Hate to disagree, FONDL, but there have been "significant" pieces of legislation passed on "controversial" issues. Wasn't anything much more controversial in Clinton's first term than NAFTA, and it passed. More recently, the Medicare prescription drug benefit was extremely controversial. Now, there are arguments that these were not necessarily GOOD pieces of legislation, but they were both significant and controversial.
One issue that even Washington insiders don't often discuss is the need in the Senate for 60 votes to pass many/most bills. You now have a system where the minority rules...it takes just 40 votes to halt many/most bills dead in their tracks.

Man, just let it happen. Sometimes a dancer and I will hit it off immediately and exchange numbers during our first encounter. Sometimes, its months later. Others might differ on this, but exchanging numbers does NOT necessarily mean the dancer is ready for OTC sex--learn from my experience. If that's what you expect, be upfront about it so there are no misunderstandings.
My current ATF and I exchanged numbers on about the 4th or 5th time we saw each other in the club. We've gone out about a half dozen times over the past two months--each instance was really enjoyable for me, and I think for her too. I'm far past being a horny young man, so the companionship means as much, probably more, than sex. Could I have it if I wanted it? Maybe, maybe not. I haven't pressed the issue and really don't see the need right now. That's just me--good luck no matter how you proceed.

with the ladies i've been with at Deja Vu Vegas, lot's of contact in VIP. no petting the kitty, though. it all depends on your connection w/dancer, how much you tip, etc. Most recent visit was March of this year.

I think I put up with it because I always think I'm the guy who could change her. I think I and others are often romantics at heart, and hope to "rescue" these "damsels in distress." 99% of the time they don't want to be rescued, but just want to continue doin' what they do.
My current ATF and I were supposed to go an event 2 hours away recently. She called at the absolute last minute to cancel, so it was impossible for me to find anyone else to accompany me. She did not apologize, until I brought it to her attention the next day, and made clear that her lack of concern was not appreciated. She then spent the rest of the nite apologizing and has asked that we try to make it to a similar event this summer. We'll see. She is great about returning calls, in fact, probably calls me more often than I call her. She at least tries to be on time when we go out. But after that one cancelation, I don't completely trust her. I can see plain as day that at some point, she'll do it again, or she'll simply grow tired of me. She is a stripper after all, and that's just the way it is.

I like "friskiness" from an attractive dancer. There's nothing nicer than a cutie gently carressing you...makes me want to take her to the VIP right now!...which afterall is what she wants. On the other hand, when some overweight, pockfaced, past-her-prime stripper approaches me, grabs my crotch and loudly asks "wanna eff me?" I want to run as fast as I can in the other direction.

Abbie, jailers do not have the right to, in effect, alter sentences, which is what was done here. They are to carry the sentences out as instructed. The judge explicitly said in his inital sentencing that she was to serve her time in jail, not in some alternative facility and not at home. If Paris indeed had a medical/psychological problem, the sheriff was to have seen that she was treated in a county facility. He had no authority to violate the judge's order. Quite frankly, I'm surprised her high priced attorneys did not anticipate this debacle--it was a big mistake to try to go around the judge.

two come to mind. Valentino's in Wash. D.C., one of the first I ever visited...and where I met one of my first ATFs. And a club in Seaford, Delaware burned down a few years ago. It was the first place I saw Playmate/Pet Linn Thomas dance. I could start a whole 'nother thread on what a beautiful and nice person she was and, I presume, still is.

IMO, it really depends on the lady. My current ATF has been quite frank with me about her life and background, and what she expects out of life. Usually she begins the discussion. On the other hand, as related in another thread, I was loudly rebuked by an otherwise very open and affable young dancer when I told her I hoped she would email me her picture...

i appreciate all the advice. i'm going to try to find a way to correct this situation--it may actually bother me more than it might bother her. i'm one of those "pathetic old men" another poster rants about (LOL!!!). Actually, I'm 31 years older than my ATF, so I see nothing serious developing, and frankly I don't want it to--i'm just too set in my ways. Nonetheless, she and I do enjoy yakking with each other and just sharing some laughs. I'd be happy if it just stayed at that level, but maybe it goes further, we'll see.

more and more strippers I see here in Ohio look like the girl you described FONDL. I think its characteristic of those from a lower socio-economic class. In talking to many over the years, that's where most seem to come from. The few that I've come across that aren't "lower class" are the ones without the tats, with up to date hair styles, better teeth and smiles, etc, although they are not without issues of their own.

no. FONDL is right...it's only a scam if ownership says prices are say, $30 per dance, but then when you go to pay, you are told you owe $35. No scam if you know upfront what price is, agree to it, and then get your dance. it's another argument altogether as to whether dances are over-priced.

I've learned the hard way, GFE or no GFE, never ever trust a dancer when it comes to money. We have a club in my town where this is never a problem becuase you never pay the dancer, you pay the management and they then pay dancer. there is never any "I'll be right back" b.s., although you are welcome to tip the dancer if you wish.

I'm not much on costumes EXCEPT...during NCAA tourney time in March, a real cute dancer got on stage in a cheerleader's outfit. She looked better than many legit cheerleaders I've observed. She made my all-wood team.

Think you're overstating the problem a bit here, jablake. Prices, for VIP in particular, are better than at other area clubs. If I pay cash for dances, my girl is given her money in cash by management...no tax issue there. And she has found ways to give me a number of free dances--although I admit it's a bit harder than under other circumstances.
Agreed, there is no perfect system. But that used by my ATF's club does eliminate dancer rip-offs.

agree with fungi on the new layout. i'm willing to give 'em time to complete construction, but right now the layout seems less than well planned.
