"Do you have 5 $20s? I have to tip out and all I have are $100s."
My brain wouldn't have heard this as a humble brag.
My brain would have heard "Do have 5 real $20s for this counterfeit benji my boyfriend made."

At least once per week you are going to roll up to a red light, have the person in the car next to you roll down their window, and ask "Is that a Ferrari?" At some point you just start answering yes to nip the conversation in the bud.

Space geneious and inventer of the grunges
Coors in the 70's was a smaller brewery. More of a regional brewery. Their beer wasn't available east of the Mississippi because it was unpasteurized and had to be processed, shipped, and stored cold. It may just be nostalgia on my part, but as a teenager I remember loving Coors. Now it is just as bad as Bud or Miller.

Space geneious and inventer of the grunges
The 70's:
Girls wore halter tops and tube tops with their low rise hip huggers. Braless was in fashion.
Birth control was free at County health departments and most girls were on the pill.
STD's could be cured with a week long round of antibiotics.
Girls equated feminism with sexual freedom and were still enjoying the sexual revolution.
You could go to a party on a Saturday night and pretty much know you were going to get laid; usually with someone you just met.
Drugs were weed, shrooms, acid, quaaludes, and if you were rich ... cocaine. There was no crack, crystal meth, or fentanyl. Oh, and Coors was actually good beer back then.
Music was diverse in the 70's. Country rock (Allman Bros., Lynard Skynard) Jazz rock (Joni Mitchell, Boz Scaggs) Progressive rock (Yes, Genesis) Blues rock (Savoy Brown, Rory Gallagher) and Funk, Punk, Early Rap, Petty, Springsteen, Zeppelin.
It didn't get much better than being a teen in the 70's. Compare that to the 90's kids listening to Alanis Morissette. No wonder y'all had teen angst.

I have a theory that Liz is one of those women that are so beautiful, they feel like they can just lay there. That any man would be lucky just to be with her.
I would be more than willing to put my hypothesis through multiple rigorous trials to confirm.

I wouldn't want the government to mandate a vaccine requirement for every citizen. I think it is reasonable however to make it a precondition to receiving Medicaid. If you expect tax payer to pay for your healthcare, at least minimize the risks. Medicare is different. People bought into it throughout their working years. They can chose to vaccinate or not. Medicaid recipients can chose to receive Medicaid or not, but if you want it you need to get the jab.

"Flu infections are down nationwide, with a hospitalization rate of 0.7 per 100,000 people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. During the last flu season, the rate was nearly 100 times higher — 66.1 per 100,000 patients. Pediatric deaths also decreased, from 189 last year to one this year." Living well and enjoying my retirement
Sounds like you have cardio covered. Are you doing any resistance? I love my Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. Less space than a full rack and a quick twist to raise or lower weight as you change exercises. If done sensibly and progressively, you should be able to work arms, shoulders, and chest without exacerbating your cervical condition.

The ONLY way I would be in favor of a one time student loan debt forgiveness is if the Federal Government stopped guaranteeing student loans with the same legislation. Let the banks and loan handlers take on the default risk just like every other loan product. Let the Colleges deal with the reduced revenue that comes from this new found fiscal responsibility. Majors that produce lucrative careers and hence low default rates would still be funded. Less lucrative Majors wouldn't. Colleges would have to lower tuition to be able put butts in seats. Tuition has sky-rocketed because no one has to pay for their classes every semester; "You got 20 years to pay this off, don't worry about it."
Otherwise, it is a big F you to everyone that worked hard and paid off their debt. Also, F you to future College students that have to pay for school. But you lucky bastards in between, you guys get a free degree!

The few times I been to BBD I have always been happy with the girls and the mileage, but the bar does suck. Huge club with large fancy bar and they don't stock any rye whiskey? I ordered a Manhattan and twenty minutes later the waitress comes back to tell me they can't make one because they "don't have any cherries." So, not really a bar; more of a beer or shot in your soda pop kind of place.
Having said that, it is hard to beat for beer, boobs, and butts.

" In the US, you have to fear driving around with your girlfriend if either one of you is black. "
There seems to be a commonality to most of these recent stories. Attempted arrest (usually with an outstanding warrant), struggle in an attempt to get away, and then tragedy. You would think if you lived in fear of the police, you wouldn't struggle or run from the people with the guns. I am afraid of police to a certain extent. I have known some that were complete assholes. I wouldn't resist arrest and not expect a poor outcome for me.

I know he liked everything liberal and disliked everything conservative. Even though he had an opinion about virtually every post, I don't recall him ever actually posting anything himself. What did he do to get banned? I mean even Dougster and SJG were tolerated. I thought banned was a ridiculously high bar. Did I miss some good drama?

OCCAM'S RAZOR
A. GLOBAL CONSPIRACY
A secret cabal of Chinese technocrats (because, remember, the virus is both Chinese and communist) create a plan to manifest a global pandemic.
They put the secret plan in writing and convinced John Hopkins University to publish it in 2017 (because, like, why wouldn't you want a smoking gun).
They convinced their scientists to create a virus that disproportionately kills off the elderly and the infirmed, i.e. the least productive segments of society. (Most already existing pathogens disproportionately kill off the elderly and the infirmed, but hey we need a new one.)
The scientists create SARS Cov 2 in a lab. It is more deadly than any recent flu strain, but not as deadly as SARS or MERS. Unfortunately, it unpredictably creates pulmonary damage, kidney damage, cardiovascular damage, and neurologic damage that may or may not lead to death in many people that aren't elderly or infirmed.
The Chinese technocrats decide to release it into the wild anyway. And of course, they release it in their own backyard, Wuhan. (Because they were smart enough to come up with this plan, but not smart enough to release it in America or India or any other country to shift the blame.)
Their plan is wildly successful and they create a global pandemic which achieves their goals of:
1. Suppressing the global economy which reduces cash flow to all the government entities. (And what government wouldn't want less money to spend.)
2. Making the people angry, anxious, and paranoid during an extended quarantine. (Because what government wants their citizens to be passive and complacent.)
3. Making people wear masks. (Because what government wouldn't want their angry, anxious, and paranoid citizens to have the relative anonymity created by wearing masks.)
OR
B. NATURE
A pathogen developed to the point that it included a human vector.
Historical examples include leprosy, bubonic plague, smallpox, polio, Spanish flu, swine flu, bird flu, SARS, Ebola, and MERS.
