Because I travel so much, I actively seek out numbers from any extras girl that I encounter. It is just so convenient to have a 'reliable' girl to call in Toronto, Detroit, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Chicago, Ottawa.

Nah. I have been in much sketchier places during my career, particularly when I was working offshore. The stuff you see in south-east Asia, the middle east, or waterfront sailors' bars in Europe makes the dumpiest North American SC seem like an establishment of genteel high culture.

I must say that virtually all of my crappy SC visits have come on late night ventures. Primarily because dancers are blasted on some mind altering joy of one kind or another.

Yeah, I could add some rowdy, spicy stories to this post; particularly from the 60s and 70s.
Today the money is just so much bigger and the equipment is so much more valuable that undisciplined behaviour is no longer tolerated. Random testing for drugs is now part of the employment deal for all employees. If the testers show up at 6:00 AM the morning after a rig pig has had 3-4 beers the guy will be down the road for failing the blood test - $150,000k job down the tubes! I have had to piss twice since May and I have had blood drawn once.
I am way cool with this. If an operation opts out of the testing program insurance will be virtually unattainable and THAT is just economic foolhardiness.
All that said, lotsa shit still happens in Alberta's boom towns. Fort MacMurray, the oil sands centre, is rife with Somali drug dealers, syphilis, $25/hr burger flippers at Micky D's, $15k/weekend escorts flying in from all over North America, etc. Never been to Showgirls in Fort Mac, but I would imagine strippers fight and claw to get gigs at that club.

I am ok with evening gowns but I think that they are rather silly in the raunchy atmosphere of the SC. I would also think that most dancers have no life experience with evening gowns. Trailer trash dancers in evening gowns are still trailer trash dancers. Let the girls wear what they are comfortable with and what we customers have come to expect.
In a fit of idiocy I once wore my tux (and all the rigging) to a SC in Toronto after attending an industry gala. I was swarmed by the girls and I left the club with a ruined tux covered with pussy glitter. Ever since I wear only disposable clothes to SCs and I expect nothing more than that from the dancers.
