dancer food in a club, but I totally agree with and apply Subraman's logic when it comes to buying dancers that I like drinks.

If I've tipped a girl on stage or have someone stop by my table who I think I'm interested in, then I have no problem buying them drinks. It's a small investment to have their time devoted to you while you hang out and talk. I find my VIP experiences much more enjoyable when I've had a chance to talk and get to the know the girl for a little bit.
That said, I'm not the most familiar with all the drinks out there. When a girl orders a drink I kind of laugh to myself wondering if they just ordered an $8 drink or a $15 drink. Either way, oh well.
