I absolutely agree with NinaBambina and Meat72. (I don't often say that!) My last three cars have been: Accord, Corolla, Corolla. I drove the Accord for 14 years and traded it in with 366,000 miles. My current Corolla is 6 years old and has 180,000 miles. I can afford any kind of car I want, but I love the reliability and the low fuel consumption of my rice burners and the fact that I haven't had a car payment since the 90s. When I see a stripper driving a Japanese compact rather than a sports car, I'm impressed with her financial savvy.
gamma, what in the world was wrong with Nina's use of the word pretentious? Just because you disagree with someone's political views doesn't mean you have to find fault where there isn't any.

Basically I agree with Call.Me.Ishmael. Arab chicks will always be under-represented in strip clubs. Arab fathers do a better job than infidels in keeping their daughters off the pole.
Some of you know that getting a lap dance (at least) from a Middle Eastern chick has been on my bucket list for many years. Last year I finally managed it, twice:
* lap dances at Club 390 in Chicago Heights from a gorgeous Persian/Lebanese dancer named Persia
* BJ at Fluffer's near Peoria from a half Arab, half black stripper with the body of a Papi_Chulo favorite and a glorious aquiline nose
I always wanted to be able to say that an Arab sucked my dick. Now I can!

With all due respect, a+digits, that's decidedly odd. Some of you finicky fuckers act as if homeless hepatitic hobos are jizzing on the food as it's being prepared in the kitchen. There's no reason to think that the food in a strip club is any less hygienic than food in a restaurant. In fact, I'll bet the food in a strip club is a lot safer than at almost any fast food joint!
And seriously: You'll dine at a stripper's Y but not partake of the club's bounty? Weird.

I agree: If she's the best of a bad lot, have a casual but frank conversation and see if the situation can be improved. My first VIP with a then-favorite last summer was surprisingly vanilla, in a club whose VIP room is known for its extras. I didn't say anything that time, but when I saw her a couple of weeks later and she proposed going to VIP, I simply said "I'm hoping for a somewhat more intimate experience this time". That's all it took to make her a regular BJQ from then on.

I may visit 20-30 different SCs during the course of a year, but only 6-8 of them deserve multiple visits. Of these 6-8 clubs, the only ones I ever order food in are Brad's Brass Flamingo and Club Rio in Indy, both of which have decent, reasonably-priced lunches, and Elliott's in Peoria, where I sometimes order something Lebanese for me and a chicken sandwich for my favorite from the Lebanese-American cafe next door. I find that strippers are surprisingly grateful for a $5-10 lunch.

Yeah, it's just you :) I don't feel weird at all eating in front of dancers -- at many clubs that I frequent, they certainly don't feel weird eating in front of me! The real point is that buying food for myself *and* a dancer for a total of $20 or less buys me a lot of time with her and a very intimate experience. For example, at my favorite day shift (Club Rio in Indy), I often spend the entire afternoon and spring for the $5 lunch special, which can range from hot wings to Philly cheese steak to a steak dinner with fries and salad, for me and a favorite. One time my then-favorite and I ate lunch together, brushed our teeth (!), and adjourned to the VIP room for a particularly hot time together.
I don't understand guys who are willing to spend dozens or hundreds of dollars on lap dances or VIPs but won't spend $10 or $20 on drinks or food for the dancers. Eating and drinking with strippers is one of the great bargains in the strip club world.
As a matter of fact, I'm looking forward to spending next Tuesday afternoon at Club Rio with a wing man, getting lappers, eating a $5 lunch with a favorite, and taking one lucky, lucky girl to the VIP room :)
Can I get an Amen from Subraman, the king of hanging out with dancers on slow day shifts?

The only thing I'm liberal with is compliments :) -- they cost me nothing and win a lot of good will. I try to find compliments that they *don't* already hear every day. For example, instead of telling a large-breasted stripper that I like her tits, I'll compliment her outfit, or her hair, or her fingernail polish -- you get the idea. (Actually I'll probably find some way to compliment her tits, too.)
Dudes tell my ATF every time she works that she has a beautiful face, eyes, tits, ass, etc. -- she hears that shit all the time. So I try to compliment her on nonstandard attributes such as her persistence (which in my case means sucking for as long as it takes to get the job done) and her reliability (i.e., making every date that we officially agree on).

At my regular clubs, e.g. the Silver Bullet in Urbana or Club Rio in Indy, I'm known to buy lots of lap dances, so there's almost always a stripper sitting with me hoping to be my next LD provider. I sit and tip at the stage a lot and ask the ones I like if they'll do a lap dance for me.
On Tuesday night at the Bullet, for example, I did two dances with each of four strippers, the fourth ending with a lapgasm, and then did one last lapper with the cousin of #4 just because I had told her I would and she has the potential to become the next member of my club harem.
I have no problem with asking strippers for dances, especially the most popular and attractive ones, and suspect that they like being asked instead of risking rejection when they do the asking.
As others have said: If you want something, especially in a strip club, just ask!

My ATF has four tattoos, all easily concealed for her eventual career in business (she hopes): top of one foot, side of groin, ring around one finger, and a small tramp stamp. This is at the outer bound of what I find attractive, but at least when she's dressed (which she is *early* in our dates) no tattoos are visible.
I guess I've never turned down dances just because of tats, but the fewer the better IMO.

In general I find a large number of tattoos a turn-off but not a deal-breaker. Most of my favorites have only a few tattoos, but I can think of a couple of faves who have their entire backs tattooed. I also *hate* tattooed titties (what an outrageous thing to do to one's breasts!), but if the dances are good and the tits are large and real, even that doesn't ruin her chances with me.

Almost all of my clubbing has been in the Midwest, the vast majority in Illinois and Indiana. My answer to your question will be unique to me, I'm sure: my all-time favorite strip club is the Silver Bullet in Urbana, IL! Sure, I will *never* get a handie there, let alone a blowie or more. Hell, I will seldom even fondle a funbag! However, over the years I've enjoyed literally *hundreds* of lapgasms from a long series of attractive young strippers of all shapes and ethnicities. Cover is $5, but I seldom pay it: it's free before 9 and I always have the VIP membership at $20 for six months. Beer is $3.25 ($2 before 10). Best of all, enthusiastic lappers with major grindage are only $15, having gone up a few years ago from $10.
Strange as it may sound, the lowly Silver Bullet is my favorite club.

I've really had only 3 ATFs in 23 years of clubbing, but i fell hard for #3, whom I've seen many times OTC since August. Unfortunately she violated probation recently and is probably facing some prison time, so I need to find a new ATF. One candidate blew me bareback just now; another will at 7 or so (after some much-needed recovery time). Next!

My own SC experience in Chicagoland in recent years has been quite good, including 50+ lapgasms, primarily at Club O, Skybox), Club 390, and Jimmy's in the south suburbs but also at PoleKatz in Bridgeview, All Stars in McCook, Bobby's and Carl's in Melrose Park, and Heavenly Bodies in Elk Grove Village, not to mention BJs at Annie's in Harvey, Blackjack's in Elgin, and a few OTC from a Jimmy's girl :)
Of course YMMV.

I'm told that the clubs in in the ESL area aren't nearly as fun as they were 10 or 15 years ago, but I discovered them only about four years ago and still think they're a lot of fun!
There are a couple of clubs in Sauget and three in Brooklyn that I'm unfamiliar with, so I won't address those. I am quite familiar with most of the *nine* clubs in Washington Park:
Go to Hollywood Show Club for a rather high-end experience, including nude stage dances and $25 "bed dances". This is where you'll find most of the more attractive strippers in town. I haven't been to Larry Flynt's Hustler Club. Miss Kitty's is a big step down in ambience from these two but can be a lot of fun. In December I got three *very* hands-on lappers, including VHM touching in both directions (i.e. FIV and HJ) for $40 plus a $20 tip! If I were a HJ aficionado, this would be my place.
Then there are the dive bars, which hardly offer lap dances at all:
Blondie's, Cheeks, and Wise Guys all have private VIP rooms -- with a lockable door -- for which you pay a fee to the house ($50, I think) and then whatever you negotiate with the girl for whatever activity you want. I typically end up paying a total of $150-200 for BBBJCIM, but other options are available.
C-Mowe's has a couple of semi-private "VIP areas" that are perhaps a bit cheaper, but I find the place and its staff depressing and haven't gone for a couple of years.
This leaves Dollie's, with its three infamous horse stalls "shielded" from view by bead curtains. I often tip several dollars at the stage, which offers high mileage in itself, and then take some stripper "behind the beads", where a CBJ (my usual here) costs $40-60 and a BBBJ costs $50-100.
IMO, the two best values in Washington Park are the VIP room at Wise Guys for $150-200 and the "behind the beads" experience at Dollie's for $40-100, depending on your budget and your need for privacy.
