Interesting story. Thanks for sharing. For every sex worker failure story, I'm sure there are even more failed PL stories. Life can be a real bitch.
Based on the politically correct, anti-sex worker culture in the US, I used to look down on prostitutes. No more, after entering this hobby. I've seen far more sex workers doing a great job of taking care of themselves, their families and friends, than I've seen get totally messed up. Sex work can be a tough occupation. At least some aspects of the career field are legal. Putting things in perspective, lots of people have tougher jobs.

The mind is extremely powerful, and most of us only use a fraction of its true capability. Most people easily understand seeing the present and remembering the past, but they have difficulty grasping the notion of "seeing" or "feeling" what's going to happen in the future. Einstein proved that time is a figment of our imagination.
Beyond our brains constantly trying to project what's going to happen next when we're awake, I personally believe premonitions, selected dreams, sixth sense, gut instinct, or that little birdie whispering in one's ear, are natural phenomena that happen to all of us. These forms of "extra sensory perception" (ESP) and others are heightened in some people. You may just be one of them SJG.
As a kid my ESP was a bit unnerving. As an adult I've learned to embrace and trust it. A recent example -- 15 minutes before a minor fender bender occurred behind me on the road, I "heard" the accident occur in my head. Trusting my senses, I looked around and didn't see anything happening. Fifteen minutes later I heard the real collision of the minor rear-ending accident behind me and I wasn't surprised.
This ability goes beyond intuition or putting facts together to predict an outcome. Some use this ability more than others.

1) you cannot touch the strippers - Not true at the clubs I've visited. However, level of touching varies from club to club.
2) the only get fully nude in a private dance - this is true of most NYC clubs which, with just a few exceptions, are topless joints.
3) they only do air dances (even in private LP rooms) - I've gotten good full on grinds at the clubs I've visited on open floor and in lap dance areas. In VIP, mileage is higher, but expensive. See my reviews for details.

I've tried a few clubs in Manhattan and continue to enjoy Rick's Cabaret. The club is well managed and has a really nice restaurant. The dancers are beautiful, and during my last visit I noticed an uptick in the lap dance mileage on the main floor. As my hands roamed and my lips caught a few nipples, there was no intervention from staff.
I met my ATF at Rick's. Our first and only VIP was intense. She came twice. No FS, but everything else was on the menu. Spent about $800 for an hour including tips. She moved to another Manhattan club with a $1,000+ per hour VIP, so we never made it to home base. Her gorgeous lips are memorialized in my avatar.
Unfortunately, my OTC game was in its infancy when I met my ATF, and I eventually lost contact. However with greater SC hobby seasoning, late last year I popped into Rick's to kill some time. Met a cute Latina who bit immediately on the SD/SB line. Enjoyed 3 OTC sessions before things fizzled. Reinforced "front-room game" SJG and others advocate. You can get laid ITC in Manhattan, if that's your mission, but it's very expensive. You can get laid ITC in NJ for under $150.

Hi poledancer83! You can remain out of the strip club scene if you put your mind to it. A few bits of advice:
1) Seek emotional/spiritual support from someone you admire and respect outside the club scene.
2) Cutoff contacts with the influencers from your prior strip club work. This will be tough, but very important.
3) Find an additional part-time gig, and cut expenses to the bare bone.
4) Take steps to further your education. Think about your natural talents and gifts, then seek certifications or a degree.
Quick story. A close friend and former stripper exited dancing 2 years ago. Took her a year to get her associates degree and now she works in her career field. She also works retail a couple days a week. Most importantly she's very happy and not headed back to the work that was a physically and emotionally poor fit for her.

Just read review comments coming back. That's fine too. I've used it to correct errors. Just don't like the routine badgering of first time contributors or those with low number of reviews. Seems the harassment of new contributors would discourage their participation. We need to encourage participation.

I learned some OTC lessons the hard way. Fortunately, never had any life threatening experiences, but got real sober about OTC. Had bad experiences on four occasions with different dancers after first meeting in the club, two were same night rendezvous. The same nighters were dangerous disasters. One got to the room and just went to sleep with her clothes on. I suspect she was trafficked and looking for a safe place to sleep that night. Dropped her at a hotel early the next morning where her "colleagues" were staying. The second same nighter turned out to be a scam. ROB asked for payment up front, then while I was warming up the shower she says she forgot her body soap and needed to meet her girlfriend to get it. She never returned.
In both instances, there could have easily been a pimp or bad boy boyfriend lurking. The strippers could have also been armed themselves. The other two outings were just super lousy fucks.
Lesson learned is to take the time to get to know a potential OTC partner. Build some trust.

Enjoy the relationship while you can. Just be honest, and true to yourself. Women love monogamy, locking down a guy. If that's not what you're looking for be firm and let her know.
