I went to the Detroit Penthouse during a sports telecast and was lucky to find a place to stand. And as SC says, no chance of getting a VIP dance during the telecast.

Years ago the owner of a strip club on Eight Mile in Detroit had his car booby trapped in the parking lot and ended up losing both his legs when he left work.
I would go to this club later when the Topless Prophet owned it, it was named the Booby Trap, and there was a lot more security. Still I was once robbed a block away from the bar. Depends on the neighborhood

^ He seems to be an independent agent named Kenny. He's associated with the Motorcity Showgirls agency somehow. He's been at Coliseum occasionally talking to dancers. One dancer told me he was her agent.

A dancer at Coliseum said the agent got money every time she showed up for work.

There was a previous post on another site that it will reopen August 15 and be run independently, but with only card games. Still the same reopening date as far as I can tell.

Filming had been completed last year and there was talk it would be aired as early as this April. Then there was some re-filming a couple months ago at Coliseum.

I've been told that some quality dancers from places like Texas have moved to or visited Flight Club because they could make more money? Could have something to do with the prices?

They mention cleaning up the streets. Just across Deja Vu on Woodward in Detroit the area is known for transvestite street walkers. Deja vu isn't gay itself.

Just to clear one thing up, the Penthouse Lounge on Livernois in Detroit is an inner city bar or restaurant. It isn't the Eight Mile Penthouse Club that's described as “Michigan’s only premier Gentlemen’s Club.â€

BTs in Dearborn had police come into the lobby to pick up one or more people with Warrants. This may have been related but still not a raid in the sense the others were.

@jackslash The Pantheon is in Dearborn. So far the clubs raided have been inside Detroit but that could change.

There's a new police chief in Detroit that was appointed by the new emergency manager for Detroit. He's been responsible for several high profile raids in high crime areas of Detroit. Not sure if he was involved with the recent raids on Toy Chest, Players, and Coliseum the last few months. The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has always conducted several raids each year on Strip Clubs, but maybe not this obvious?

Another link is saying the Warren Police Commissioner is more interested in other leads besides her occupation, although the news title still mentions she's an exotic dancer.

Flight Club is in Inkster Mi outside Detroit. Haven't heard about this in Detroit. I was wondering about the tipping.

Someone on Two Sheds with reliable information said the owner was local.
Wouldn't think it would be the Penthouse owner since it would be competing with another of his clubs, Coliseum. A couple years back the Penthouse owner almost bought Trumpps on Eight Mile and talk was that he would use the Score's name.

Here's a Craigslist ad for Scores that shows where it's located on Eight Mile. This might give some idea when it could open and enticements for the dancers. Awhile ago they said they would open in November.

@Dallas702; Using the % sign is confusing and could give the wrong impression. The % sign is normally 'dimensionless' with all the percents adding up to 100. Your number may have been a better way of expressing it but represents a number with 'dimensions' deaths per year per person.

@Dallas702; Is the number of domestic shooting fatalities, 800, the number that occurred in 2010. If so shouldn't you compare the 800 deaths with 2,468,435, the total number of deaths in 2010 according to CDC. This would give .032%. Still a small percent.

@jabthehut. You might be right. I'm not going to argue with you. But there is some danger in having a gun in the house.

According to Wikipedia two thirds of suicides are gun related. Some of the non-auto accidents would be gun related.

He bought players several years ago with plans to have a strip club with a sports theme. Players was closed down and the name of Players was changed to Cheerleaders and remodeled. But for some reason when it reopened there were new owners and the name was changed back to Players.

They used to have a SC on 8 mile in Detroit called the Zoo that had mud dancers and probably factory workers as customers. Saw quite a few fights. I think a bouncer lost some teeth once so they started using night sticks and throwing them out the door.
