I started this thread, when I remembered being stranded in Mid-Town Atlanta during 9-11 and went to the CHEETAH CLUB everyday that week to watch CNN, drink and chat with the dancers and patrons. It was surreal, because the dancers still wanted to make $$$ and show their tits to us and the distraction was necessary.
I've been snowbound in Minneapolis and could not do anything but drink in the Hotel Bar until the blizzard let up after a couple of days.
I like Indy and would not mind being at Brad's, Dancer's and Rio's if I had to be there for a few days. However, I have had some GREAT experiences in Houston during what was supposed to be a slow week (between Christmas and New Years) and did not know that sorta thing was quite typical there.

I know that you guys are loyalists and have even become friends through TUSCL. Sometimes, I need to find out about some clubs in my area (or an area that I plan to visit) that are not listed on TUSCL.
I read and learn a lot from you guys. Thanks for being so frank and open.

My younger brother from California is visiting me in Chicago while my better half is visiting her family in the ATL. If I could have gotten away from her and the family, while in the ATL, i might have checked out some of the clubs you guys warn us to stay away from.

If you will take an overall view of my reviews; you too, will notice that I try to be fair and objective in my reviews. I consider Jimmy's Gentleman's Club to be my "Home Club" since its the closets to my domain. I will not rate it high because I have other options in the area which may better amenities or a wider variety of talent.
I have traveled the Midwest and have been to clubs in Indy which garner high reviews and sometimes my visits were good and sometimes not so.
If I frequently visit a club; I may only post a review if something has significantly changed ( good or bad ). If I get there once or twice a year; that is all I can really judge. Sometimes a weekday visit may be very different than a late night weekend stop.
I hope that the description is helpful and, yeah, I'm not a fan of the Chain clubs and yea, I like my fair share of dives. I'm open to whatever else you guys want to know. BUTT, I will stick by my rating knowing of course that YMMV !!!

Believe it or not, in that Big Metropolitan City which borders Lake Michigan at the other end of the State of Il, this topic is garnering a significant amount of discussion amongst the dancer community. I visited at least five different clubs over the last 30 days where contentious debate reigned more than the Obama vs Clinton as the Illinois favorite son/daughter.
Personally, I feel that the cost of drinks and dances will have a bigger impact than a smoking policy. I have seen dancers sitting on picnic benches, wearing trench coats over their outfits, sitting with the smoking lepers outside the door of the Silver Bullet in Urbana, IL. Business is still good and some patrons like the clean air and dirty girl combo.
I also noticed that there were more dancers smoking than patrons at Crazy Rock in Romeoville, during a recent visit.
My unscientific deduction senses that a non-smopking policy will have less impact than that of a local economy with patrons having some discretionary income (after paying for petrol)to spend on said dancers.

If you're traveling on I-80 heading to or from the Indiana/Chicago/Joliet, truckers are very welcome at the Silver Slipper Saloon in Ottawa, Il. Good club and great parking for the Big Rigs at this location. CDL or Union Card will get you a discount on admission. Full Bar, totally nude. Reasonable Drink prices and a Rainbow Coalition of talented dancers can be found here seven days a week.

Lady (with all due respect to EvilCyn) and Gentlemen (a presumption):
I certainly appreciate your responses to my query in this thread. I have been enjoting this hobby of ours for 20 + years and have seen the Best of times and the worst of times in Chicago and its suburbs. When I have traveled to other states, I often compare those experiences to what we had/have in Chicago.
For a very long time, all we had to experience in Chicago was Heavenly Bodies , the Admiral Theater and variety of jack shacks and peep shows. When the clubs opened with lap dances and private dances, the Bikini Club Dancers became more aggressive and expressive in their quest for $$$. Permissive and promiscuous was the rule of the day. I would venture to say that the proliferation of various forms of clubs have saturated the market to the point where a customer can find a club/dancer with his desired amount of costumed dress/level of friction/ and at whatever amount he wishes to spend.
Some of you have said that it depends upon the club or dancer. Not what she's wearing. I ask you can you justify a $20-$25 lapper when you cannot explore, fondle, or caress? You can get away with holding a dancer at her waist or give her a hug in some bikini clubs. Is that enough for a $20-$25 private dance wich lasts 2 and 1/2 minutes ?

You were right about the "meteroic rise" a few years back. There were either dancers or staff who submitted "10's" As I have indicated, Jimmy's is ashot and a beer joint and the regulars appreciate it for what it is. I just left there after drinking two beers and getting no dances. This was the third club I visited on a Friday evening and it lacked BIG TIME.
There was little excitement and the regulars were enjoying their 24 oz Pilsner Beers and watching the ball game while looking at topless ladies on the stage. Nothing wrong ... just nnothing special compared to other area clubs.

I think that the "self promotion" reviews by management and staff will simply read like it was intended. Hype is Hype. Thank God and those who find clubbin' to be a good use of our time; that we can distingusish and reveal the bogus reviews.
I have given high numerical ratings to clubs that I particularly don't want as my "regular" club; however if the club does everything right and makes an effort to be upscale and extremely customer friendly (although expensive) I will still give a very high rating.
Although my once-a-week joint is not "high-end," I like it for what it is. A shot and a beer joint with the same clientele and dancers. It ain't fancy and I give it a 7 rating for the most part. When I see a higher/lower rating; I am usually curious as to what other clubs the reviewer has been. In the instant case. I smelled BS and I am calling it what it is.
Like Sgt Joe Friday said: Give us the FACTS.

I was looking for the same thread. I just read a review by RAVEM for the club that I visit every week, Jimmy's Restaurant in Chicago Hts, IL. NOT ONE element of this review was factual. Jimmy's has NEVER had a cover charge , does not have a big common room for lappers; in fact they have very comfortable padded leather cubicles with high partitions to provide such privacy. This reviewer has never been to or inside this club and gave it a 4 rating. We ask for real reviews and fairness. What should we do when we spot these fakes?

When Valerie Bertnelli was on that 70's sitcom, "One Day at a Time," she may have been considered a little THICK. After marrying Eddie Van Halen and giving birth and being a MOM she became FAT. Looking at the Jenny Craig commercials, she is still FAT.
I recently saw Mary Lou Retton on an Olympic documentary and she may be THICK, but she looks great for a 40 sumptin' Mom.
