I'm in the Albany area quite a bit. There are better towns for clubbing, that's for sure. But there are also a lot worse. PM, Jamesday, and I can give you some advice for where and with whom to get more bang for your buck if you change your mind while you're in the Albany area.

I visited two BYOBs in PA; both would let you bring in a cooler! At Partners Tavern in Erie, they let you just sit there with your cooler full of beer (or whatever) right next to you! Place smelled like the inside of a dumpster somebody had wiped their butt all over though.

There was a place called the Crazy Clown somewhere on Long Island maybe 25 years ago. I was drunk with some bachelor party and there was some dancer behind the bar who weighed at least 300 lbs if she weighed an ounce. My buddy and I tipped her $50 to put her clothes back on.

Drink. Trade. Refill. Lose $10 Million.
By JULIA WERDIGIER NYTIMES
Published: June 30, 2010
LONDON — Alcohol-induced behavior has produced many unintended consequences, but pushing up the global price of oil and losing $10 million must rank among the most novel.
Britain’s financial regulator disclosed on Tuesday that Steven Noel Perkins, a former oil futures broker, single-handedly engineered a jump in the price of oil a year ago and cost his firm millions of dollars with a string of unauthorized trades after a weekend of heavy drinking.
Mr. Perkins had just returned from a liquor-soaked golf weekend with colleagues in June of last year when he sat down in front of his laptop at his home east of London and started to place bets on Brent crude futures, according to a report by the Financial Services Authority. He continued to drink and place bets through the night, and by the morning of June 30, Mr. Perkins had placed more than $520 million worth of trades, at one point pushing the price of oil to $73.05, an eight-month high. The trades by Mr. Perkins were the main reason the price gained about $1.65 a barrel in just over two hours in the middle of the night, according to the report.
“Mr. Perkins’s explanation for his trading on 29 and 30 June is that he was drunk,†the F.S.A. said. “He claims to have limited recollection of events on Monday and claims to have been in an alcohol-induced blackout at the time he traded.â€
Just before 7 a.m., Mr. Perkins realized what he had done and tried to unwind his positions. To gain time he sent a text message to his boss at PVM Oil Futures saying that a relative was ill and he would not be in the office that day.
When a back-office clerk called Mr. Perkins at 7:45 a.m. on June 30 to ask for details about the trades, Mr. Perkins lied and said he made them on behalf of a client. PVM takes commissions on fulfilling orders from its clients, which are banks and other institutions, and does not trade for itself.
But by 10 a.m., PVM, where Mr. Perkins had worked since 1998, had discovered that his trades were unauthorized and suspended his access to the trading system. The trades cost PVM almost $10 million, the company said last year.
The F.S.A. fined Mr. Perkins about $107,600, for market abuse and barred him from working in the financial services industry for at least five years.
The regulator reduced the fine from about $224,000 to avoid causing Mr. Perkins “serious financial hardship.â€
Mr. Perkins joined a rehabilitation program last year and has stopped drinking, the F.S.A. said.

Much better to "stick my dick" in something that every Tom, Dick and Harry with "4K of disposal extra income" toasted on "amphetamines, cocaine, drink til blackout, etc" has already? I guess not only are you not "failing in life" but have an unerring ability to select strippers who are clean and monogamous with you.
Thanks for coming to the meeting LMN. Help yourself to some coffee in the back.

Dallas- apparently Founder is busy with other matters; I have flagged a few shill/duplicate reviews that have gone unaddressed. Write an honest review and cite the phonies ones in it, identifying them as duplicates or shills. Do the vast majority of decent members a service and put them on notice of the bs.

Clubber- I flagged the review Friday and it's still there. Also flagged some duplicate reviews the shillers are posting for clubs in my town. I suppose the ultimate consequence is the fact that their clubs suck so much that they think this is the best thing they can do for their club (which probably goes a long way to explaining why it sucks)

Having represented LEO myself, both in official and union capacities, I would be surprised if none of the officers' conduct was improper. 10 officers in the club and in the dressing room? Having them strip down to bras and panties. Didn't fly for for school officials searching an 8th grader for drugs (under the public school's lower standard of "reasonable suspicion")- see Safford v. Redding http://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/557/08-479/ - so I question how the SDPD believes it met the higher standard of probable cause for conducting their search (it is not indicated from the articles I have read- maybe the dancers consented? All it takes is a few singles, amirite?).
I'm not admitted in CA but if it is like other states, if any of these officials acted outside of the scope of their legal authority (under the color of state law), the city might have to provide independent legal defense for such officer(s) and that gets pricey.

Car key and wallet dating your sister
I've taken to buying drinks more lately as I have found it can be a great strategic investment. Take yesterday, at a favorite out-of-town club that has widely available extras. After an undesirable wench came up to me and rubbed her butt on my leg for a few minutes and thankfully got called to the stage, a dancer I favored once on a previous visit came over and made the usual proposition. I pointed to my full beer and explained that I just got here- blah, blah, blah. But she was attractive - an 8 - and while I wanted to scope out the talent in the club, I didn't want to necessarily lose her. Especially as she mentioned she already had a buzz on (it was 2pm). So I bought her a drink, cost maybe around $8 and that got her running interference for me (against the more fugly dancers) while I scoped out the room. All the while, she's shifting through the gears and getting well-greased for the CR. If I had identified a more likely candidate while she had her drink, that's the path I would have been free to follow.

Researched TJ quite a bit (great site which I probably read about on tuscl first, tjamigos.com). Wanted to go for a couple of days, not just a few hours. Papi, while no reviews on here say 'I ran into trouble' plenty of the serious TJ aficionados on tjamigos are more forthcoming and the founder/moderators have long lists of recommended safety precautions ...including hiding money and cards inside the hotel room phone (as a last resort) and putas who put rophenol on their tetas and encourage you to lick/suck or surreptitiously wipe it on their fingers then on your beer bottle. Yeah I know, how likely? Just seems a long way to travel and I passed through TJ a few years ago and suspect I may get bored when I am not mongering or tired of watching my back.
Electronman, Costa Rica looks interesting. I've been there (but not for SC+) and been dying to go back.

I'll second knightwish on about the costume. Have some fun, ie, nurse, schoolgirl, cheerleader, leather/pleather. It's not just for Halloween anymore. I think it might be interesting to see what elicits the most favorable response.
And as knightwish said, clothing that accentuates your cleavage, butt, legs, curves- all or whatever your best assets are. But without giving too much away. Sometimes my ATF wears a fishnet romper/body suit with a wide fish net that leaves far too little to the imagination (or to the anticipation of going back for a private dance...even though I've been there plenty of times already).
She would look amazing in a wonderwoman costume and I probably will have to get her one because of that!

Having been to the subject club about a half dozen times, and read all the reviews, I can honestly (and objectively) say that there aren't any unduly harsh reviews (perhaps two or three- it's been a while since I've read the older ones). The remarkable thing about the reviews for this club are the number of shining reviews that are the sole review of a member who has never returned to tuscl again.
On a separate note, I like his sign off line "Have fun being lonely". Maybe he should have his dancers use that as a retort to customers who decline a dance.

Excellent point GeorgeMD; I didn't think of that. Still maybe I'll have to append the management's "review" to one of my own, if it gets taken down. (I've flagged patently shill reviews for that club before and haven't seen them taken down)
