Detroit question related to the meetup

JohnSmith69
layin low but staying high
I'm sure everybody has the Detroit meet up weekend (June 16-18) on their calendars. I'm clubbing for three straight nights, although we will soon choose one night to have an official meet up at flight club.

I'm making plane and hotel reservations today and would appreciate advice on what area of town I should stay in. I know how to get a good deal on a hotel room, so what I'm wondering is where to stay so I'll be centrally located for the clubs. Ideally I'd like to visit pretty much everywhere feasible except the crappy dives where heck eats lobster. But as a practical matter I'll probably spend most of my time in the upscale places with beautiful young white dancers.

One important caveat is that I don't want to be shot. Especially since I won't have a gun to shoot back with. So I'll accept a higher cost and less convenient location to be in a safe area of Detroit ( if there is such a thing).

Last time I stayed near the airport. It was somewhat of a drive to the couple of clubs I visited but nut horrible. Is that a reasonable choice? Thanks.

I think staying by the airport is reasonable, especially since you obviously like Flight Club. Some of your other good clubs with lots of young(ish) white girls are on 8 mile: Penthouse (west), Coliseum and Players (east). Last time I worked at Players was almost two years ago, it's the only place I have regularly worked day shift on. Things haven't seemed to have changed much in that regard, a lot of guys here have even commented on their day shift being one of the best around. Landing Strip is close to the airport, not sure how days are there since I haven't worked there in years but I think you could find what you're looking for. BT's ok, too.

With regard to the safety, downtown is really the only area you want to be in when it comes to Detroit, lots of nice hotels with security, but it's expensive and unnecessary/pointless for your plans. All the 8 clubs are on the Detroit side (south) of 8 mile; think of it like the Rio Grande. Everything is different south of the border. Luckily all those clubs have valet. It's unlikely that you will get shot, but anything is possible.

If you want to be centrally located, and you want to visit a few clubs on the East side (Coli and Players) I'd look at Southfield for a hotel room: There are a lot of hotels off of the M10(Lodge) and I696 corridor.
Staying in that area would put you 10 minutes away from Penthouse. 20-25 minutes away from Flight Club (and Rech's favorite... Bogarts) to the West. About 20-25 minutes away from Coli and Players (East down 8 mile from Penthouse). Also, BTs is not too far Flight Club down Michigan Ave.

I would agree with Warhawks on that.

Try the Southfield Westin. Nice place with good rates.
Stay away from I-275. You don't need it and it totally closed for construction.
There are three or four safe areas in downtown Detroit: midtown, theatre district, and parts of corktown. Otherwise there's very little police presence and you don't know your surroundings. I disagree Nina. Downtown is not safe. It's safe if I'm with you, but otherwise you should be extremely careful.
That said there's parts that are really hopping. Detroit is coming back. But it's still dangerous if you don't know the city, and you're from out of town.

Do you ever read my messages - go back and read them!

    I mentioned:

    Southfield - Westin / Marriott

Dearborn - Henry autograph / doubletree

    Airport - Westin / Marriott

Those are the best in those areas and Dearborn or Southfield are the most centrally located. No point in staying downtown unless you want to stay in a casino - which they often book up on the weekends.

Please make the official meet up Friday evening - I cannot make it there until 6 or 7 at the earliest on Friday.

I will try to stay at Henry autograph but if the rates are too high or its booked I will probably stay at the Westin Southfield - it's less than a 10 minute drive to penthouse and about a 20 minute drive to flight club.

I will keep you posted when I book my room

Lol. Shailynn knows his way around Metro Detroit better than most native Michiganders.

Course he gives directions in how close or how far the nearest strip club is...

Juice highly recommends the Magnuson, thats where Hotstuff meets Juice for their OTC sessions.

Heck, I would ask to just borrow your car so I could sleep in it. But I know you're really going to be there and are just making up the I'm gonna be gone crap. I fell for that in Miami. Not this time.

Hot stuff, you're too good to me. That looks like just the place to hook up with any DS I may find in my travels. Thanks so much.

Shailynn, you gave me a ton of advice so yeah I'll go back and read it. And I have no problem with Friday night as long as the other cats don't mutiny. Posting with further details on the meetup to follow next week.

Thanks to everyone for their input.

Whenever visiting Detroit I stay at a Hyatt place in Livonia. Believe there is another Hyatt nearby in Novi. Believe both areas are good. 5,000 points = $120 per night at the Hyatt Livonia. About 10 minute drive from Penthouse Club.

Maho $120 is a rip off when I can get the Magnuson for $15.78 - boogers in the carpet and pubes in the sheets never hurt anyone.

Friday sounds good. The guys have good recomendations. I've lived here all my life, I know the safe places as well as shailynn but he gives good info.

Nina said she wasn't sure if she's be in town that weekend. But I do hope to go to her club if she's there just so we can smoke together and she can see that I'm not 58. I also hold out some remote hope that lone wolf was right about her wanting me to be her first extras customer.

    Shailynn thanks good info

I believe Nina works in downtown Detroit in the Greektown district at Bouzukis. So if you are hitting the 8 mile and airport area clubs only you won't run into her anyways.

Bouzouki is 15 minutes from 8 mile. 8 mile is the northern border of Detroit. It's eight miles to downtown.
