I see "Joe from NJ" has reviewed it as well. He's an authority on many a Vegas place.
While this can't be said for all Vegas clubs, I did benefit from giving a cold response to the cover charge at Deja Vu Showgirls. It was on the way to Spearmint Rhino so I stopped in. Door guy said cover was $20 eventhough there appeared to be little business (empty parking lot, no other customer(s) to be seen coming in/moving about etc.) I started to turn and leave and miracuously the door guy reached into his stand and pulled out a card for half off cover. Still left for the Rhino (hey, if I was going to cough up dough it would be for the best) but did come back in to the Vu on my way back to the hotel.

It may prove wise to "whip it out" before paying. After paying? The bouncers get to see how far you fly and the dancer has a story for every gal in the back.

Good find, Dave! The writer should be thankful he didn't witness a toilet flush & patron emerge while in the full nude portion.

I recall a Belgian stating Albania is viewed as the "armpit of Europe".

Sounds like that was a good kind of after-horas party. Bada Bing in Detroit played host to the wrong kind...

"bmore" stands up for history! Seems to write reasonably well too. Founder ought to hire her as the site curator.

"What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about strip clubs?
Well, I think the majority of guys think that they could offer these gals money and take them home, that they’re all prostitutes, and that’s not true at all. I would say a good 40 percent of them are no different from any of the other women walking around, except they just don’t have a problem taking off their clothes. They are comfortable with themselves, and they look at men as complete idiots. I can take that guy’s money, why not? Why not. And I love that.
The other misconception is that everybody there is on drugs and whatever. You couldn’t be. If these girls were drunk or on drugs, they couldn’t talk to the customers, and we would ask them to leave. Everybody’s there to make money, pure and simple.
What does it say about male sexuality that men, especially the big spenders, would go into the club and sit there for hours talking with some girl and spending thousands of dollars?
That we’re complete suckers.
Suckers, or you think it says something about how we deal with our sexuality?
We have no control over our sexuality or over our hormones. That’s pure and simple. The only time we have control is after we’ve busted a nut—that’s the only time in our lives when things are crystal clear.
So your view is that, especially the 40 percent of girls who are smart and doing it for a period of time, they were just taking advantage of men, and “good for them
Totally. Good for them. Why not?"
Totally reinforced by the expensive strip club drinks, sodas, etc.

Hard to go wrong with chocolate. Caffeine seems to work too. Knitting her a new outfit -- probably too risky!

Steve, you should've visited Bogart's or H8S before the booths went up. Ultra high mileage on folding chairs in plain view.

If you've been to a club or two, why not write some reviews? Some folks here may be able to benefit from your info.

You're welcome, Art.
There's a reality TV show set at The Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota, during the big biker rally every summer. In the first episode they're hiring "bartenders" to staff the many outdoor stands and beer tubs on the property. TONS of young college coeds from all over the U.S. who've arrived into Sturgis to make lots of tips in a short period of time. So a similar situation to the Calgary Stampede.

Every once in a while I get a gal who, after asking if I'd like a dance, asks for a tip for her time. Usually they get nothing from me, but there was a time recently when I was seated at the main stage and the $1s were ready to go for tipping. Rather than argue with the gal, I gave her a $1. When she was looking to sell $35 a song dances, $1 ain't much and won't make a repeat pest out of her.
