A dancer told me she was a "sub." How should I treat her in a VIP dance?
Very helpful, especially with navigating the boundary between being dominant (to match her sub role) and still insuring that consent if freely given.

Thanks for the clarification. Dancers need to be verified to access the VIP Room discussion Others need to have VIP status (but not be verified) to have access to the VIP room. The profiles also list members as being "verified" for "not verified." I'm not sure of the significance of the verfied status for member but that may be one source of confusion.

Hmm. I can see the VIP discussion but my profile says that I'm "not verified." Founder could you double check-- I have 167 published reviews and other contributions. EM

I've Just Been Robbed And Nearly Assaulted At Diamond Dolls Pompano Beach
That was the most tedious description that I have read. Here's the synopsis: I refuse to tip the waitresses. I got shorted 10 minutes on my VIP time so I tried to involve the cops. The managers are bullies. Who's right? My advice: Be generous, especially if you have money to burn. Tip the waitresses, if the service is adequate-- by the way, what is extraordinary service from a waitress in a strip club? Resolve disputes on your own, sometimes by compromising. Be respectful of others, including the TUSCL readers who suffered through the drivel that you wrote (and the customer who wanted access to the VIP room that you had abandoned).

I've got a bad feeling about this.
    Detroit SUNDAY dayshift?
A few airport clubs open around 6PM (Landing Strip) or 7PM (Flight Club) but if you really need an afternoon venue, Longball is correct about BT's Dearborn and Bogarts being some of the only options.

Vietnamese/bikini coffee shops-- how do they work and where are they located?
@Cristobal. As my tag line says, "too much of a good thing is never enough" so I'd be tempted to stop by for a bit of eye candy. It seems that I've read somewhere about impromptu strip shows at some of these establishments (or maybe that's underground Mexican strip clubs in California)? I do like lopaw's suggestion to have a plan B-- a nearby AMP to take the edge off a coffee shop visit! Anyhow, I'll add this to my agenda when I'm next on the west coast. Too bad these shops are not more prevalent in other areas of the US.

Very helpful orientation. I won't put these coffee shops on my bucket list and ahead of another 20 visits to Tijuana's Hong Kong Club.

Is herpes safe these days ?
Do some research on both strains of herpes (but especially HSV2, genital herpes) at a reputable web site. Notice that there are some medications to help manage herpes outbreaks and the risk of transmission goes down (but not to zero) when there are no active herpes sores. But the medications do not completely cure herpes. The virus remains dormant in a person's body until the next outbreak. Condoms reduce but do not completely eliminate the risk of transmission. Here's a helpful start but there are lots of other reputable web sites (WebMD.com, MayoClinic.org, CDC.gov): https://www.healthline.com/health/herpes-simplex Said another way-- nearly every good thing in life carries some risk. It is all about informed decisions and risk management.

Dancers brace for surveillance and more policing with new rules for Bourbon Stre
It doesn't matter to me what label you apply to these efforts (progressive, conservative, evangelical, etc.). What matters to me is that elected officials are expanding government control in a manner that infringe on civil liberties. In this particular case, skibum is probably off base in blaming "progressives." Notice that NOLA has retained Scott Bergthold, a lawyer who specializes in legal services to restrict sexually oriented businesses. I don't know anything about the political or religious leanings of the NOLA elected officials who are pushing this initiative but Bergthold has been on a crusade to regulate strip clubs in many states, seemingly driven by greed (after all, he is a lawyer) and conservative and religious ideology. If you do a bit of research on Bergthold's efforts to regulate strip clubs in other states, you'll find this quote: "Bergthold also has a personal association with socially conservative causes. He’s a graduate of Regent University’s law school, has donated to anti-gay marriage campaigns, and once worked for Pat Robertson’s American Center for Law and Justice." https://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2011/07/strip_club_feels_double_crosse.html

    If you had to "guestimate"...
I've probably averaged one visit per week (with some weeks having 2 or 3 visits) over the past decade, especially since discovering TUSCL and the level of fun that can be attained at certain clubs. Thus my lifetime count would be between one and two thousand visits.

Do we need a means of flagging/removing reviews?
^Liwet: I'm not suggesting censorship but I am suggesting a means of flagging (or at least discouraging) reviews that are plagiarized or that contain incoherent nonsense that have nothing to do with the club being reviewed. I see three possible solutions, all of which have pros and cons: 1) If a review gets flagged by X number (3? 5?) of members, that review is eliminated (or better yet, stamped as bogus) and it does not count towards the requirement for VIP status. 2) List the screen names of each member who voted to approve each published review-- there is a level of accountability there. 3) Appoint a moderator to review posts that get flagged (via the process described in #1). The moderator would not approve all reviews but would focus only on the reviews that were flagged.
